So I‘ve finished the Alabaster Arc, but I‘m still hung up on Crocodile. I am very predictable…

Have you ever read an ongoing multichapter fic where the first few chapters are absolute fire and then the current ones get progressively shorter? It‘s like I can feel the author struggling to keep going and trying to keep that fire alive that let them write the first chapters in a furious haze, but life has caught up to them and no matter how hard they try they are exhausted and no longer as inspired.

It is pain. I can‘t even offer help by being someone to bounce ideas off of, since all of the above is just my assumption and the vibe I get, and I can’t just go „hey so the last chapters were kind of worse do you need help“ there is no kind way to say that. So I suffer in silence and hope their muse finds them again.

If any writer who this is happening to reads this: I feel you, it has happened to me to. I hope your flame can reignite and if you need to I hope you find someone who can help you strike the match.

A quick sketch of a scene of Chapter 11 of See You in Eternity by @pugscatsbooks . It‘s Vicreature in modern day, where Victor survived by becoming a vampire and had a terrible time, while the creature (Adam) became a writer. It‘s so good, I highly recommend it to any Vicreature fans.

Okay so I went on a drive today and started listening to Frankenstein the book. And my first impression is that the guy writing the letters at the beginning has a very big crush on Victor, and young Victor has a crush on Henry. But I‘m really just getting to Henry.

Also both book and movie really amuse me with how Victor tells a story. Like, essentially he gets asked „who are you and why are you here in the Arktis and why are you so depressed“ and he goes „well you see I had parents“ 😂 bro this is not therapy you are allowed to get to the point. (Jk, I know this is good storytelling, but it still amuses me to no end) Really started at the beginning 😄

So far, fun times!
