       i think there’s rly something to be said about the tension that comes with spreading yourself thin constantly seeking for so many different types of approval - academic validation , self validation , & somehow the validation of your rival. nothing is more satisfying than those little wins ! those times where you get the upper hand but nothing hurts more than them catching up to you & winning again , and again , and again … that constant game of cat and mouse mixed with the guilty feelings of admiration & jealousy you have for the other … i could do it all day idk ? like what does your muse crave more - themselves , their work , or their rival ?

Okay but I have a really cute LGTBQ+ college plot, hear me out.

Muse A is the definition of panicked gay, they’re just starting to realize that they’re not exactly as straight as they’ve been trying to pretend to be, and things are further more thrown into chaos when they meet their new college roommate Muse B who is a highkey confident gay. Muse A is constantly facing an identity crisis because Muse B keeps flirting their ass off and Muse A is falling HARD for them and is partly terrified because this is so new to them; and Muse B is just so endeared by Muse A’s antics during this whole process that what started off as playful teasing has turned into them falling equally as hard back.

pls hear me out, all i want is a summer plot of two childhood friends that used to spend every summer together at their families’ summer houses, but for some reason, they haven’t seen each other in a couple of years. this summer they reunite and maybe realize how in love them have been w each other and finally do smth about it?? except that,  plot twist !! one of them is in a serious relationship, and their significant other shows up as a surprise and cue the angst.

wanted plot: based off disney’s dcom stuck in the suburbs 

MUSE A is a singer/actor/model/something famous and is in town for a short while for a project.  they’re surrounded by fans, including MUSE B and their group of friends.  but MUSE B is trying to be casual about it, not wanting to come off as a major fan.  cut to the end of the day, MUSE A has given their phone off to their assistant because it’s been acting up, and said assistant bumps into MUSE B on the way to the trailer.  everything drops and in the midst of it all, their phones get swapped.  now MUSE B is freaking out that they’ve got MUSE A‘s phone, but MUSE A has no idea this swap has happened until later at night when they can’t unlock their phone.  of course, MUSE A‘s assistant is telling them it’s because of a glitch and MUSE B is trying to get the phone back to MUSE A but since MUSE A doesn’t know their phone is …. not their phone, MUSE B gets turned around at the door.  cue MUSE B making ridiculous changes to MUSE A‘s schedule in attempts to get them to realize they have the wrong phone, but also making changes so that MUSE A finally has time to relax and do things they haven’t done in years due to the spotlight ( ie: bring their pet to the hotel they’re staying at ).

concepts: ( muse b also had a crush on muse a ;; in a same-gender pairing, muse a was out and muse b wasn’t or vice versa ;; muse b never knew muse a had a crush ;; muse b knew muse a had a crush the whole time )

okay but give me threads of muses at music festivals in the summer. falling in love with each other as they let the music carry them and they feel weightless. arms around each other as they sing along to the lyrics and the aroma of everyone around them makes them appreciate life and they just want so much more with each other than what they have. GIMME.

        oKAY BUT, a plot for slightly older/older muses. muse a and b were high school sweethearts, completely in love with one another, everyone thought they would end up together. when muse b gets accepted to their dream college and muse a doesn’t, they end up parting ways (whether it be peacefully or a huge fallout), and don’t ever speak again. muse a goes on to attend a different school and starts living their dream, maybe even gets married, but uh-oh, their high school reunion is coming up (10 year, 20 year+) and they haven’t spoken in so long, and they didn’t think they missed the other this much until they saw them again. they’ve both grown so much, and yet, they make each other feel like school kids again. wait, why are they making out under the bleachers like they’re teens and what will happen when they snap out of this??

A plot where two muses grew up in a town where its two high schools had an unspoken rivalry: an upscale prep school and a public school. These two muses used to be close friends. They were both always at the top of their classes, bonding quickly over their shared ambition and cracking sarcastic jokes together. But when the time came to start high school, MUSE A’s wealthy family enrolled them in their town’s prep school, while MUSE B was enrolled in the public school. Although they tried to stay friends, MUSE B harbored a bit of resentment towards MUSE A because they could not afford all of the new opportunities being offered to MUSE A. MUSE A on the other hand didn’t understand why MUSE B had grown so distant, too focused on their own goals for their future to realize why their friend was suddenly giving them the cold shoulder. MUSE A started to think that MUSE B had changed since starting high school and didn’t know how to fix things, so they grew apart.

Flash forward nearly ten years and these two have both been accepted to graduate programs at the same ivy league college. After so much time away from each other, leading entirely separate lives after their friendship ended, they both suddenly find themselves thrust into the same new city, and although it’s been a long time since they last spoke, it’s nice to see a familiar face on campus.

"come on, somebody else can do it! i have a reservation at the vending machines,” duckie complained, the last word leaving her mouth as she caught sight of the front desk at the person standing at it. something about her presence, the way she held herself or maybe the shine of her smile, made duckie’s heart ache and pulled her right in. “actually, i’ll catch up with you in a sec,” she promised her friends before making her way to the front desk. “sorry about them,” she said, a little bashful through her smile, before nodding to the rest of the surfers as they clambering into the lobby. “i promise we’re not all that bad,” she joked, a glint in her eye. “some of us, maybe.”
