This is a blog for the Wildstar Roleplay Community involving the Dominion Circle, Gold Legion. Here you will find details relating to the group, like how to join and what to expect out of Gold Legion players. Transparency is a goal, however keep in mind, that story plots will likely be known to a select few for the sake of storytelling.
The Gold Legion is the Dominion military branch that covers protecting settlements. They are a police force, a national guard and infrastructure administrators. Members of this Legion are to keep the peace among the Dominion, even from outside sources.
Unlike the ICI, the Gold Legion does not play in the shadows, it follows Dominion law as well as upholds it. They also cover minor things such as petty theft to larger situations like murder and invasion when it comes to combat. In non-combative situations they help supply settlements, secure transport to new territory and repair damaged territory. As long as it involves Dominion soil, the Gold Legion is there.
Since the Gold Legion covers a wide variety of tasks, there are departments with a focus on separate aspects of the legion as a whole. However, all Gold Legion members can work with any department. Yet they do have one primary department they report to and rank in.
Department of Enforcement and Defense: This is the active law enforcement of the Legion to ensure the safety of Dominion citizens. They guard settlements from those that would threaten and detain citizens who are actively breaking the law.
Rank system follows military style; Private, Sargent, Lieutenant, Colonel, General
Department of Investigation: When it comes to the law it is this department that knows it by heart. Legion members investigate crimes to prove if a citizen has broken law and to prosecute criminals.
Rank system follows court and police style; Constable, Inspector, Superintendent, Interrogator, Counselor, Attorney General
Department of Infrastructure: While most of the Legion is concerned about violence this one makes sure there is establishment within any Dominion territory, securing transport and relief efforts, as well as assisting the Settlement Authority.
Rank system follows classic/feudal style; Builder, Master Builder, Chief Engineer, Nurse, Doctor, Principle, Administrator.
Order of the Magistrates: This is the governing body of the Gold Legion as a council. Though most Magistrates are seen working with Department of Investigations they oversee all aspects. And out of all departments Magistrates follow a very strict rule system since they have the ability to make a call in dire situations. It is known they are judge, jury, and executioner.
Rank system style; none, all are equal rank.
Since the Gold Legion is a policing force there are strict rules that must be followed so everyone knows what to expect. There’s two rule sets, one for OOC and another for IC. These rules can be changed or added to, but for now this definitely what to expect out of the Gold Legion.
Gold Legion can only be called in to help with IC and OOC requests. This way people can play their characters as intended and no one in Gold Legion is policing every two-seconds.
Also both parties have to agree on Gold Legion stepping in. No one needs to feel uncomfortable.
All arrests must have OOC permission from the accused’s player. We’re not here to force anyone out of roleplay.
For Gold Legion to be policing, they must be uniform. Only in very dire situations can they arrest (with agreement), such as attempted murder.
Bribery is instant reprimanding.
Citizen’s rights are to be respected and cannot arrest someone without probable cause.
Arrests are to be done as non-violent as possible.
All arrests must have reports.
