My mentee and I scheduled his final presentation for his certification program. It’s apparently a bigger deal than the “exit interview” we took it for. But he’s ready and excited. When the program lead left I made sure he was good and we made our to do list ms and then he looked at me and said “so after do this, we can take a half day and go get margaritas, right?” And I’ve never been so proud. Yes we can, sir. Yes we can.

Did I come home and work on the presentation I need to do?

No.

Did I have a beverage on the back stoop while I soaked up sun for 45 minutes and then take a buzzed shower and completely change my mood?

Yes.

Hot showers to melt my soul

Washing my hair every day even though unnecessary bc my shower cap has vanished even though I live alone and I cannot be bothered to find it.

Wearing jeans and a tshirt every day because everything else touches me the wrong way and I cannot deal with sensory issues while refraining from murder

Sending one rude email followed by one professional email to the same person and winning

Hardee’s for dinner

Hanging out with my mom and remembering we like hanging out and I should do that instead of sitting alone in my house

Stealing the whole tin of sesame-pistachio cookies from my mom’s house

Sleeping for nine hours

The pms rage happening right now? Unheard of levels. Someone in my neighborhood tell me wtf I do with this. Because it’s a lot even for me and I can’t live here.
