Fair warning for a likely very long post and a LOT of yapping of me pretty much gushing about Nulla (prolly, idk I'm typing this before answering... we'll see).
8. What are the tropes/tags for you and f/o? (Think AO3 tags)
I am very new to AO3, so idrk its tags very well, so I'm just gonna answer with the tropes I think suit Nulla and I (& A/R).
My s/i has the ability to travel across worlds pretty much as they please (aka me inserting them to many medias) and also take on many, many different identities/forms in order to fit into those said worlds, and this was usually a venture they took alone, and did so for quite some time before Nulla entered the picture.
The main one I think is something like "Lovers in every universe/timeline", or we'd at least definitely find each other in every universe and love each other, which is something taken quite literally between Nulla and A/R specifically (can't remember if I yapped bout this idea to you yet, sooo I'll do it here :3c )
It's through his deep connection with me (and in turn, A/R), that allows him to be able to sort of "join" them in their travels, and naturally, he does. He follows them to literally any world they end up in, even if its one that's less than pleasant, and even if the "identity" they take on in that world is less than pleasant as well, he genuinely doesn't mind and still loves them/me the same.
I actually have a short story I'm in the process of cooking up where that exact scenario happens, but the world is my planned interactive story fantasy world (yk the one), and he actually ends up taking the place of the reader (don't ask how he did it— he won't answer :) ).
And, as you know, the "identity" they take on in that world is one where they're constantly putting up a very cold, distant front, playing up the part of the "cruel, heartless villain" that all of the humans (and others) believe they are — of course, that's not how they actually are, but Nulla is the only one who knows who they really are in this case.
Jeez I yapped a lot about that, sorry 😭😭 but uhh yeah, that's the main one I think. I used a lot of my brain power on just that, and I really don't know enough about other tropes/AO3 tags (as I said, very new to AO3), so I'ma leave it with some other tropes(?)/story tags/idk words I think would fit us, maybe?? idk man

Oooh now this one is really interesting to think about 🤔 Tbh, when I first read this question, I wanted to say that maybe Nulla is the yapper while I'm the listener, but I think that actually fits for both of us??
We both love yapping to each other about things we're passionate about/are knowledgeable about/etc. and we both also love listening to each other do so, so I think we're both the yappers and listeners at times :3c
Will say though, I may be the most yappy between us, (un(?)surprisingly, just because I have a habit of rambling a lot whenever I get started talking about my stories/something I'm really passionate about (and I think he knows that...).

Okay, so I had to skip this one briefly to think about it bc I wasn't sure how to answer it hshs
Nulla has a lot of methods of cheering me up when I'm feeling down, which usually depend on the exact reason I'm not feeling that way.
The most common, or the thing that pops up in a lot of his methods for cheering me up, is honestly as simple as just reminding me that he loves me, that he's there for me no matter what, and that he's proud of me. Whether he says it verbally, through actions, or both.
It's really simple, but the fact he's more than willing to consistently remind me, even if those things would be/are extremely obvious, especially to anyone else, just means a lot to me and is usually more than enough to bring my mood back up again, even if its only a little bit.
22. What are your favourite hobbies to do together with f/o?
Does parallel playing count as a hobby... bc I think we do that quite a lot.
Fr though, I think listening to music or watching stuff (YouTube, movies, shows, whatever we're in the mood for) together are our go-to picks. Planning to make him watch a 3hr Little Nightmares video at some point with me, as well as some videos a friend recommended about some args/horror stuff :3c

To answer the question, I think I'd have to say I have a few favorite ways to feel closer to Nulla, but my top ones are usually propping my phone up somewhere either with the home screen (which is him) completely visible, listening to either of his themes (Misconception or Fell, though the latter does make me feel relaxed/sleepy since I put it on to sleep), or if I'm at my laptop, I'll open TEAG and open one of my many saves from his route(s) and just uhhh leave it open? ':3c
The last one is my most favorite to do tbh bc it makes me feel by far the closest to him. Since in canon, having the game open is like a "window of light" for him (his exact words), I like to do so even if I'm not actually actively playing it so it feels like he's there with me, or as close as he can be, at least.
I'd say my habit of propping my phone up with the image of him on my home screen completely visible is my second favorite method of feeing closer to him, though, since it's the easiest. I recently started propping my phone up while I do chores, so he could almost watch me ig while I do them. It sorta feels like body-doubling to me and helps motivate me a surprising amount hshs

