Evangelion-01 Dx2 Type was made by Jabo(Astaroth) and Kaworu Nagisa is sounds like, with Jabo shoving the power of CHAOS! Into it. So now it has Chaos powers, tentacles, and a sword that grows out of 01 tentacle arm.

Hey so FFXIV had some mythos designs for some greek gods as fights and last expansions final raid tier boss had a really accurate Artemis inspired by Artemis of Ephesus weirdly enough. This final raid tier boss is Athena that's heavily butterfly based and kinda reminded me of the Pandora from Persona 1 and its only tangentally related to Hephaestus and Athena from the raid story. Is there something to the butterfly design for Pandora and/or Athena? I always thought the butterfly design was more to represent Maki than Pandora?

I can't say for certain- for Pandora, I always assumed her P1 design was based in the broader butterfly motif from Philemon, or otherwise just a basic sign of metamorphosis from her first form to the next; I'm not aware of any butterfly association in Greek mythology proper.

As for Athena, there is at least some precedent in that there are depictions (as in this Bertel Thorvaldsen relief) of her holding a butterfly over the head of the first clay-man to visualize the life-giving act, but that seems like a long way to go for this FFXIV design.
