We went to Lyon for a few nights in mid-June to see Ukraine play Northern Ireland in the EuroCup. It was fun even though I don’t know much about non-US football beyond the basic rules (though I supposed that’s also true for US football). We also lucked out by buying the cheaper seats, because it rained pretty hard and we were far enough back that the half dome kept us dry. The rest of our stay was spent in the city - walking around the Old Town, visiting museums, and eating lots of food, some of which I’d rather not remember. There was a mystery sausage in a prix-fixe menu that I’d be happy to never see again.
