Need a game that's actually built around tanking as the main combat style. Not a game where you can, strictly speaking, build a character as a tank.

A game where the systems are built from the ground up assuming that you, the player, will be putting yourself in front of world-ending threats, standing up straight, and blocking the enemy.

Not dodge-rolling, not skipping around going "tee hee hee i'm a lil guy you can't hit", blocking.

And not as a disappointing alternative to a damage build!

Need the CLANG of the enemy's attacks against armor, need clear sound and UI design that communicates "here's how much damage you DIDN'T take, you absolute badass", need a little gaggle of frail party members trembling in fear behind me as the extreme aura farming of walking up to a dragon and putting my entire shield in its mouth inspires them to fight on.

I do hate when people say that dean was so in the closet that even he didn't know he was gay. Like, it's so much more intriguing and interesting and HEARTBREAKING, even just on a narrative level, if, the whole time, he KNOWS. He knows and he knows and he knows and that knowledge is CRUSHING him. He is drowning but he can't let go of the rock holding him underneath the water because he is so, So fucking scared. He knows, he HAS known, his ENTIRE fucking life, that he is supposed to be one thing and one thing only: The Son Of John Winchester. And The Son Of John Winchester is a good little soldier who falls in fucking line. The Son Of John Winchester does as he is told. The Son Of John Winchester comes when he is called, and he loves beer, and cars, and guns, and women- and most of fucking all, The Son Of John Winchester is not. Fucking. Gay. But god, oh fuck: He is. And that's killing him all over again.

And Dean wants his parents’ approval so desperately that it continues to control his decision making long after they’re dead//resurrected and gone. He knows. And it’s killing him because he sees who his dad is and thinks “all that work I’ve put in will be undone if he finds out. I can’t be this way. I can’t like men. It has to be women.” And he convinced himself of that. So much so that he makes it almost integral to his character and we don’t see that develop out of his own view of himself until John is gone and Cas is in the picture for a while. (That is not to say that he is no longer attracted to women!! It’s to say that he doesn’t sleep with as many//very many after Cas has been around for a while, either because they were balls deep or because of that mutual pining they had going, but still.) It took years after John was gone for Dean to even give up the womanizer phase/mask. But I think that even in his fear and in his drowning, he found solace in Cas and in Benny, and I think that’s beautiful.

YES! I personally headcanon Dean as bisexual as he has shown to have genuine attraction and connection with women. HOWEVER, he has also shown attracted to men just not as openly due to his internalized homophobia (and the writers not willing to explore this amazing storyline). Making Dean canonically bisexual not only would be such great representation since he is a very cliche sort of macho man but also because it would show Dean’s growth and independence away from John and the man he wanted him to be.

I agree entirely!! I hc him as bi for the same reason!! I think to ignore his genuine connections with women would be undermining an important part of his character and (made canon) it would be a great representation of bisexuality and it would offer so many great storylines and opportunities for character growth.
