Eh, tahun ini sekali lagi beraya di perantauan. Ramai yang bertanya, okey ke sorang-sorang ni. Alhamdulillah, teknologi dah maju. Boleh buat panggilan video, bergelak ketawa bersama keluarga tercinta. Walaupun tidak hadir di hadapan mata kasar, tapi cukup rasa indahnya rezeki Allah. Terima kasih kepada semua yang bertanya khabar dan atas ucapan Raya. Ada juga yang kirimkan juadah Raya. Hari yang mulia ini, masa terisi dengan menulis kad raya. Dapat juga mengenang memori setiap kali menulis nama. Inilah keindahan tradisi kad ucapan. Tersenyum sendiri pengubat hati. Since @poskankad was founded in 2014, our postcards are famous among the postcrossers as we introduced the Malaysian themed postcards for our first collection. From there, we have also launched our Greetings Postcards. And one of them is the Raya postcard collection which was introduced in 2016, together with our featured designs from @faridofisiel and later with @wanmars. At that time, we’re probably one of the first and luckily, we’ve been spotted by some fans who were looking for the traditional Kad Raya cards which were hardly to find back then. Each year, we cater to them by introducing new design while there were not so many Kad Raya’s in the market as the tradition of sending Kad Raya was fading. Well, every cloud has a silver lining. Since the pandemic hit us in 2020, we could see the trend is coming back as people are looking back at the old ways to connect with friends and family during the MCO period. We’re becoming closer to one another despite of the distancing practice. And pouring our emotion through physical item is much appreciated at this current state. Later in this year, we could also see there are so many other products of the kind and we’re thrilled and excited. So many cool designs and choices are available now for Kad Raya and there are even Raya Postcards just like us. Beside the blank postcards, we also provide the mailing service. And that’s the catch from our name, #poskankad. Your message can be printed on the postcard and we’ll deliver it on your behalf to anywhere around the world. And today, we are more than happy to see that #poskankad postcards have reached the #1, #3, #6 & #16 spots for Postcard of the Top Products on @shopee_my this month. Alhamdulillah, after so many years, we could now witness the wonderful growth in this beautiful product. #throwbackthursday On 12 July 2020, I had a wonderful experience, climbing up Gunung Pulai, Baling in Kedah. It was two of us to begin with. By waking up at 4am, to prepare Nasi Lemak as our meal, we’re later joined by another two from Penang by 5am. Adding up a 1-hour journey from Kulim, we arrived Baling by 6am. The idea was to catch the sunrise. We parked the car and started to hike. It was still dark early in the morning. So, we had our headlights on and started to find the path way up to the peak. Long story short, this has been my first hiking experience ever since my last trip which was probably more than 15 years ago. To be on track, I’ve prepared myself for a week by doing some evening jogs to increase my stamina. Well, I were not really sure if those helped but glad that I did that as this trip was really challenging. Probably, not even half the way, I started to feel giving up. It’s all rocks and climbing all the way. My legs suddenly felt weak. Guess, age is not just a number. But luckily, I was with my friends. One good friend did encourage me to take it slow. It’s not all about who’ll be finishing up first but just doing it steadily. So, to take time, we split; two of us went up on slow pace, so we could just enjoy the greenery. The trip became very interesting as we noticed of some funny trees, insects and also dragonflies flying above us! Finally, yes! We took about 3 hours to reach the summit of Gunung Pulai with 620m height. We stayed up there for about more than an hour. Oh, and we had our Nasi Lemak too! Well, again. It was one of my great memories this year. This would happen to any of us. To experience the moment when you’re feeling not-so-great and about to take a break. And with a good support, you’re able to continue your journey. And you eventually get of what you’re reaching for. Congratulations to those who succeed because of sheer grit and determination!
