Farah smiled and gave him a small nod. âItâs nice to meet you too,â she laughed slightly, half amused and half trying to calm her nerves as she took a deep breath and stepped to the door. âNow or never, I guess.â She pushed the door open and took a few steps before immediately stopping to turn and make sure he came in too, ready to jump behind him. Most people probably tried to look brave all the timeâŠFarah was definitely past the point of trying to pretend she wasnât afraid of most things. âYou knowâŠmaybe everything in here is even an illusion,â she said, mostly trying to convince herself it was safe. âMaybe none of this is even realâŠright?â
He couldnât help but smile at her words before she opened the door, wondering if maybe he shouldâve taken a breath himself. Nickâs cockiness usually helped him but when it was going through unknown, spooky doors he did think of pausing it for a second. That thought soon passes once heâs inside and looks around the seemingly haunted house they ended up in. âYou never know, I hope so.â He walks and a cold shudder runs down his spine. âPhew, I should have worn more layers.âÂ
@nicholasxturner liked for a random lyric starter, from a random muse! muse 6: jack riley. song: why'd you only call me when you're high by artic monkeys.
jack had thoughts about every species that wasn't human, but as far as he was aware, wolves and witches were as close to humans as they could get, and therefore should be allies. sure, it could be difficult but at least with the wolves they definitely had common enemies. he wasn't phased by spending time with wolves, though if he could avoid the alpha's and the territory he would. jack had seen nick around, mostly in the time where his sobriety was non-existent and he could only remember snippets, if he were honest with himself. "the mirror's image is telling me it's home time," jack started as he approached nick, a small smirk on his features, "but i'm not finished 'cause you're not by my side. it's been a hot second, pretty boy. how have you been?"
even in the bar, he was sober still. it was important to him to stay sober and though it was harder now that fox had seemingly left town, he had learned to lean on other people when he needed it but more importantly, to realise that he was in control of the situation and his own choices.

Nick hears him speak before turning to see a familiar face, a smile growing on his own. âOfft, best line of the night by far.â He teases and moves to rest against the bar. The night had gone by pretty slow and the wolf was feeling it, his joints a little stiff and it didnât help that other people had been on the same wave length, increasing his humdrum night. âIâve been good, how about you? You donât write, you donât call...âÂ

Even as he spoke, Nira kept her head down. She didnât care to look at him. To let him see how she was truly feeling. The Nephilim, unfortunately, wasnât very good at hiding her emotions. âThereâs nothing to talk out.â She insisted. âYou have more than one⊠valentine.â More than one person you may be interested in. âThatâs all I need to know.âÂ
A frown formed on her lips when he nudged her knee. She pressed her lips together into a thin line, her eyes flickering towards the box he had given her, then lifting to meet his gaze. âWhat is this?â She finally asked. What is it that you want from me?Â
Nick wondered if heâs upset her with what he said, unsure on what to do while she avoids looking at him and he decides to remain quiet, waiting to see if she would tell him what was on her mind. Understanding spreads across his features and he raises his head slightly as it lands and the wolf reaches out to take her hands in his with a reassuring smile. âSo youâre jealous, eh?â He teases with a squeeze before his tone turns more serious. âWhat is it you want this to be?â Nick asks her curiously. âIâm a pretty simple guy, the opposite of an overthinker if you like. You can ask or tell me anything, lay it on me!âÂ
daphne-grovesâ:
The first few notes soured the melody. The next proved little better, but the longer that Daphne concentrated, the more she remembered. The song echoed in some distant part of her memory, more experimentation than anything concrete. Finding the strings was a pure coincidence that Daph attributed to fate. Surely something as rare as a sealed pack of guitar strings was not to be squandered. Still she was rather glad the park was mostly empty this morning least someone observe her struggle.Â
Humming helped a bit with finding the right key. It took nearly an hour, but Daphne was more confident of each note. This was the song that her mother used to sing even if she still could not recall a single word. The crack of a dead stick caused her to raise her head, jumping up to look around. âWhoâs there?â She hadnât realized just how much time had passed.
@calamitousstartersâ
Nick didnât mean to sneak up on her, it didnât even cross his mind that appearing behind her would make her nervous but she seemed lost in her guitar and the wolf was drawn to the noise. He sips on his bottle of water while approaching when his foot breaks a stick, something he might not have noticed if it wasnât for her reaction. âShit, sorry. Didnât mean to interrupt.â He smiles.Â