During my first playthrough of Nulla's route, this song was the first one that came to my mind when I got the idea of making a playlist of songs for him, and it was also the very first song added to said playlist.
Before I knew him, listening to this used to give me ig "bittersweet" feelings. It'd gave me hope that I'd eventually be able to connect it to someone in the future, though I'll admit that hope was rather small.
Now though, it makes me really happy hearing it bc I feel I can finally connect it to someone (Nulla hshs). I really don't know how to explain this better, sorry.
3.) Almost, So Close, Maybe - Mercer Henderson
This one was the second song that immediately came to my mind (and was also the second song added to that first main playlist).
To me, at least, it kind of feels as though it (mostly) describes Nulla's feelings towards the player, or more specifically his and the player's relationship. He's aware of his own situation, the fact he's a fictional character and can't truly be with the player bc he's not real, but because he's so desperate, he's willing to "settle" for the closest thing he can have.

Nulla generally calls me & my s/i lots of sweet endearing Spanish nicknames such as cariñito, mi vida, cariño, mi corazón, cielo, etc. (A lot of my inspo to learn Spanish came from this ngl).

» I think they're favorite games might be Black/White story wise, but Red/Blue or Gold/Silver since I imagine one of those might've been his first ever.

» He LOVES the futuristic Pokémon from Gen 9, Scarlet/Violet.
» Violet is definitely their favored one because of being able to easily catch the futuristic ones, and he also loves Miraidon.

Would it be possible to get a story where X saved the reader once, and they politely thanked him and offered sweets as reward. He was surprised and intrigued that they didn't want autograph or didn't pester him, so in the following days he kept an eye on them out of curiosity, in most normal and absolutely sane way. He would use his dimensional powers and pretend to be his own grafitti on the walls or in random ads and posters, sometimes would be even hiding in the floor. Reader's suspicions grew when they felt random touches or he saved them from tripping over etc. Some ads had X on them, and then they suddenly didn't anymore. Suspicious. He was eventually caught red handed by reader. How? I will leave it up to you!

