Here is the corner of North 3rd and River St in Williamsburg.

And this is what you see on Google Street View if you press forward just a bit. The past and present are stitched together. Google has only surveyed New York since 2007, but already we can see where gentrification has stepped in. (BTW: here’s an essay I wrote about Street View and this particular part of town.)

Fairly different month compared to any other I've had so far. Spent going to Canberra twice, to learn Processing, properly starting the Masters course. This has meant working way too many shifts at work just to have enough money to go to Canberra. I finally got around to posting my thesis and got a large spike in my visitor stats. Would have loved to have had that prolonged for a bit more, but that's what happens hen twitter is the only way to get the word out. I've spent a large amount of time learning Processing: a new skill.
