Cats at Gotokuji. Stopped by this afternoon, as the weather was nice and the area is perfect for quiet walks. The temple is supposedly the place of the original maneki neko, and people still donate the cats whenever their wishes come true.

One day later, and the ground is starting to turn pink…

But on the bright side, this means all the sakura trees will soon be turning green! Love all the bright colours that have started returning these past couple of weeks as spring fully arrived.

This morning was quit grey and rainy, but the neighbourhood sakura has reached full bloom. We’ve had strong winds since last night though, so the flowers will probably be even more short lived than usual. But right now the entire area is pretty and pink :)

Spring came to Shibuya and Hachiko today.

Beauty and the Beast will finally be released in Japan at the end of this month. The Disney store in Shibuya is already prepared.

Received a package with cute Norwegian fairytale chocolates. Each wrapper contains a fairytale related to the various illustrations ☆

Did our annual hanami today :) The sakura was supposed to be in full bloom this weekend, but looks like the cold weather we’ve had lately has delayed it a bit. Still had a lovely day though ♡

We started out in Naka-meguro, since they were doing a festival. It was insanely crowded though, so after eating we ended up walking home to our own neighbourhood, where most of the pictures above were taken. Lots of people eating bento under the trees, but a lot more relaxed and quiet than Meguro.

In a couple of days, all the trees along the stream should be blooming properly :)

Met up with a friend to see Moana today ♡ (the movie was finally released in Japan last week) Need to start updating tumblr again. Have a lot of pictures I want to share from the past couple of months! Moana was great too. We saw it in Japanese though, so I'd love to get the English soundtrack to hear the original lyrics :) The movie was beautiful. Definitely worth seeing in theatres.