Today was supposed to be relatively boring and uninteresting. Though, it seemed that one of the many local villains had other plans. X wouldn't have intervened, but he happened to be literally right there, and the hero that had come to deal with it was too focused on the villain to notice you were even there — That damn moron.
Of course, saving you was effortless for him. With just one simple snap of his fingers, he'd saved you from becoming collateral damage to the fight between that hero (who he didn't care about) and villain (who he also didn't care about).
X had expected the usual reactions he always got whenever he saved people or ran into civilians in public in his hero form: squealing, pestering him for his autograph or something else, the attempts to flirt with him or drape themselves over him — as well as some inappropriate comments here and there, though, he tried his best not to think of those...
Yet, he didn't receive any of that from you. No, instead, you had looked at him with this certain sincerity that he couldn't recall ever seeing from anyone else before. And, when you'd spoken, your tone was polite, just as sincere as your eyes and smile, and full of genuine gratitude.
Well, that was certainly a new one...
However, as if that wasn't strange enough for him, after you'd verbally thanked him, you'd kindly offered to buy him some sweets as a way to 'properly' thank him, as you'd put it.
Your not only polite, but also kind demeanor had managed to successfully catch the usually unfazed number one hero genuinely by surprise — as well as left him feeling almost overwhelmingly intrigued about you, considering you hadn't acted at all the way he'd initially assumed that you would.
You'd managed to exceed his expectations, to catch him off his guard — something he couldn't recall anyone else, even any other heroes, doing before...
And, in doing so, you've successfully managed to catch the attention of the most enigmatic —and very likely most powerful— man in the world without even realizing it (or meaning to).
In the days that followed, X had to repeatedly reassure himself that what he was doing wasn't necessarily 'stalking'. He was just... 'keeping an eye on you', that was all. He was just... curious about you, nothing more.
And, luckily for him, his powers made that perhaps a little too easy for him to do. Thanks to him taking the number one spot as the top hero, there were advertisements and posters of him plastered at practically every inch of the city, allowing him to hide in literally plain sight.
He could follow you essentially wherever you went. Of course, his normal job as a 10-6 office worker in his civilian form did make following you constantly a bit of a challenge. However, he naturally found ways to get around it — he is X, after all.
Despite what he kept telling himself, however, he couldn't deny that he felt strangely drawn to your... uniqueness. Although you were just another average, normal person, you managed to stand out amongst the crowds in his eyes. Not because of your appearance, but because of your demeanor, and especially the way you treated him that fateful day.
Of course, though, you aren't completely oblivious. Ever since that day that the top hero, X, had saved you, you've had the feeling of being watched near constantly. You tried to ignore it, considering that whenever you would look over your shoulder, you'd never once catch anyone there.
But, somehow, that made the feeling even worse.
The thought that he was the one somehow, and for some reason, following you had naturally popped into your head due to the 'coincidence' of the timing. However, you'd quickly wrote that idea off.
After all, why would the number one hero be following you of all people?
Yet, you couldn't push away your ever-increasing suspicions that, maybe, you were right — because the 'coincidences' weren't lessening, they were only increasing...
Ever since that day, you could've sworn that the amount of advertisements and posters around you with X's face on them had grown quite significantly. And, as if that wasn't already odd enough, you swore that you'd see his face on an ad, poster, or even on the walls one moment, then, the next — it'd be gone.
As if it had never been there.
Then, there were the, although very brief, feelings of feather-light touches you'd occasionally feel. They were never entirely uncomfortable, though. In fact, it was strangely quite the contrary.
Those random, unexplainable, and almost ghost-like touches were never invasive, and you'd usually only feel them if you ever tripped over your own feet while walking somewhere. Or, if you dropped something, you'd swear that you'd feel the ever-briefest feeling of delicate fingers just barely brushing against yours — as if someone had caught the object you'd dropped, despite it hitting the floor (which looked much more colorful than you remembered...).
As the days turned to weeks of this, X had long since given up convincing himself that his behavior was just curiosity, or just 'keeping an eye on you' anymore. At this point, following you around had just become a part of his routine, something he did without even putting any thought into it.