location: a human friendly bar, take your pick đ
there was a tugging in her stomach, a tightness in her chest â- yet still she pulled open the door to a place that was never really familiar to her before. tonightâs view was different though. it wasnât the same, usual, drunk assholes that she was used to seeing too wasted at the bar. this one she was pretty sure she knew. a heavy breath parting brims as she reaches the empty stool beside them, fist knocking two quick pounds on the bar top to garner their attention. worked for both. â two waters and the usual, please. â she couldnât help it. there was something inside of her, despite how much she liked to deny it â- that couldnât help but want ti save people. it was annoying, really.Â
now her attention was on them, sliding both waters in front of them as their figure turned to face them. â you okay? â
Nick was on the other side of the bar for once, his hand wrapped around a nice cold pint before heâd even thanked the bartender for it. The sudden knock on the bar next to him made the large wolf jump before he laughs in slightly embarrassment. He glanced at the woman but didnât recognise her, surprise moving over his features when she pushes the water in front of him. âYeah, Iâm gonna be hydrated for sure.â He teases.Â
ophelia-taramathâ:
Her lips quirked, picturing all the possibilities that the night held with an equally exciting morning to follow. âA challenge that I hope you are up for.â Her other hand dropped from the table to move up his thigh. âOh baby, if you keep looking at me with those puppy dog eyes, I canât be cruel to you. I can only be very, very, very nice.â With each word her hand traveled further up his leg. Ophelia always was shameless, not caring that she was almost sitting on his lap by the time he pulled her chair just that tiny bit closer to his own. âI only have one more question.â She batted her lashes at him.Â
Nick couldnât remember how many other people were around them now, if someone asked heâd had no clue, the woman in front of him stealing all of his attention. âAlways, I never back down from that type of challenge.â He replies with a grin when he feels her hand on his thigh. The wolf glances down to see her fingers inch higher when her next words bring out a smirk from him. âIâll have to keep doing it then, to see how nice youâll be for me.â Nickâs hand under her chin turns and he brushes his thumb over it, the tip gliding just beneath her lips as his touch causes them to part slightly. âYou can ask me anything.âÂ
frccdxmâ:
Farah takes a deep breath to calm herself. âOk, yes, I can do this,â she nods, mostly to reassure herself. Without looking at what the doors are, she picks a number at random. âHow aboutâŠ.door 2?â she suggests, hoping she didnât just choose the worst of them. âOh, Iâm Farah by the way,â she smiled and introduced herself, figuring she should at least know the name of the person she plans to use as a human shield.
Nick beams when he notices her nerves somewhat dimming, giving her an encouraging nod of his head before turning to see the door she chooses. âDoor 2 it isâ He was about to waltz through it when she introduced herself and he stops. âNice to meet you, Farah. Iâm Nick.â He motions towards the door. âI didnât even realise I didnât give you my name.â He chuckles, wondering how they would have called out for each other if they got lost.Â

Are you worried about that?
Her eyebrows furrowed. Of course I am. She wanted to say to him. Nira knew how to flirt, she knew that flirting was harmless, and one could flirt with many. But buying intimate gifts for people? Nira had never done that. And she had assumed that one would only do that if they liked the other person. Really liked them.Â
She deflated at his answer, tearing her eyes away from his. Iâm not special. I never was. Her jaw clenched as she folded her arms across her chest. âLetâs hope the other person actually gets use out of it then.â She muttered as she pushed the box away from her. âThank you for the gifts.â Her voice was hard as she turned away from him. âYou really shouldnât have.âÂ
Nick wasnât completely oblivious and could see the change in her demeanour, her body language now the opposite of how it was before she opened the present. âNira...â He begins with a small frown as he moves to sit on the edge of the couch and turns to face her. âWhatâs going on?â The wolf is tempted to reach out with a comforting hand but she looked so tense that Nick didnât want to add to it. âWe canât talk stuff out if you clam up you know?â His voice a little lighter and he dares a nudge of her knee with his.
frccdxmâ:
Farah actually laughed when she saw the fake handcuffs, which was nice to do again. âWellâŠI guess itâs worth a shot if I know Iâm not going it alone,â she agreed, hoping her judgement skills had gotten better recently. âWhich one do you want to try? Might as well be your choice if Iâll be hiding behind you most of the time.â
Nick smiles when he sees her laugh, happy to see her relax at least a little from how worried sheâd been. âExactly and Iâm pretty tall and you can hide behind me easily!â He points out. âMaybe we can pick randomly, spin around and point? Or say the first number we think of?â He suggests.Â

