A few hours. He blinked again, his eyes drifting towards the window. It was dark out still. Tenaya let out a sigh and lifted his hands to his face, rubbing his forehead. His head ached, probably due to the lack of nutrition in the last couple of days. He remembered chasing after some rabbits and squirrels, but that wasn’t enough to keep him sustained for a few days.
“It’s fine.” He muttered as he glanced down at the blanket. It wouldn’t be the first time he didn’t have clothes after a shift. “Yeah, I’m starving.” He admitted, a smirk forming on his lips. “I’ll show— pay you back for whatever I eat.” He shifted his weight slightly, gauging how his legs felt. He knew that if he tried to stand, he might fall from exhaustion. “Do you have any beer?”
Cecilia stood up and walked over to the kitchen area, the main room was open concept so she was still very visible as she opened the fridge and took out various things and turned on the stovetop. Thankfully she had made burger patties so they wouldn't take long to cook. "You're not going to pay me back," she insisted. "I wouldn't want this to go to waste anyways." She tried not to let herself get too wrapped up in how he smirked at her, she wasn't sure she'd ever see that again and she just loved the sight of it. Opening the fridge again, she pulled out a bottle of beer and walked over to where he sat to hand it to him, along with a glass of water. "I don't know how good your wolf is with staying hydrated so at least drink this too."
Moving back to the kitchen she put the burgers in a frying pan and cut up a couple of potatoes and stuck them in her air fryer, suddenly relieved she'd always held on to her kitchen appliances. She made sure to get in as many vegetables on the buns as she could, doubting the wolf side ever ate anything more than wild animals. Once she was done, she walked back to where he was and sat down next to him, handing him a large plate with two very full burgers and a pile of fries. "It was a...nice surprise to find you at my door."
