Whatever was going on in the cat’s head - the ghost wasn’t privy to any of it, seeing as the cat had not spoken a word to him. That was fine. After all, Edwin didn’t come to the alley to chat - he came here to… Why, exactly? He wasn’t sure. But a small smile would appear on the ghost’s pale face whenever the cat decided to indulge in whatever treat Edwin had brought him. And that was nice. Edwin wouldn’t call it an accomplishment, but… Well, he found some satisfaction in what he was doing. Besides, feeding a stray cat was as good as any other reason to get out of the Agency. **** When a certain ghost starts feeding stray cats in London, the cats start gossiping - and cat gossip spreads faster than you would think. The rumours are bound to travel, and eventually, they travel across the ocean - and reach the Cat King of Port Townsend.