He wasn't following you around anymore because he felt like he had to 'keep an eye on you' or just because you had simply intrigued him — he was following you because he'd fallen hopelessly in love with you, and he had no clue how to tell you.
In truth, X doesn't know how, or even when, it happened. Maybe, it was the way you smiled when you were genuinely and sincerely happy. Or, perhaps, it was the sound of your laugh that was like a beautiful, almost hypnotic, melody to his ears.
Maybe, it was the fact that he'd gotten to see you be so... yourself.
The fact that, because he followed you home on occasion, he'd gotten the chance to see the way you are when no one (as far as you know) is around to see you — and he... he loves it.
He loves the way you let yourself lounge around in your free time, whether you are just sitting on your couch or bed watching TV, or you are playing games, or you're doing something else. He loves the way you sing and dance to your favorite songs without a care in the world.
He loves you.
And, oh god, he has no damn clue how to handle that.
X wants so badly to tell you, but he knows that would be a very bad idea. After all, he has been following you around these last few weeks without you knowing. It wasn't like he could just reveal himself and say: "Hey, I know I've been basically stalking you these last few weeks, but in doing so, I've fallen totally and completely head over heels in love with you. Will you please be my partner?"
... Damn it.
He isn't sure just how long he's been wracking his brain to come up with a way that he could make this work — mostly trying to figure out how he could 'happen' to run into you in his civilian form, considering you wouldn't recognize him that way. However, him being himself, he wants it to be perfect. He wants your 'first' meeting to be perfect, that way when he inevitably confesses to you, you will (hopefully) accept his feelings.
Though, as it would turn out, it's his own meticulous planning that ends up getting him finally caught.
X had gotten so caught up in his own thoughts that he hadn't noticed it right away when you'd abruptly tripped over something while you were walking home for the night. When he did finally notice, the hero didn't really think (for a change), and he snapped his fingers: causing him to appear at your side and catch you before you could hit the ground.
... Wait, what did he just—? Oh. God damn it—
He feels his entire body go stiff when he realizes just a beat too late what exactly he's just done. You can practically see the way his brain is going about a billion miles a second, the internal panic screaming in his head about how much of a fool he most certainly is, by the way he isn't wearing that seemingly usual calm, confident smirk of his. His jaw is tight, lips pressed into a thin line — but his hold on you has yet to cease, you notice.
However, you also notice something else. The poster on the nearby wall that once had X on it is now vacant, and his touch... You recognize that light, almost delicate, yet now subconsciously protective touch.
You can't help smirking a little, realizing quickly that you'd actually been right in your initial assumption: the number one hero is the one who was following you these last few weeks.
"So... you were the one following me, after all." You say aloud, seeing and feeling him flinch as he quickly snaps his attention to you, dark eyes staring at you with panic as well as embarrassment, confirming your assumption.
There are visible hearts in his eyes, though, when he looks at you, even through his yellow-tinted sunglasses — which you notice have now cracked a little. His face is visibly red, and he's totally fumbling as he struggles to get a response out, some kind of explanation or excuse — anything.
Damn it, damn it, damn it! You know?? Hell, of course you do. Damn it. Does that mean you're mad at him? He wouldn't blame you if you are, you have every right to be, after all.
Yet... strangely enough, you don't look angry... But why would that be—?
Your laugh suddenly interrupts the rapid, panicked train of thoughts running through his head.
"You know, if you wanted to ask me out, you could've just said so." You tease lightly due to noticing the hearts in his eyes and the redness in his face, hoping that you are right in this assumption too of what that means.
You find out very quickly just how right you exactly are after he just... stares at you for a few more seconds, processing what you just said and mentally composing himself. Once he has, though, he smiles; softly, warmly. Affectionately and lovingly.
"You're right... I'm sorry." X starts before snapping his fingers.
A small bag of your favorite sweets and treats, as well as a small bouquet of your favorite flowers —and perhaps a plushie of himself— appear in one of his hands, his other now holding one of yours; gently, delicately, as if you're the most precious thing in the whole entire universe.
His head is bowed a little, causing his yellow-tinted sunglasses to fall down his nose just enough for you to see his dark eyes behind them: his eyes that still have those visible hearts in them, the size of which grow ever-so slightly as those eyes meet your own.
"Will you grant me the honor of taking you on a date and making you mine?"

