This is coming to end, but at least I can spend some good time with the people that love me.

Flowers are pretty to look at. But as cliche as it is they die. They are prettier to me on the plant. they help progress and grow the plant. Once they are cut the person that cut them shows a little selfishness. They bring beauty in their home and for their life. But I prefer planting a bush to view the flower emerge and transform. So why? Why do i have flowers? Because something that I have been clear about must not been as clear as I thought. I will never want flowers given to me. Never live flowers. There is work to make look pretty in your home and there is work after they die. A plant is only about growth. And growth can be messy have some die back and then overgrowth that can be damaging but nonetheless it is grow not death. Flowers when given at the start of a relationship tells me they want to look good and they want to visually show their infatuation. Flowers given to me after 5 years tells me that they don't know me. After 5 years and multiple times of saying I would never want flowers they are pretty to look at but I don't want to watch beauty to die so overtly in front of me. Flowers are for others to see how they feel not for me to feel special. It makes me feel unheard and misunderstood.

After a breakup, the first thought is always to return to the person you were before you met them. Because you changed so much and you want to feel like yourself again. So you think that you can pretend all that happened while you knew them doesn't have to matter or affect you anymore. You think that the passage of time would not have changed you to that extent if they never happened. You think you were better before them. But there is also the reverse where you think you were better with them. You think that you will never be the same and you can never be what you believe to be your best self. You believe you are lost. No where to go or be found. So the question changes from who you were before they broke your heart to who are you?

Are you someone different?

What does it mean to be yourself?

Who are you without them?

Who are you without that piece of you that left with them? Who are you with that piece of them they left inside you?

When you realize that you changed and you won't be the same, you try to move forward, but that thought still lingers. Who were you before they broke your heart? You remember being happy before them, right? You cared about other people. There was a point in which they didn’t matter, and you want to believe there is gonna be a time when they won't matter anymore. You try to focus on the bad times to make them into a bad guy. It's harder to love an asshole than a hero, right?

Was he a hero or even a good person?

I don't want to think of the good times. It makes me miss you.

Is has been almost four months. Why are you still in my thoughts? You told me that you never wanted to interact with me. I have to remember that time passes.

Things are supposed to get better with time, or at least it isn't supposed to hurt you as much with time, right ? And maybe we can get to a version of ourselves where we acknowledge the time we spent with you, and there is almost no pain with the memories. The memories don't matter. How they shape you is the only thing that matters
