Its so nice to see my favorite show get this far, I know its cheesy to talk about it, but these show is how I was able to find out so many of my hobbies and even meet my best friend! I owe a lot to this show and I hope I can see it to continue to grow!

as someone with experience in the discord console, unfortunately they made it a little trickier than just ctrl + shift + i about four years ago, i believe.
specifically what you're going to want to do is find settings.json in %appdata%/discord or the mac equivalent which is found with finder > go > go to folder. there is a setting there titled "DANGEROUS_ENABLE_DEVTOOLS_ONLY_ENABLE_IF_YOU_KNOW_WHAT_YOURE_DOING": and if it is not, copy and paste "DANGEROUS_ENABLE_DEVTOOLS_ONLY_ENABLE_IF_YOU_KNOW_WHAT_YOURE_DOING": true into the .json and then, only then you can do crtl + shift + i or command + option + i on mac.
UPDATE: this solution appears to no longer be working due to changes on discord's end. you can still try it, but fair warning that it may not work!

now, i am not in the UK, so i cannot test the age verification. but i did input the code to make sure it wasn't malicious - this all seems legit!
a few FAQs:
this works on the desktop app version of discord. i do not know if it works on the web browser version and it will not work on mobile.
is this safe? that's up for you to decide! i'm sharing my experience, but i am still a stranger on the internet. you have to make your own decisions about online safety and whether to trust what internet strangers tell and show you when dealing with things you don't understand.
it's unclear if this will work preemptively in places that do not have age verification yet, but might soon. unless you're just curious and testing it like me (and i wouldn't do that unless you have a test account), i don't think there's any reason to do this. but maybe keep this post handy, if you're worried you may be subject to age verification soon.
here is a step-by-step picture guide to doing this on the Discord desktop app:
i am going to assume you know little to nothing about computers for this, so if you already know some of this, bear with me!
first, open up your file explorer. the icon for it looks like this:
(if you can't find this icon on your desktop or taskbar, you can use your search bar to find "File Explorer")
once you find your file explorer, you should see something that looks sort of like this. (if you aren't on this exact screen, click on "This PC" on the bar on the left!) (also, i will be blacking out names of my personal files/folders for this tutorial - they're irrelevant.)
you'll want to double-click on Windows (C:) to open that drive.
you should have some folders that look like this (possibly with others i don't have). double-click on Users.
not showing a screenshot for this step - you should see a list of folders, one for each user on the computer you're using. double-click on the one for your current user.
more folders, but we're almost done! your AppData folder should be in here. open that.
if you don't see the AppData folder, at the top of the screen, click on View, then check "Hidden items". then open AppData.
anyway, now you should be in the AppData folder. from here we're going to open the Roaming folder, and then the discord folder. no screenshots of these just for brevity. (it's all folders all the way down.)
now, there's a bunch more folders in the discord folder, but we're ignoring all of those. scroll all the way down.
see settings.json towards the bottom there? we're going to open that. if you don't have a program you normally open code files in, your PC might ask you what program you want to use to open it. you can go ahead and open it in Notepad. (if you have any difficulties with this step, you can also right click on settings.json, go to Open With >, and select Notepad.)
this is what my settings.json looks like. it probably looks like a bunch of gibberish, but that's okay! all we have to do is very easy.
first and CRITICALLY IMPORTANT STEP: add a comma at the end of the last line before the }
without this comma, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN, so make sure you add it!
next, press Enter to go to a new line BEFORE the }, and copy and paste the code from above. here it is again for ease of reference:
copy and paste the whole thing, including the quotes and underscores!
mine isn't spaced the same way as the existing code, but that's fine. you can now save this (either Ctrl+S or File > Save) and close out of the file.
if you already had discord open when doing this, you will need to close and reopen discord. otherwise, open discord now. once discord is open, press Ctrl + Shift + i. the console should pop up on the right-hand side of your window.
it gives you about a bajillion warnings that what you're about to do is going to hack your account. again, this is your chance to decide if you trust this method or not. if you do, copy and paste the code above. once again, provided here for ease of access.
copy and paste the whole thing, including the ; at the end, then press Enter.
my console initially sent me a message about not allowing pasting, and had me type "allow paste" and press enter before i could then paste the code. i sadly didn't get a screenshot of this, but make sure you read what the console outputs and follow its instructions if it does this to you.
when i pasted in the code successfully, the console just sent back "3". as i am not in the UK and not facing age verification restrictions, that's as far as i can test this. i can't tell you if it works or not - just that it hasn't harmed my account.
aaaaaaand that's it! if anyone in the UK uses this method and can report back if it works or not, that'd be greatly appreciated! otherwise, go forth with the knowledge of how to unfucken your discord!

I called VISA just now as of writing this post. The representative directed me to [email protected] as mentioned above. However, the phone was picked up very quickly when I called. Metrics of calls received still make an impact.
