BOLD what your muse can do. Italicise what they can sorta do or do in certain verses. REGULAR text for what would be rare or difficult. Strikethrough what they can’t do at all.

“You will be.”
The reply was growled out from behind sharp, gritted teeth, Eir feeling the smallest flicker of satisfaction as she shoved the other woman out the way and cause something of her’s to break in tiny, petty revenge. Hey, it was either that or some body part; which would she prefer shattering?
“Next time watch your fucking step, kid!”
Dressed in her uniform, indigo coat’s collar turned up to add another layer of mystery to her appearance, Eir was playing Lace - she had an important place to be with a very important (and soon to be deceased client). She didn’t need some overladen pack mule making her late. Unfortunately, the small container she had been carrying had been dropped, no-doubt causing the glass vials within to crack. Good thing it wasn’t a batch of her experimental plague, merely some highly-lethal dosages of homemade poison.
“Fuck. I swear to God if you’ve destroyed my next pay check- ooh I could just rip your head off right now!”
Ness glanced up at the stranger when she picked up the sharp tone in her voice, a little shocked by the sudden rudeness. Is everyone in this place so rude? she mused to herself. “Aren’t you a bundle of joy.” The young witch lightly commented, placing her hand on the bottom of her backpack, relieved to feel nothing leaking through the fabric. She hoped it was just some herbs or dried plants.
She looked the stranger up and down before noticing the container, her eyes lit up with curiosity, trying to ignore the vicious threat, “What’s that?” She inquired leaning in to look a little closer.

Oscar scratched his scruffy chin a moment as he moved over to look at the pages with the ingredients. Humming quietly to himself, he nodded and pointed to the pages, “Well lucky for you, I just received an order of Staghorn ferns or Elkhorn, doesn’t matter which you call it, from southern Australia the other day.”
“These other two however…..” he paused and looked up to her, hands on his hips as he thought, “Are you wanting to just see them to know how to identify them or are you wanting to purchase some?”
“Oh that’s wonderful, thank you.” Ness responded, as he mentioned he had one of the plants she was looking for. “Both would be preferable,” She chuckled, studying the diagrams in her book slowly as she spoke. “I’ve never been particularly good at identifying any plants.”
she’s beauty, she’s grace, the glasses fall off her face
professorpinto:
Oscar glanced back at her but said nothing until they were safely in the back room alone, “I might count carrying one’s grimoire out in the open as not a wise thing to do yes.” He sucked in a slow breath and took a good look at the young woman before him.
Under the present circumstances, Oscar gathered that this young witch wasn’t used to being out and about with normal people. He tilted his chin down a bit as he asked, “What is it I can do for you jonge dame?”
“I’ve never had a problem before,” Ness gave a gentle smile, stopping for a moment to look around the room and take in their surroundings. “Well,” she placed the book on the nearest flat surface and pulled it open to the page she’d been looking at previously. “See, it only has the plants ‘secret names’,” Ness gestured at the two different spells, “Queen’s delight, stag’s horn, and weasel snout...” She read from the page, “I’m not particularly good at identifying plants, so the diagrams don’t really help.”
rebelsxsaints:
How was he to go about this? He knew that his problem was ultimately his fault; most predicaments usually were. Perhaps he could somehow find a way to make his errors seem less…idiotic.
“I have a tendency to make the wrong decisions,” he began to explain. “I mingle with the wrong people…I made a deal with another magical being and I made the choice to back out before fufilling my end of the bargain. As of right now he’s out to get me. I suppose what I’m asking for is a form of protection. If there’s a spell, some easy solution out of this I’d appreciate it very much.”
The easy way out–it was something he sought out often. Cooper didn’t like to work hard for things. If there was a simpler way to do things, he’d take that route over the more fufilling one. It was a despicable trait, or so he was so often told. He of course didn’t believe that.
“If there’s a spell or curse placed on you, I doubt there’s an easy solution.” Ness told him, matter-of-factly, “You might have to tell me a little more then that.”
There was a very good chance she had something that could help, but it wouldn’t be easy. She was still learning about her magic, and had only cast a few protection spells since she’d left home. Ness moved around the room, turning books over in hands, trying to decide which would have the best spells or potions to deal with his problem. A small pile had quickly formed in her arms, and she took a seat.
“I need to know as much as you’re willing to tell me.”

