I decided this really would be better suited for a separate post instead of tagged onto an art piece, that’s weird, but It’s also weird to post something and then be like “Welp!” But anyway.

The many lives of Enmen-Lu-Anna 

“I’ve never found myself privy with death, there are far too many mountains to move in one lifetime. A lot of changes have made their rounds with my boy Pallidi, one being that he is someone who has lived many lives and continues to live them. His currently live is named Polaris Eliopoulos, and he lives in New Bristol.

What caused Cagney to overgrow the first time? Was anyone around to see?

No one was really around to see tbh. Dice later heard about it after Cagney told him. But what caused him to overgrow as a tree attacking him during the night. Pretty clear cut and in Cagney’s opinion an uneventful night... which says something about the dangers of the forest at that time

This started out as designing Channing while waiting backstage for my scenes- because I don’t think he was given a concrete design, so I decided to give it a shot. Theeen it sort of devolved into just a series of sketches.

In my mind: Channing is a kind of twinky dude who hangs around Osmond a fuckton~ He also has a tendency to press his hands together to convey emotion- doesn’t matter what it is.

New Bristol? Can you die of a broken heart? Is it possible to die of sadness? Emotions can either increase or decrease the production of important hormones such as adrenaline. Adrenaline has the effect of narrowing the main arteries, putting a person in a situation where they may die of heart failure. I'm just curious to know about depression and other negative emotions can cause heart attacks and strokes that can lead to death.

Ahm… I’m not sure if you’re meaning in universe if it’s possible to die of such a thing or if you mean in real life but I’ll answer the former.

Yes: any of the species I make reference to here; that is able to pump blood through their body can face health problems due to stress and sadness. Which is basically all but the Flowers, but even then if a Flower gets stressed out to a point, their petals start to fall out.

I’m not sure how to answer this otherwise lol

I made what I should of made a little while ago.

As we go more into the story I am going to be referencing a lot of names of cities especially. So I put together three maps, one of the Tri-Islands, the entirety of the Inkwell Isles, and the thing that puts the islands on an influential map: the Trans-Ocean Railroad. A beautiful railroad that runs over the very ocean itself- with only the finest of safety measures in place it’s used for the daily commute of people all over the isles. 

The only downside is that the stations function like an airport, if the weather is bad or otherwise the trains won’t run over the water and it leaves people stuck at the station for a while. 

This is the railway that the Phantom Express will later run on as well, and the railroad that Dice will take to Cel City

Hello, I really like your art in particular the story of Hilda and her parents! can you draw a family photo of Hilda, Cosma and Orville?(and yes, I'm sorry for bad English)

Of course I can~ and thank you! I honestly love the Berg family <3. The story of Orville and Cosma is fairy tale-esc, but the story of the Berg/Hatter family history is very… sad. Given Maddock’s…. untreated mental illness that tore him apart and resulted in him becoming a horror story.

Honestly anon, if you said that to a younger him, he would think you’re patronizing him and result in insta-death. 

He wouldn’t care if it’s what you wanted, he’d think you’re mocking him.

Believe it or not he was  A LOT meaner as a teenager and young man, he’s actually mellowed out with age. He used to be super bitter and hateful towards the world (I mean he still is but he’s more territorial than anything.

Let me put in perspective: Aschimos means “Ugly” in greek.

As an 100+ year old adult his reaction would be more like this:

He’d then ask what you want from him. Why flatter him if you don’t want something~ that’s his thought process. Then he’d flick you.

Honestly though flattering him is a good way to confuse the poor beast*COUGH*

I finally got a new Intuos~ my old one was more than 5 years old and I was in desperate need of a new one. It was to the point where the death of my old one was drawing very near

So have a very quick and sloppy sketch I did to test out the tablet, of what Pallidi looked like as a young rose, back when he was called Aschimos~

Powers are rarer than that:

Genies have a lot of magical prowess, however, their powers only go into physical things, they can’t go into anything metaphysical such as the soul or time or anything of the sort. Genies are meant to create physical things like treasures and be able to shapeshift, they are taught how to do so in genie school. This means that Genies cannot bring people back from the dead, nor can they prevent tragedies that are out of anyone’s control with magic, leaving them only slightly less helpless in heavy situations, but there is an advantage to be able to create physical objects. Genies also have a limited energy supply so they can’t just keep creating over and over and over again without rest.

Hellspawn have a wide variety of powers so it’s hard to put them in a box, but they aren’t much more powerful than genies, however their powers tend to have a combative tone to them rather than the creation of riches. But there is a family line of Hellspawn nicknamed “Wish granters,” who do have the power to well...“grant wishes.” They were known for using their powers for business practices and making deals. The line has since died off, or so it seems.

