while i'm diaryposting: I feel kind of unique in my perspective on GLPs in that I don't think it's like, inherently bad or wrong to use them as a weight loss tool, provided you aren't using it to exacerbate an ED of course (wicked cast), I know the popular semiotics of fat bodies are bullshit but the decision to lose weight is too culturally ingrained (ESPECIALLY in women) for me to be a true hater of people who take the option. however, I don't think i'd ever personally take a GLP or suggest it to my friends BECAUSE: I don't believe it. I simply do not believe that this drug will continue to work. I really do think there will be a time where everyone who's been on GLPs for like...three years, four years...will hit a metabolic crash point we don't even know about and they will either have horrible life-ruining side effects, or it will stop "working", and their appetite will return, either way: they're gonna get fat again. I just do not believe the "get-skinny-quick-and-forever!" scheme.

I don't know how to articulate this well, but I really fucking hate the way a lot of thin writers write fat characters. Like how men write women "breasting boobily" there is something so dehumanizing about how fat characters are often written. "He waddled", "he lumbered", the writer of the book I'm reading always mentions this characters "fleshy hand" when he does something with his hand. Like, we already know that he's fat. There is no need to describe everything he does as "doing it fatly".

as someone currently jobsearching without a driver's license, i will say that having the ability to drive gives you so many more options if you're ever in that position (just a rando's two cents)

trying to decide if I should invest in driving lessons or Spanish lessons lol...so many of my students are ESL but at the same time driving is like, a necessary life skill that I embarrassingly lack lol, but then again fuck a car...cta lyferrrr......
