Tbh Japanese pixel artists (and Japanese artists,,,, and artists in general but this post is about Japanese pixel artists) don’t get enough credit, like. Literally. I’ve seen pixel art from the SAME pixel artist reposted countless of times to countless of aesthetic blogs who have never considered the concept of crediting art, with some generic aesthetic caption and it’s reposted so much to the point that it’s nearly impossible to find the source while the actual artist has just recently moved to a new home—new home meaning a cheap garage. So like. Shoutout to Japanese pixel artists and all they have to deal with.

(It would probably make more sense for me to write this post in Japanese but I got no sleep last night so)
