#februarytheband at @woodlandtheater last night! congrats once more on the new release; it was a delight and a dream to “co-produce” alongside @k__mines throughout. swipe for live clips and more deets! Happy Tuesday and throwback to when #newmusic would be released. I had the recent pleasure of #mixing 6/7 tunes on @endo_glen’s new “posthumous” album, entitled No Exit. Take their #funky, #literary #spacerock for a spin? It’ll put some pep in your step today 😎👍 endoglen.bandcamp.com/album/no-exit
office view for the weekend. @hazybaymusic #pilotcloud #inthestudio #drums #gobigthengohome
Today is the first of June, and also the first of a few shows I'll be playing this summer with @devilshuntmedown ...We descend on #yakima tonight at Brews And Cues! (Many sweaty dirty rocking photos to follow, I hope) (at Brews And Cues)
Capped a helluva work week / started my weekend by mixing Mdou Moctar last night at High Dive! #livesound #foh (at High Dive)
A doozy of a #tbt: it’s time to spill the beans that Justin + I are going to make another Pilot Cloud record, reuniting out here in the PNW. Our basic tracking begins at Hazy Bay Music in June so hold onto your butts...
So here’s another cool new work thing: I’ve spent the past few days hitched to a forklift shooting #productphotography with @snorkelhot. In a fun bit of trivia, these guys made *THE* #hottubtimemachine for the movie! #sodomojo (at Industrial District East, Seattle)
#regram #latergram from @zacschmidt + @gimletmedia: Chompers is now out as a #podcast AND on Amazon Alexa Skill! It’s a toothbrushing show #forkids with new episodes each morning and night, with songs, jokes, stories, and tons of wacky sound effects and silly voices. I helped mix a few episodes and learned a lot of new facts myself!
Hey howdy, friends. Earlier this year I mixed the debut full-length from Hannah Racecar. Now it's on Spotify and all those other digital places.
Go peep it and get your shoegaze on.

Hey, I’ve updated my website.
Check it out at nickbiscardi.com and tell me what you think?

#onlocation today for @turo with Amanda and her @teslamotors #modelx. Holy cow, what a sweet ride! (at Seward Park)
There is nothing heavier than an infant who refuses to be carried; I will not wait for some to catch up to the rest of history's progress. White silence = collusion, acceptance, and violence. Respect existence or expect resistance. #womxnsmarchseattle #resisttrump #staynasty (at Seattle Downtown)

thank you.
brb, crying forever
OPENLY WEEPING INTO MY MORNING COFFEE.
In Beyoncé-level “Partner, let me upgrade you” news, Lee Daniels has a fur-lined hammock in his NYC apartment.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes at this beauty, this reckless, ridiculous show of absurdist luxury. I live for it.
I was an extra in the pilot episode of “Empire”, in a scene filmed at Empty Bottle in Chicago on a frigid late March day.
Lee Daniels came to set that morning in a bathrobe and slippers; this hammock is entirely on-brand.
He also told all of the extras, just before we moved from holding to the actual scene set: “Y’all a bunch of sexy motherfuckers.”
Thanks, Mariah, for bringing "blame the sound guy" from band subculture into mainstream vernacular. I'm *so* excited to have more Tom's, Dick's, & Harry's approach me at the booth now. 😑👍
Oh hey, it’s 2017 now. And I haven’t used Tumblr in a while. So what the hell have I been doing?
The last 365 days was a full calendar year of being completely freelance and “on my own” in Seattle since arriving in Summer 2015. And for those who recall, I was laid off 2 weeks before last Christmas and set somewhat adrift to confront some personal demons; it was, is, and remains a battle but one I feel much better and prepared to fight.
Work-wise, being let go from the distillery was a blessing in itself (sound familiar?) because it allowed me the time & space--with severance--to pursue a reboot to my career in the PNW. And this is what I did:
Some Cats From Japan - Promotional Videos Losing David Bowie is what some might call the first domino in what became the “year written by George RR Martin” (RIP literally everybody & everything). And local tribute band Some Cats From Japan’s first show in 2016 was a funeral celebration to the great Space Oddity himself. Being behind the faders at The Skylark for this show, as well as the post-production audio mix, granted me the opportunity to collaborate with Rick Steckler & Co on these promotional videos filmed at that January show.
Ramona - “Sad Brunch” EP My band Wild English teamed up with sadcore/slop-pop punks Ramona last December for the first of what became quite a few shows together. These 3 are a lot of fun to work with, to talk to, to know PERIOD, and I was super glad to work with them on their “Sad Brunch” EP as mix/master engineer. Bomb Pop Records has since picked it up for release, and the gang is gigging their asses off in and around the Seattle area. SEE THEM IF YOU CAN.
Me The Giant - “Lights In My Eyes” One of the 3 songwriters in Wild English, my ol’ buddy ol’ pal Nelson Tift, spent big parts of 2016 finishing up the full-length for his solo project Me The Giant; I was brought in for mastering. If you liked how Headphones was a more electronic off-shoot of Bazan’s Pedro The Lion, or how Heavens was a stylistic departure for Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio, or how The Postal Service was yet another fun way to hear Ben Gibbard’s voice, then get way WAY into Nelson’s record before other folks beat you to it.
High Dive FOH This past April, I started subbing for Rob at Fremont’s High Dive. After a while a regular rotation spot opened up and I’ve since joined the team as a regular FOH, mixing on Wednesday & Friday nights with the occasional other date here & there. It’s been a great ride so far, and some of the folks passing through (Tim_Held, We Buy Gold) have turned my live recordings into actual releases!
ACX Audiobooks My book work with ACX/Audible has also continued, now in its fifth year. New collaboration with Brad & Sheena Van Orden on their books “Drive Nacho Drive” + “927 Days Of Summer”, as well as work with other voice talents Lynn Barrington, Joyce Porter, and Teri Schnaubelt, have all come through my editing set-up. When work keeps me too busy to read, I can at least listen to a lot of unique stories!
Wild English - “Day Job Vu” EP While Gibraltar’s LP is coming in March, this new EP from Wild English is the first of those few things in the chute for me, at least as a drummer. We hustled through the end of 2016 to get this thing out, and will be spending time in 2017 gigging around the region and writing a full-length to follow it up. Nelson, Corey, & Elliot have become some of my best friends in Seattle, and this past year has been a helluva journey to make with them.
So what’s in-store now for 2017? Well.......
