listening to one direction tonight, i was a little afraid it would make me sad. a week ago, it probably would have as i couldnt make myself do it until now. but tonight, more than anything, i just feel so grateful. as cliché as it might sound, music really is forever!!!! it’s a time capsule, holding onto these songs, these memories, these feelings. we will ALWAYS have one direction, ALWAYS have the music that shaped us and brought us so much joy. it’s comforting to know that no matter what, these songs will ALWAYS be here, like a piece of them and a piece of us, preserved forever. and fuck that makes me so happy.

I really thought grief was just a constant state of catatonia but I’m entirely wrong bc you feel like you’re normal and okay for maybe most of the day but then it creeps up on you again and chokes you all out of nowhere and then you rebound and feel okay again and then there it is creeping up on you again and it literally never ends it’s like motion sickness
