day late entry to the @tes-gala for this year, because apparently my spine decided it wanted to riot for the duration of the event!

wanted to play a lot with the element of a serpent-sign nerevarine for the theme. I always joke about him being the spiritual equivalent of the Black Star. Some symbolic callbacks to Redguard, as well as Sermon 33. The concept of not-stars is just so beyond cool to me.

OBSESSED with the designs this year, which helped pull me out of my art rut.

Grew up in Mournhold, but was the Tribunal’s equivalent of Damien from “The Omen”.

His grandfather was a Javert-Meets-Frollo type Ordinator. [He’s also my Vestige in ESO]

Seryn is uncertain if he’s hallucinating, haunted, or possesed when he starts hearing One Specific Voice. He’s not concerned enough to find out.

He has abysmal speechcraft and charisma skills. Downright atrocious, to the point of needing two other people to make him more palatable.

Seryn has robbed his own family’s ancestral tomb. Twice.

He spends his post-plot time in Molag Mar, where he’s coined “The Madman of Molag Mar”. Mostly for his award-winning personality and fits of histrionic rage.

I have imagined voryn physically appearing in the mortal plane by first emerging from the heart itself, it reminded me of hatching imagery (like how divine vehk is born in their sermons) or insect metamorphosis

I gave voryn slight hint of insect wings to show his divinity and his tie to Lorkhan (also called The Scarab) as well as him obviously being the symbolic sixth house three-eyed beetle ((bug)))

I made the mask look different, because i think it originally belonged to (maybe) Kagnerac and resembled his own face, voryn changes it later, this has its own implications but i wont get into it

I read somewhere that theoretically its kind of plausible that the bones of voryns mortal body survived through the heat (becoming ceramic), i now realize it probably makes no sense and i dont know what im talking about, but hey again it just looks cool

Nerevars corpse in distress is self explanatory, sword hints at voryns retelling of events - that he was struck down by nerevar, i usually dont inform of why i put things in a piece, but i decided that this time i want to

people pitching the “oh what if we DID get an elder scrolls show” is fun because i am undortuantely inclined towards the hater-ass take of “if we get one, it’ll likely be something like 4e001 and we’re seeing the underbelly of the great war and the rise of skyrim’s plotline”. as to easily evade any well known characters but ride the high of Roman and Viking Fantasy in (especially american) culture.

but if i had my way and the world was made of pudding:

adventures redguard gets adapted into the first season of an anthology series, because the writing for redguard is genuinely so fun, and cyrus’ charisma is prime for taking an “hour of your time a week”.

adaptations of the novels in the story; but honestly Pelinal’s ordeal. this one’s tentative based on who would direct it.

anything first-era pre 1e700. maybe the war between the nords and the chimer. bottom of the list because i trust people the least with this even in Pudding World

I really adore seeing people do extremely cool stuff with how dark the origins of the Vestige are

You are violently murdered for no reason and your soul sacrificed to Molag Bal. A daedric Animus takes your form and manages to do it perfectly, a rare feat creating a perfect Vestige. Most of the soul shriven are imperfect vestiges, just mindless shuffling husks. It replicates your memories and knowledge to the point it feels like it is you, but You are gone. You can die and reform due to the nature of a daedric animus being unable to truly die*. You Have No Soul. You Are Not You.

How do you go about your life as this? Convinced yourself that you Are you, but you're not. You're a perfect copy. Do your friends accept you as you? Are they weirded out by you? Do people mourn you while you stand in front of them convinced you're still alive?

Somewhere out there, Tamriel's most powerful necromancer has your corpse. What is he doing with it? Was it discarded without care, or does it serve him personally? You can't do anything about this.

And then you Do recover your soul, at long last, but the body is still not yours. You're inhabiting the body of a stranger that knows you Perfectly. Now go on and live your life, Vestige.

A scribble of my Nerevarine whose aura is a lot less “Hooray! It’s the Hortator!” and more “This man will show you that your arm can rotate 360 degrees from your elbow”.

His whole situation asks the question: What if the version of Nerevar that came back was the heart-eater, the northman-hunter, the son of Boethia? What if his death filled him with immense spite; and that was all he could remember? Vague shapes of violence and betrayal, but never his own name.

The exiled third son to his family, born under the sign of the Serpent. A member of the Morag Tong, a rogue agent. Leans into his wretched dreams like a flower begging for sunlight. Does not mourn the Red Year, as he considered it the natural end to the Tribunal’s way. He very well relished the fall of Baar Dau, and may have instigated it himself.

Deeply antisocial, fairly violent. Still hears/sees/feels something that should have died in Red Mountain. Loves it too dearly to let it go. By Skyrim, he’s 400+ years old and living in a ruin in the Velothi mountains. Begrudgingly guiding/raising a young girl who may be the Dragonborn. Who may also be distant kin.