Stars or “Star-Heads,” definitely have powers which mostly revolve around heat and fire. It is unknown whether or not they have any other magical prowess as Cosma is the first star to come down since Pallidi the Ghoul Flower’s youth nearly a thousand years ago. She has not demonstrated any other powers for that matter and neither has Hilda.

Flowers, have no powers for the most part, they have a lot of physical power and sometimes can even take out the most magical of beings through sheer force. There is one special thing they can do though, but it’s rare and prized. Some flowers can overgrow, it’s not so much a power as it is a talent though.

Humans, animals and object heads do not have powers… however…  There are exceptions to this rule: people who have found a way to obtain power of some sort. People like Ellie Kettle and Hendron Roll.

Meaning: yes, they also do have supers

Side note: No two people have the same super, even if they drink the same potion from the same enchanted cup. (This excludes twins who almost always have the same super.)

Here’s another ancient question that I actually found hiding in a folder on my desktop. I looked for the script for this one but couldn’t find it, if I did write one I’m not sure why, because this question is far better answered with a world building explanation.

Alright so, on the Inkwell Islands religion is a little different than on the mainland. On the mainland countries like Mhayy Dril and otherwise you have the major religions such as: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc- they all have churches and mosques and all that jazz. But the islands are a little different, I wouldn’t put this difference due to isolation, because the Islands are actually a major trading route for the mainlands and are allies with both Mhayy Dril and The Huskan Republic (which is the country on the island’s other side. Mhayy Dril is to the east, the Republic is to the west). Thus they are actually quite busy with new ideas and new people coming around to spread their beliefs. But the islands- especially the smaller ones- somehow retained a polytheistic religion not unlike the Romans, thus they have temples around more than they do churches. 

However- despite this- the Islands are also one of the most atheistic places at the same time, so while there is minimal Christianity and more polytheism, half of the population actually don’t believe in god at all. This includes Dice’s family. Hendron is actually actively opposed to personally worshiping a god, as he puts it: “If there is a god, they have a rather sick sense of humor then, because what kind of righteous and morally good god allows the continuous suffering of people? People used to tell me as a child it was all part of a plan- the plan for some people then is just to live a short and horror filled life. How could I possible bow my head in respect and honor to something like that?”

Other countries around them don’t really like this lack of religion and their polytheistic practices, as they find it abhorrent, but they can’t really do anything about it. As long as they have churches for those that do practice they’re considered to be at least passable. 

But monotheistic and just religious people who come from the mainland often do have quite the shock when they look around and see that 50% of the people around them believe nothing and another 48% worship more than one god. 

For instance, Lantianna’s mother: Blaise, is a pretty religious nut and was unaware of the islands’ religious practices until they got there and was absolutely appalled by it. She is convinced that the people on the islands are 100% doomed when the rapture comes to get them. She thinks they are all mislead and doesn’t like Lantianna hanging out with Dice and his atheist family for she fears her daughter might follow the same path. 

Also there are no churches on the tri-islands, there’s only like one temple in Saxlon (Third island’s city).

My goal right now is to answer all the questions that will lead to the dice boy heading to Cel City and cross the thresh hold to the first event- then I will delve back into the past and answer the questions about Hendron and Millie and their family. As well as questions pertaining to the first segment~

Leslie Chalice: June 1st, 1862- Sept.18th, 1886

Leslie Chalice/Kettle died giving birth to Polina. She was actually pregnant with twins, but because of complications with the delivery of the second child (which was a boy) both her and the child died. (Polina has no knowledge that she was supposed to have a twin brother)

I have not actually, and it's funny that you ask this now, I was actually going to post this on mother’s day because I’m evil; but on mother’s day I worked a 14 hr. shift and got home at like 2:30 AM and then died on my bed.

Do the Flowers have to eat, or can they just survive on sunlight?

Flowers, or at least floral beings, are high energy and therefore do require food as extra sustenance. Glucose produced by photosynthesis does not reach the amount of energy needed to survive off of solely. If in a pinch though they can survive for a little while off of photosynthesis as a last resort before they eventually starve and pass away.

I know this one is like ages late, but it got lost in my inbox and now that I’m cleaning it out and saving all the unanswered ones I can answer this relatively easily~ QUQ

Cagney’s reactions to them were pretty mild, they had a stronger reaction to him at first. Cagney is protective and over-the-top but if it’s Dice introducing them as a “friend,” then he’s chill about new people. 

How do I draw Lantianna? I feel like a bad parent to her because she’s pretty overshadowed by Polina, but while Polina has been around Dice’s whole life, Lantianna came about in 1902 after she moved from Mhayy Dril. She’s only had two years with the dice boy and Lantianna’s mother is… a bit of a nutjob which keeps her from being able to go on Dice adventures.
