@nerevoite | Tuilinneth Starter call | Thandir
LET IT be said that kindness was something that Tuilinneth found strength in, a little bit of light that she offered to combat the rising darkness that seemed to linger at the edges of her vision. Which was why the personal attendant of Thranduil found herself holding a knitted scarf over one arm – a plate of cookies && a cup of milk in her hands. Humming quietly, Tuilinneth brightened at the sight of the Elven Messenger.
“Ah, Thandir!
I’m so glad I found you,
I have something for you.”
THE ELLETH scampered up to the other, rose-petaled lips creased in a radiant smile, holding up her little gifts.
“Here are some cookies and some milk for before you go to bed
&& a scarf for your journeys.
You need to wear warmer clothing.”
A LIGHT flush dusted over her cheeks, shifting in place.
“Apologies,
if I am overbearing.
I just get so concerned for people sometimes.
&& I do love to bake and knit!”
AN EYEBROW quirks ever-so-slightly at the words suddenly directed at him. It is not usual for someone of such high status to speak to Thandir or his family, unless they seek healing from his mother or brother, or to send a letter along with himself or his father. Still, the act of KINDNESS brings a smile to his lips, even though he has exchanged words with the Elleth only on a handful of occasions in his life.
“That is ever so kind of you, my Lady,” he says, giving a slight forward tip of his head and shoulders; a small bow of respect to her. He wonders what he done done to deserve such a gesture, but he will not ponder it too long; not now, at least, when he is about to set off to deliver another set of letters to a distant Mannish Kingdom. “Thank you very much.”
“You are certainly not overbearing,” he adds, letting himself smile a hint more as he runs his fingers along the soft wool of the scarf that she holds. “This is a welcome treat.”
