so I saw the new (leaked) trailer for bnd, and even though I find that moment when peter is stretching and saying he isn't in highschool anymore quiet hilarious, I can't help it but feel this fear of being unprotected

Cause in a sense once you finish highschool, you are out in the real world, wether you like it or not and it definitely doesn't feel as cool as you thought it be when you where inside the protective bubble your parents had created

And Peter has faced that world with no safety net behind him, with noone to navigate the early stages of adulthood

i get that there are people who don’t dive deeper into irondad and spiderson like some fans do, but to think that peter and tony didn’t build a familial bond genuinely feels like being blind. u hear a rando bulshitting abt how “people are crazy to think that tony cared about peter” while talking abt the man who saved the universe all because of peter and not for anyone else. that man’s life may seem complete to the other characters because he had his wife, his daughter, and best friends who were fortunately not blipped—but to him, it wasn’t complete without peter and he proceeded to override the laws of physics just for that boy “he didn’t care about”

and i won’t even jump to the fact that there is literally a whole movie of peter dealing with his grief over tony’s death, how heavily tony impacted his growth and his decisions. y’all still be acting so blind 9 years later

the universe would not have been saved if tony and peter only had a “professional,” superficial relationship. they were family, and they felt it so deeply that half of the universe was brought back to life

The Orla x James potential was so fking beautiful and so fking wasted

As someone that still desires romance but most romantic social norms seem useless to me, I desperately wanted to see Orla's actions actually being recognized as with romantic intent. Everybody else would think the way she would behave was weird and not at all romantic, but James would understand and be so fking smitten. Like because of her sensory issues they wouldn't be intimate in ways that most people are intimate but they would express closeness and affection that is so uniquely their own. I also always imagined that Orla would make James feel so free to be himself. Given his issues with his parents, James was constantly trying to find love and acceptance from other people even if that meant changing for them or having his boundaries violated but Orla would never have those same expectations. Those two would've just been so happy to live in a whole world of their own that wasn't defined by society's expectations