Bai Xizhuang hated that saying, perhaps even more than he hated working overtime — because to him, it is so very wrong. Or, at the very least, it has become wrong ever since he met you.
He wasn't usually a sensitive or fearful person. Or, at the very least, he hid any and all sensitivity and fears he had extremely well.
He remained stoic and unfazed in the office, even when his boss would announce that they had overtime, he'd keep his outward expression neutral — despite the raging frustration within him.
And especially when he became 'X', the number one hero, he's made absolutely sure to keep any and all even slightly potential weaknesses carefully hidden behind the façade of casual confidence.
Not that it is entirely a façade because, the truth is, he genuinely believes in himself. He's entirely confident in himself and his abilities. He fully, and honestly, believes that he will win any and all fights or confrontations with just the simple snap(s) of his fingers.
No, that isn't the lie he keeps so carefully hidden behind that casual, perceivably arrogant, confident smirk of his hero self's; or the calm, collected neutral expression of his normal self's.
The lie he is trying so damn desperately to keep hidden is the fact that he has one fatal, glaring vulnerability.
And it's you. It's you, and his own stupid feelings for you.
Your arrival into his life was abrupt; unplanned, unexpected, and unaccounted for. You were like a chaotic and hectic storm; you'd appear, you'd wreak havoc (on his heart and head), then you'd disappear — and all with seemingly no clue of the nearly overwhelming, blinding impact you'd leave on him in your wake.
During this complex, intricate game of chess he's playing with the other heroes' fates, he can't afford any distractions, and especially not any unknown, unpredictable variables — and you are the biggest distraction and unknown, unpredictable variable of them all.
The worst part of it all, though, is the fact you genuinely don't know, nor are you even a remotely bad person. You're flawed, yes, but he loves those flaws. He loves those little imperfections that have made you into the captivating and mesmerizing masterpiece you are today.
X doesn't fear the dangers that being a hero brings. He doesn't really fear the, albeit low, potential that he could get harmed, or worse. He isn't even all that afraid of the, again albeit low, chances that people could find out his true identity.
No, the sole thing he's currently utterly terrified of is that if he tells you how he feels for you, that you won't say it back.
It truly is ridiculous, is it not? He's the top hero, the almighty X, and the only thing that truly scares him is being rejected by you, one out of the billions average, regular people.
Pathetic is probably a more accurate description, he thinks, huh?
Yet, despite his fear, he finds himself becoming increasingly and helplessly drawn to you; like a moth to a flame. He finds himself hoping that you're watching whenever he fights a villain as X, hoping that you're as impressed with his abilities as many others are — your opinion is the only one that really matters to him in the end, after all.
He finds himself wondering if (and secretly hoping) you find his hero form as attractive as many of his own colleagues at his office seem to. Yet, he also finds himself wondering if you do, then would you find his incredibly average, normal self attractive too?
Bai Xizhuang supposes that he truly is pathetic whenever these thoughts begin to consume his mind. He could be at work, typing away on his laptop, and thoughts of you will randomly begin appearing in his mind. Or, worse, he'll be out as X, battling against a villain of some kind, when your face will flash through his mind, and he'll wonder what you're doing in that moment.
He's totally and utterly pathetic for you. Pathetically, hopelessly —dangerously— in love with you.
And that... Oh, that is what truly, completely, and utterly terrifies him.