âNo, no.â She shook her head back and forth. Nira did not want any more clothing like the one he had just given her. While she appreciated it, she couldnât imagine herself ever wearing something such as that. âI was just⊠I meanââ Nira cleared her throat and averted her eyes away from him. âAm I the only one you give these things to, or are there others?â Are you flirting with just me or do you flirt with many? She chewed on the inside of her cheek as she leaned down, snatched the thin bit of clothing from the ground and placed it back in the box.Â
Nick leans forward once more when he notices her fumbling over her words and turning her gaze away, scooting closer and placing a reassuring hand to her back. âWhatâs up?â He asks with a small smile while brushing small circles. âOhhh...â The wolf says as the realisation hits him, mentally laughing at himself for reading the situation completely differently. He brows press together while he speaks, his tone concerned. âAre you worried about that?â Nick dips his head until he catches her eyes with his. âI bought this one cause I thought ofyou, but I have bought a different set for another person yeah.â He answers honestly, with a small shrug and with nothing to hide.Â
oftragxdyâ:-
Her cheeks warmed with heat at his words. She didnât want to take any part of his clothing off without permission. She didnât want to do anything he didnât want to do. âOkay.â She whispered as she grabbed the edge of his shirt and tugged it off of him.Â
Nira let out a breath as she dropped the shirt to the ground. He was⊠he was beautiful. Definitely out of my league. She swallowed as her eyes, which had just been fixated on his chest and torso, lifted to find his. âThatâs⊠nice.â She didnât know what to say. Didnât know how to give compliments. Thatâs nice? She clenched her jaw at her own words. âI meanââ She took a step back. âI mean, you are well⊠toned. Very⊠attractive.â She cleared her throat and averted her gaze from his.Â
It was clear that she had absolutely no experience with men. Not really, anyway. She supposed her relationship with Jack hadnât truly counted. âIâm sorry. I⊠I think Iâm a little overwhelmed.â She admitted as her head lowered to the ground.Â
Nick moves with her so the shirt slides up and off his arms before the fabric falls to the ground next to them. He smiles down at her but doesnât do anything just yet, curious to see what sheâll do and when she begins to speak he reaches out to gently take her hands. âI knew you were sweet on me.â He teases her and slowly guides her palms to rest against his bare chest before loosely laying his fingers on her wrists. âTake your time.â The wolf assures her before giving her wrists a squeeze. âWe can stop or you can kick me out whenever you like, I wonât take it personally.âÂ
oftragxdyâ:
âHow did youââ Nira closed her mouth, stared down at the lingerie that was now on the ground. âI mean, you didnât have toââ She wasnât sure what to say. She was completely surprised by both gifts. Sheâd never received such things before. Especially not the lingerie. Nira had never even worn something like it before. âThank you.â Her cheeks were still flushed. She did appreciate that he had given her something, but she wasnât sure what the gifts meant for the two of them. âDo you⊠do you give these types of gifts to people often?â
She was flustered and Nick couldnât help but smile, finding her so endearing the way she reacted to his overt flirting. âOh, I did.â He lifts a hand to brush his thumb over those rose coloured cheeks as she thanks him. âIt was my pleasure.â He scooched a little closer to her as she speaks and leans back against the couch while draping an arm over the back of it behind her. âWhy do you ask?â Nick queries with a teasing smile. âDo you want me to buy you some more pieces?â He uses the opportunity to lean forward and he drops his arm to wrap it around her waist, bringing her to relax back with him.Â
deathbeckonsâ:
âthereâs a zipper on the back, then itâs just a matter of peeling yourself out of it. iâd say itâs not too bad but⊠i havenât actually tried.â it was the first time aiden had actually tried the costume on, and now that he thought about it he really hoped he could reach the zipper. hands moved away from his crotch, forgetting their purpose there, as he stretched and reached behind himself to see if he could reach. he could only just reach the zipper, grasping it between fingertips before it fell out of his grip; how in the hell had he got this done up? it seemed so easy to get on. âi.. shit, i think iâm stuck. but uh⊠i guess itâs fine for now, right? nothing to freak out over.â
âOh, really?â Nick doesnât hesitate to slowly move around the other man until he was at his back just as Aiden reached for the zipper. âDonât worry, Iâve got plenty of helping hands to go around.â He teases him and moves to brush the back of his knuckles down the curve of his spine next to the zipper. âItâs not a costume that leaves much to the imagination.â The wolf teases him and steps closer so his words are almost spoken next to Aidenâs ear. âMaybe I can do the peeling, see if the imagination matches the real thing?âÂ
deathbeckonsâ:
âNo one ever tell you that wolves should be seen and not heard? Quiet, doggy. Good boy.â Azagi snarled, not hesitating for a single second to walk through the door that Nicholas had opened. She wouldnât show any weakness, and she didnât need to. The demoness had plenty of weapons on her, should anyone dare to attack from either side of the door.
âI like it when you call me a âgood boyâ. I knew you liked me really.â Nick teases with a wink before watching her walk in the door and he closes it behind them. âNow I wonât blame you if you need to hold onto me when youâre scared, but Iâll happily look after you.âÂ
