The maximum needed amount for sodium is about 2,300 mg per day. Equivalent to 1 tsp. of salt per day. People need only about 180 mg to function.
Most of the salt in your body that you intake can be lost through urine, sweat, and tears. An effective way of relieving it though is through exercise because sweat! However, if you don't heed this and rack up too much sodium daily, this causes hypertension. Please take care of your health!
