It’s life saving. I’ve seen far too many people with skin cancer but some have it so bad that a whole chunk of their face/neck has to be removed to cure them/give them a fighting chance at staying alive…which then gets replaced with skin and/or muscle from their forearm or leg.

It’s brutal and bloody and I feel like I’m torturing them at certain points….and it’s also somewhat avoidable to a degree.

Made a pasta sauce so cheesy (and good) that I feel my arteries clogging in real time.

Which sucks because vascular surgery in this country is fucking whack. I'd rather get a heart attack tbh. Just don't let the cardiac surgery consultant lay his disgusting hands on me and I'm fine.

God being an anaesthetist fucking ruins everything, I wouldn't want to be operated on by ANY of those people!! I would, however, let many of my coworkers do my anaesthesia.

"I didn't feel my leg till 4pm yesterday, it was amazing!" Extremely courteous 80-something year olds who I can help from feeling pain are the sole reason why I do this job it seems.