Phillip had a day off from practice and the school was out for the holiday, glancing at the bright orange haired figure walk towards him. “Yes of course.” The prince answered he did lean down reaching for the jars and pile of books now holding it against his chest, he smiled glancing at the new figure “I’m Phillip and you are?”
“Thank you so much,” Ness let out a sigh of relief, glad to finally be free of juggling with books and jars. “It means a lot.” She gave him a warm smile, before taking a few books to even their loads. “Lovely to meet you Phillip, I’m Ness.”

Oscar glanced around before gesturing that she follow him to the back room, “Follow me,” he whispered, turning to head to the back so they could speak in private. This wasn’t the first time he’d been visited by a witch or wizard after his days at the school but it was the first a sorceress carried her grimoire out in the open.
Ness watched him walk away for a moment, before shrugging slightly, “Might as well,” She laughed lightly, closing the book and tucking it gently under her arm before following behind the stranger. “Have I done something wrong?”
phillipofauradon started following you
"Hi, hello..." Ness called out to the first stranger that crossed her path, she was fumbling with books and jars, trying to keep them in her arms, to no avail. Every time she managed to stand, most of them would fall out of her grasp again, “Could you give me a hand, please?”

Finally in a new town, Ness was on a mission. She needed to find a new place to stay, and a new place to find much needed supplies. The downside to carrying her life with her meant that the huge bag she’d been lugging around knocked into almost anyone she got too close to. She wondered down an unknown street, without looking where she was going, and almost walked directly into a stranger. “I’m so sorry!” She announced as she toppled out of the stranger’s path, her bag hitting the wall. The sound of glass cracking could be heard from inside her backpack, Ness sighed, hoping it wasn’t anything containing liquid.
I’ll call out in the night for my mother But she isn’t coming back for me Cause she’s ᴀʟʀᴇᴀᴅʏ ɢᴏɴᴇ

Late night supply runs were probably one of Ness’ least favourite trips to make, but due to the paranoid nature of her supplier, night was the only time she was able to get exactly what she needed. Stopping to adjust the jars in the bag she carried, hoping to stop them clinking as she walked, Ness noticed a nearby stranger who seemed a little worn down. “Are... are you okay?” She called over to him, trying to hide the slight worry in her tone.
professorpinto:
Oscar was topping up some soil for a potted fern when he heard someone call out. Wiping the dirt from his hands on his work apron before he turn to greet them, “Of course. What can….”
He stopped mid sentance when he saw the book, “Is that…what I think it is?” He glanced from the book to the young woman standing with it out in the open.
@nessybell
“Pardon...?” Ness followed his gaze to the book in her arms, back up to her. It took her a moment to realise what the man went, but in a swift motion she held the book to her chest, seeming to forget the book’s title filled the cover. “What do you think it is...?”
rebelsxsaints:
Cooper looked up as the door opened, blue eyes settling on the face in front of him. “Vanessa Bell, I assume,” he started, trying to keep his tone as friendly as he could. He realized now how strange it must be that he’s shown up out nowhere. `Now he was also suddenly aware how creepy it must seem for him to have tracked her down. The role of stalker was the last one he wanted play. His mother always did say he was awful at first impressions.
“My name is Cooper Kingsley and I’m afraid I’m in a bit of trouble.”
He knew magic wasn’t typically a thoroughly believed subject. Explaining how he knew it existed and his reasons for needing it once again was going to be difficult.
Cooper cleared his throat and lowered his voice. Leaning in, he continued, “I understand you dabble in magic. I’d like to make a proposition, if you’ve got the time.”
Ness’ stance softened, like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. “I thought you were human,” she mentioned. In her family’s circles, if a ‘normal’ person found out about magic, they were dealt with accordingly. Unfortunately, being secretive wasn’t particularly something Ness was good at.
“It’s a pleasure, Cooper Kingsley,” Although a little concerned about how he found her, she didn’t exactly go out of her way to hide her location. “You can call me Ness.”
“What kind of trouble are you in that you need my help?” She inquired, stepping aside as she spoke, gesturing to show he was allowed inside.
