Q&A: What is Niche? What's Clangen? Niche: A genetics survival game is a strategy game about helping creatures survive in different environments by letting them evolve the most helpful features.
Clangen is a fan game based off the book series Warrior Cats, where you take care of your own Clan of cats and watch them interact with each other!
Clangen is free, while Niche: isn't. its like 20 bucks normally.
What's NicheGen? NicheGen is a hybrid of both Clangen and Niche. It takes themes of Clangen saves I've played, while letting the strategy part of Niche flourish. It can only go so well!
What are the creatures? Are the cats? Dogs? They're creatures! In-game, they have no explicit term, but the developers call them "Nichelings" sometimes. I personally have no preference and call them whatever comes to mind.
