been thinking about god gale....... what if he wanted to be a god because he couldn't bear to see it all, shadowheart being toyed with by shar and selune and his lover suffering through bhaal, and all the horrors... and he needs divinity because his lover needs to be free of bhaal and he needs to be free of mystra. and what's wrong with having the ambition to be Someone. to be more than the Gods' plaything. to be whole and Free at last??

also been thinking about them being gods. and because ambition is ambition, their domain is so that each of them, lovers, tries to outbest the other and seize the domain. it's an eternal fight, but they fight fair, because they believe in each other and themselves and they have such a deep need to always fight for their right to exist on their own terms. this ambition they speak of, they put it in everything they do and touch. a fiery want to be so bright, to go further, to love harder, to see and touch things no one has yet imagined. they call it love because what is love if not the belief that you can go farther
