jaewon doesn’t want either of them too feel pressured but if he’s honest,, he doesn’t feel pressured at all. he’s said it and it’s out there now and he’s just happy that he has. he’s never meant anything as much as he meant that. all feelings he’d tried to bury over the last three months had surfaced the moment his E Y E S had landed on him in the park. his breath was coming and going every time he caught yejun’s eyes and he looks up at him and he tilts his head again. he’d never felt love from anyone,, and here he sits,, as happy as can be because someone such as yejun loves him. he feels like he’d known from the moment they’d met,, even if they’d been awkward in such a way,, he remembers the first time he’d lost his breath when yejun had walked into the classroom,, he was a bit younger not by much of course but he had known the moment he’d seen him and he sighs happily at the thought because the butterflies he feels are still happening now. the first glance and he knew,, and that had been it until three months ago but even then that didn’t matter now was important. he sighs happily A G A I N. “ i love you too. so much. “ he grins looking up at yejun and he just S T A R E S at him because he thinks he might still disappear and this is some dream he’s having and not real life. he shakes his head. “ i’m never going to either,, i told you. i’ll say it until i’m blue in the face that i promise. you’ll get sick of it. “ he grins. “ oh you’re so romantic. “ he teases but even through the teasing he was being genuine and he watches him softly. his doe eyes never once leaving yejun’s face. any insecurities or doubts he had,, maybe fifteen minutes prior were gone. his arms are wrapped around yejun as tight as possible and he clears his throat and lets out another laugh of his own. “ i did too … but i’m hungry. “ he says lightheartedly. he can feel yejun inhaling his scent and he sighs. his blurt out catches jaewon off guard and he looks at him again. “ it’s … really not something you need to thank me for,, i love you. i want this with you,, all of it. and the bad comes with the good. “ he nuzzles further into yejun’s neck still pressed against him and he sighs deeply in content. “ oh . . uh “ he breathes and he shifts back slightly and he grips his phone. “ i want . . you to listen to this. it’s a playlist,, i know you’re not one for a music. but i made this a few months ago,, i had every intention of letting you listen to it. but you know. so … here. “ he breathes and he presses play. he music begins playing and he puts his phone down and nuzzles back against his boyfriend again.
if anyone were to look into the tall male’s eyes , they were practically pasted with compliments . with each sparkle that was prominent underneath the light , wanted to throw his admirable words at jaewon . it was as if he could just sit there & observe the other . if he were honest , he would choose to do that over anything . he hummed at jaewon’s sincereness . ❝ thank you for for telling me , ❞ he mentioned . ❝ it truly is reassuring , jaewon . ❞ yejun trailed off , imagining just how far he’s come . going through the years of sleepless nights , sad droid stories , & the lack of emotions he experienced , really proved his life to begin at a low socializing standard . although , late night hours full of lit up computer screens & eerie atmospheres began normal , not once thinking of how disadvantaged he was . it wasn’t for the fact his had less luck , but because there wasn’t anyone around who caused a spike with his interests . electronics & anything of that sort were his focus ; until jaewon appeared out of nowhere . ❝ you have a fair point there though , my first ... ❞ he slowly nodded . yejun : a twenty - six - year - old who had been breathing day by day ; yet , this feeling could never be something the knowledgable man ever understood . of course , he knew the reason why his heart beats rapidly , & that reason is park jaewon . although , the one thing that doesn’t seize to amaze him is how he’d gone twenty - six achingly long year without knowing , or experiencing , something like this ; which does worry him a little bit . it wasn’t an unknown fact they said first loves don’t ever work , & the novice at love couldn’t swallow that down . instead of asking jaewon about his thoughts on that , he quickly diverted from that differing topic . he’d try to save that talk for another day . ❝ of course you’re the best for me , ❞ he retorted . it was like he had no time to waste when he said replied back . the seriousness in his eyes were deep , & reaching directly from his heart to pour out of his eyes . ❝ no reason to think otherwise , ❞ he then added . & as they remained in front of each other , yejun finally made his first move . by leaning forward this time , he tilted his head to direct his lips off course . that was when he felt his lips pressing against the underside of jaewon’s jawline , following with a hum . ❝ please don’t stop smiling , ❞ yejun prayed out loud . obviously the expression on jaewon’s face brought joy to the older male , & he the intense plead was impossible to keep to himself . with a smile