just to make it clear tho: i don’t like a//otor and i really don’t think it’s gonna happen so. ur not gonna see any of that on my blog and i really don’t wanna see any of that on my dash either

I don’t ship a//otor, but I do like lotor as a character. I despised him before season 5. Now I like him even though his redemption arc was pretty rushed... However I am the type to let bygones be bygones in nearly all situations. What did you think of his redemption arc? do you think it was lazy as it was only spread out over 6 episodes?

#like what has he MORALLY done that has redeemed him……..he’s given the paladins info while in captivity#and he’s trying to get them to give him access to quintessence#and to rule the galra empire#and to gain the secrets of oriande#we see his reaction when he kills the white lion he is literally! not worthy!#what part of himself has he redeemed 

im gonna rb w my own tags bc really, what moral dilemma did he face that has supposedly “redeemed” him? his motivation for joining the paladins was self serving (bc he had nowhere else to go) and he killed one of his subordinates and friends while he did it. after joining the paladins he’s only tried again and again to have them aid him in his quest for power (getting the galran throne, getting unlimited quintessence, getting secrets to altean achemy from oriande). what has he done to aid the war effort? how many planets has he liberated from oppressive galran rule? what measures has he taken to reinstate freedom on the parts of the galran empire that are currently under his rule? 

his pitch has always been that he’s been a “nicer” oppressor and he’s used his altean heritage and his and allura’s father’s friendships to get on allura’s good books. he hasn’t had a redemption arc and it’s baffling to me that yall think that what, just bc he gave the paladins info on strike missions while he was in captivity and trying to gain their trust that he is trustworthy? 

show me a scene where he’s placed the life of someone else over his own or shown true compassion or guilt for what he’s participated in so far, and i’ll tell u about whether i liked his redemption arc or not.