Bai Xizhuang can handle the overtime, even if its unpaid. X can take getting hit by a villain, or even another hero with a grudge against him (There's plenty of them who do, after all). He can take overhearing the way his co-workers talk about his hero self right in front of him without any clue that it's him they're even talking about. He can handle the overwhelming stress, pressure, and weight of all of the top 10's fates in his very own two hands.
None of that frightens him.
"And I could fall a thousand feet, and I know that I'd still be... More afraid of the things you say — Tell me that you're mine, or else I'll pass away!"
No, the only fear the infamous, almighty Hero X has is what you might say if he ever tells you just how much he adores and cherishes you: how much he loves you.
And so, that's why he's come to the conclusion...
... He will never tell you.
He'll continue keeping it inside, despite how painful it is; how much his heart longs for you and only you. Despite how desperate he is to finally say it aloud and hear you say it in return; how desperate he is to hold you and kiss you, to be able to call you his.
Because there's always the chance that you don't feel the same way.
And Bai Xizhuang would rather take unpaid overtime and overhearing his co-workers gossip about his hero self, while X would rather take a punch directly to his handsome face from Queen and handle the fates of her and the rest of the top 10 heroes, than ever take that chance.

Your loving boyfriend took immense pride in himself when it came to knowing you better than anyone else. As such, he naturally knew what he believed to be a very crucial detail about you:
You were terrified of thunderstorms.
You hated thunderstorms, or storms in general for that matter, more than you hated receiving phone calls without warning (unless they're from your boyfriend, of course).
That was why he made it a point to check the weather forecast frequently. If there were even hints that there was going to be a potential storm in the area, he'd make sure he was prepared — and that was exactly the situation he found himself in.
Bai Xizhuang had woken up at the usual time he always did, got up and took his normal morning shower before checking his phone and immediately opening the weather app to check the forecast. This, although minor change to his morning routine, had been added after the two of you began dating, and he found out about your fear.
He instantly frowned, however, when he saw that there was a high probability of a thunderstorm later in the day, closer to the evening. Thankfully, it was showing no signs of storming during the majority of the day, specifically during the time he'd be at work.
He just had to hope that he didn't receive any overtime today.
Of course, he texted you several times throughout the day — he couldn't not text you at every chance he got. He made sure to tell you about the incoming storm that way you could prepare however you needed to.
And although you didn't say it explicitly, he could tell by the subtle change in your texts that you were anxious about it. He'd have to pick up plenty of treats for you.
Thankfully, for once, luck(y Cyan— sorry) seemed to be on his side, as he not only didn't receive any overtime, but the thunderstorm in the forecast had yet to actually start. Though, the sky had gotten increasingly darkened with clouds throughout the day, especially now.
Damn, he'd have to hurry.
With that in mind, Bai Xizhuang wasted no time as he made several stops on his way to your apartment. First, was the convenience store to ensure he and (mostly) you had everything you'd need, such as plenty of snacks (of course). He then stopped by your favorite take-out place, picking up your comfort foods.
He also may have bought both of you some X colas to share, and some of his own merchandise as a gift for you, but that was besides the point...
Once he'd gotten everything he felt was necessary, he ensured he was alone before snapping his fingers, teleporting to your apartment's front door in an instant. Once there, he knocked on the door, doing one last, brief look-over of everything he'd gotten to ensure he hadn't forgotten anything.
Of course, you weren't surprised he was there, and so quickly at that. He did this every time he noticed there was any potential for a storm ever since learning of your fear; he insisted on being there, hating even just the thought of you being alone when you were scared.
But, oh was your beloved, adorable boyfriend rather... Extra.
He smiled sweetly at you when you opened the door and let him in, giving you a quick kiss as he did so. You naturally noticed the several bags he was carrying, and you couldn't help laughing when you'd noticed the one with some of his own merchandise in it.
You found it both cute and funny that he did that, even more so that he seemed rather determined to spoil you rotten by giving majority of it to you, usually saying something the lines of: "X is your hero first and foremost, and I don't want you to forget that."
God, is he such a goofy idiot. But, he is your goofy idiot.
By the time the rain had begun coming down, thunder occasionally rumbling outside, Bai Xizhuang had already gotten everything setup, and the two of you were already sitting together on the couch, your favorite show playing on the TV in the background while you both indulged in the snacks he'd gotten — him sometimes attempting to make you laugh or impress you by doing small magic tricks for you.
Of course, he unfortunately knew that even despite his efforts, the storms always seemed to find ways to startle or even outright terrify you — usually whenever a particularly loud, sudden crackle and boom and flash of lightning could be heard or seen outside.
Whenever that happened, he never hesitated to pull you closer to himself, oftentimes pulling your head into his chest that way you could hear and focus on the sounds of his heartbeat and voice instead of the storm raging outside.
"I'm here, don't worry." He whispers softly and reassuringly. His fingers gently massage your scalp as they slowly, carefully, card through your hair. His arm is wrapped securely around you, holding you as close as he possibly can, as if you're the most precious thing in the universe — because, to him, you are.
"Just focus on me, darling." He continues, keeping his voice quiet and gentle.
The two of you stay like that for a long while until you, eventually, are able to fall asleep to the sound of his voice and heartbeat, and the relaxing feeling of his warmth and fingers combing through your hair.
He smiles slightly when he hears the faint sounds of your snoring, but he doesn't dare to even think about moving. Oh goodness no — he doesn't want to risk waking you up.
Instead, he stays there exactly as he is. Holding you as close as physically possible, fingers raking through your hair, as he keeps his heartbeat as steady as he can while staring down at you with visible hearts in his eyes — though, he can't quite help the way it skips a beat, or two, at the simply precious view of you sleeping against him.
"I love you." The words leave his lips in an ever-so faint, barely even audible whisper, as he kisses the top of your head and continues to look at you with the most sweet, adoring, and nearly even lovesick look in his eyes.
That is, until he inevitably ends up dozing off as well right there on your couch with you. That's okay, though, because he's holding his favorite person in the entire universe safe in his arms.
