“Όποιο δρόμο διάλεξα μ´εγαλε μπροατά σου.” A Greek expression which literally translates to “which road I chose it brought me in front of you”. Rendered in English, it means “every path I chose led me to you”.

How can the idea of someone blowing hot and cold be expressed more precisely? I.e. The concept of showing affection and then taking a step back. At times people don’t approach their new relationships by gradually opening up and this is a helpful way of expressing that tendency:

“You tend to show emotion in quantal leaps whereas for most people it would be a slope”.

Who said scientific terms can’t be romantic?