of his own , he noted how flustered the other was getting . then again , yejun was sure that he was mirroring that same exact reaction . with the heat creeping up on his own cheeks , he took jaewon’s hands into his & cleared his throat . ❝ cool , ❞ he muttered , unable to construct a proper sentence at that exact moment . ❝ it’s better to talk about it now . no pressure or rush , of course . it’ll happen when it’ll happen . so , really , no rush at all . it’s not something i’m focused on ; just to let you know . that isn’t all i think about ; just to let you know that as well . i don’t really care about it . but - well , i do care , of course . i do care about it because i want it to be with you too . i really do love you , jaewon , & i’d like to share that kind of intimacy with you . ❞ the amount of stuttering he managed to have in one go shocked him ; which caused all the more nerves to get to his head . ❝ & - yeah ... it’s whenever you’re ready , okay ? don’t think there’s a certain time stamp that we , you know - alright ? i’d wait for as long as you want to . ❞
yejun chuckled as he noticed their current position . it was absolutely adorable , & that is the exact way yejun would describe it himself . in addition , the amount of pureness & innocence that fluttered in their atmosphere kept him relaxed . this had to be the first time in a while that all of his muscles weren’t tense , & his brain wasn’t being fried down to the last nerve . ❝ really - really , ❞ he assured through a light - hearted chuckle . in all honesty , yejun enjoyed the cheesiness . he didn’t find it necessary to say it out loud ; especially because of the grin that never left his lips . ❝ forever is a long time , ❞ he dragged out with a playfully warning tone . with jaewon still engulfing his body , the older male staying left & right to pair with his next wonder . ❝ how could you , an absolute angel , deal with such a handful that is me ? how ? ❞ furthermore , his arms unconsciously , gradually tightened for security as he spoke . ❝ messy or not , i probably won’t even notice it at all , jaewon , ❞ yejun told . ❝ i’ll be too busy with you anyway . ❞ he didn’t mean for his words to come off rather blunt , but it was the first thought he had in his mind . ❝ if we didn’t find each other , you’d be outside , on the verge of a pitch black sky , & all by yourself , ❞ the older one spoke with detail . ❝ maybe not this late the next time you wander , yeah ? ❞ he suggested , taking this time to gently pat the top of jaewon’s head . not only was he feeling queasy at the thought of his boyfriend being alone at night , but it wasn’t until a few minutes ago that he felt relieved he could be protective once again . it was a good feeling to know someone always had an eye out for jaewon . & in this case , yejun was that person . ❝ but i do with agree with you . this night has been amazing . ❞
❝ never , ❞ he denied , never letting his smile prior to falter . ❝ i would never . if you get to say it till you turn blue , i’ll be saying it until my tongue falls out of my mouth . ❞ this was a vow in his mind , but of course he couldn’t find the guts to admit that part out loud . it was that same , haunting part of him that caused his mind to run with too many possibilities . but with finding their little banter slightly amusing , yejun didn’t hesitate to continue on that road to rid of his lingering thoughts . ❝ oh no ... here goes my romance ego . it’s getting bigger as we speak ! ❞ he chuckled , shaking his head at his terrible acting skills . ❝ i estimate around ... ❞ yejun trailed off , legitimately imagining the entire pizza delivery process of the making & route . ❝ ten more minutes ? ❞ taking a peek at jaewon , he adjusted his position . by scooting in a little closer , he said , ❝ & i will be enjoying these lasting moments until then . ❞ yejun didn’t know why disturbances happened at the worst times when it came to them . unfortunately , that flaw will happily present its reputation properly . at least this time they both saw it coming . as jaewon went back to reassuring the lanky male , he trailed his arm to wrap right around the other’s waist . everything was perfect , & all of it fit into place . yejun let out a content sigh , letting his eyes flutter shut . the peace in the air could cradle dozens of babies , & he could swear he was one of them . but what he wasn’t expecting was the one thing jaewon brought up next . ❝ a playlist , ❞ yejun repeated . even if he is the type of person who preferred silence of noise , he was willing to lend an ear or two ; especially at a time like this . since jaewon took his own patience & time to create a playlist , yejun will be doing the latter . it was soothing , & he already found himself matching memories of them with the lyrics that played . he then began to trace circles , with his fingers , against the fabric of his boyfriend’s attire in sync with the beat . as his own pair of eyes trailed to the device , he peered back to jaewon’s side profile with love still present in his eyes . never did yejun think that songs could fit so perfectly with the image of someone he loves dearly .
