Oh! Hello *inhales* Welcome to Kats’ Engineering and Electronics, how may I *inhales* help you?
Happy Volustine’s Day!

Aurelia watched intently, admiring the grace and purpose of the volus’s movements as he worked on the omnitool. Whether it was because of being short and rotund, or restrictions their suits placed on their movements, volus were rarely accused of beauty by other races. Here, however, he clearly had skill and practice. She’d be the bumbling fool.
“Thirty credits? That is a very reasonable price.” That was much less than she expected to pay for an upgrade, “How long will it take to replace the chip in this one’s omnitool?”
If it was possible to see, the Volus would smile to the woman. "Mere moments, Miss. *inhales* You'll be able to use your omnitool within the next few minutes." With that, the Volus got to work once again. A few moments, some sparks, and plenty of the usual raspy inhales that came with his species, Tom was finished.
Looking up to her, he handed the woman the omnitool. "That should do it, though I would *inhales* recommend testing it so that it is working to your *inhales* specifications."

Aqilah was surprised when the volus answered her own language, though she did not recognize the dialect. Had to be from one of the outside worlds.
“Let me see,” she said, still looking around the room as she spoke, “it first began happening right before lunch yesterday, when I couldn’t understand a customer. I tinkered with the settings and tried to reboot the omni-tool, and I thought that had solved the problem until it stared bugging out again later again that day. At the end of my shift it had stopped working completely, and wouldn’t start working no matter what I did.” She looked at the volus again, watching him as he quickly worked the tool, with occasional flashes of light and digital sounds coming from the little machine. “The tool in itself is pretty old, though. Probably should’ve switched it out years ago.” Knowing she had to replace it soon, she cringed a bit. Yet another thing she needed to spend money on, which meant yet another day’s work away from leaving this place.
Tom nodded as the woman spoke of the omnitool's malfunctions. The Volus was very good at multitasking, so listening and working at the same time was no problem for him. "Hmm. *inhales* It is probably a function of a burnt translation chip. *inhales* It happens a lot in these older models."
He now turned his full attention to the Asari. "If you wish, I can replace the chip for you. *inhales* Unless you would prefer to purchase a new omnitool?"

“Absolutely,” Aurelia immediately began disengaging the omnitool and handed it to the volus. She could afford an entire upgrade, but hoped to use this one for as long as it was feasible. She also didn’t want to upgrade to find out that her software would cause the same glitches in a new omnitool. “It would greatly appreciate any effort to see if that is possible.”
With a nod, the Volus went to work. His fingers darted across the interface, turning it every once in a while. After a few minutes, Tom looked back up to the Asari. "Well, it seems like the problem *inhales* is a broken interface chip. We should have the *inhales* part in stock." His fingers tapped against the counter lightly as he thought, but then he set the omnitool on the table. "One moment."
Tom waddled off to the back room and soon, he came back with a small chip in his hand. "This should *inhales* fix your problem. And it will only cost *inhales* thirty credits."

“Thanks! I’ll see what I can see.” he said, already beginning to scan the merchandise.
"Very good! Please, if you need my *inhales* assistance, don't hesitate to ask." With a nod, Tom waddled back to the counter.

“It is not precisely certain. It has had this model for some time, but recently, it is having difficulties when interacting with some VIs. At least, this one assumes so as the errors seem to occur on days it is expecting notifications.” She shrugged, helpless. She was a better shot than engineer, and this sadly, said a great deal. “It is considering a general upgrade, but if the issue can be resolved without replacing the entire omnitool, it would prefer that.”
"Ah, well, *inhales* may I see your omnitool, Miss?" The lime volus shifted back and forth behind the counter to make himself more comfortable. "Maybe there is an easier and, in the end, cheaper *inhales* way to fix it for you."

“Greetings,” Aurelia looked at one of the walls of merchandise, “This one is looking to uprade its omnitool.”
"Excellent! In what way do you *inhales* wish to upgrade? Or are you just interested in a *inhales* general upgrade?" Tom nodded to the woman.

As she entered the little store, Aqilah suddenly understood why Natel had recommended this place. Many electronic shops were cramped, and had spare parts and secondhand items standing everywhere, especially the stores located down in the lower wards. This one was an entirely different story. Everything seemed tidy and clean, and there was more than enough room for more than two people at the same time without having to breath them in the neck. She liked it.
Her attention to the details were ripped away as an unfamiliar language filled the room, followed by occupationally deep inhales, and she turned her head to see the volus standing not far from her. When reading volus writings, she’d never guess they’d sound so… odd.
“I, umh” she stared, not knowing how to greet him properly. “Hello there. I’m just going to assume you work here, because I’m pretty sure my translator broke, and I don’t speak volus very well.” She gave him a sheepishly grin, and began de-attaching her omni-tool from her arm, preparing it for a hand-over. “I only get bits and pieces while it was turned on, and the rest just sounds like alien gibberish to me.”
At the mention of a broken translator, the lime colored Volus nodded. Soon, Tom replied to the woman in Thessian based Asari. "It is no problem, Miss. I am *inhales* fluent in Asari." As she handed over her omnitool, he gently looked it over. "Now, when did the problem happen? Was there any *inhales* accidents that might have caused damage?"
His skilled hands began to look over the omnitool, his light optics flashing every once in a while to indicate he was blinking.
