@nidhi-kapoor
shreyamehrarp:
It’s not his fault Di, he didn’t.. doesn’t know.
And he didn’t even try to find out, na?
aaliyahahmad:
No, kinda. I haven’t been able to form an opinion about all of this right now. Give me a week and I’m sure I’ll be cursing someone under my breath.
A week is far too long, Miss. Ahmad. I can pretty much guarantee that you’ll be wanting to throttle at least one person by the time the day is over.
aaliyahahmad:
way too be excited, nids
How can I be? Tell me. After what went down during the making of the last one, one can only hope certain people have matured since then. If not... you can count on me to gladly be the first to throw the ‘I told you so’ speech at KJo.
Wait a second... you’re actually seriously in to all this?
thedrao:
Last I checked, I didn’t play fair. I can’t imagine what misconception you’ve been living under.
Madam, you’re a part of KJo’s favourites; just talk to him. Or make him sign a higher budget by holding something on ransom. You know he caves extremely quick like that. I’m sure you’ll find a way. Aren’t you meant to be your sister’s Blair Wal-something or other? If she can do it, there’s no doubt you can coerce them into whatever you want.
Well excuse you. I can play just as unfair when I want.
True, Sameera said something along the same lines. Well, minus the whole ransom idea. Although that idea is a lot more entertaining than simply talking to him, even if the talking would work in an instant. I even have the perfect thing to use for it! —Oh and Dev. It’s Waldorf, Blair Waldorf. You should know at least that much by now... even though Gossip Girl is very much a Sam and I thing.
shreyamehrarp:
A few weeks ago I bumped into him at Armaan’s office. And shit yaar. I forgot how much.. I.. Anyway.. He obviously isn’t too fond of me now. Not since I completely disappeared out of his life after everything that happened. I don’t know if he knows, Nidhi. About what happened. About what she told everyone and what she did to my life when she was driven with that.. I don’t even know what it was. Jealousy? Resentment.. Spite. Whatever it was cost me my whole being back then. How the hell was I supposed to visit him after his so called wife did that to me? It was.. fucked up is the only way I can describe it. We conversated for a whole thirty seconds and I kind of told him off for being so cold and not letting me explain, which of course I don’t deserve but I.. Shit Nidhi.. We played in sandboxes together yaar. I guess I couldn’t see the change until it smacked me hard in the face. But alas. I’m fine. I’m still here, right? And he’s free and doing well. The past’s in the past.
Wow—What an asshole. Common decency, civility is a thing, you know. If he can’t do as much, we might have a man-child on our hands. And you know how I feel about those. Moving swiftly onwards however... Of-course you have every right to explain yourself, but you don’t owe anybody an explanation either. If Mr. Mehta wants to believe the web of lies his saint of an ex-wife spun, then so be it. There’s nothing you can do about that. He’ll find out some day and realise his mistake. Still, until he can grow a pair and grovel for your forgiveness, I suggest you needn’t bother with the jackass.
sameerasingh:
Or maybe I could remember to just wear casual clothes. And go back to ballet flats… do I even own casual clothes anymore that aren’t designer in some way?
I think the “big budget” also includes salaries meri jaan. And you know how KJo operates - although this time I heard his production team was larger. Perhaps just take it up with them, I mean they should be aware that Nidhi Kapoor only works with the best of everything - no pun intended. No remake, but it’s nothing ground-breaking either, which should be safe enough for KJo right now.
My day was nothing spectacular, although Samar came onto set looking for me. It was so precious Blair, and I completely forgot he was meeting me for lunch. Have you met him yet? Apparently he’s met all my friends so… but he’s such a munchkin seriously. Although you better not tell him I said that, he gets annoyed with my mother hen tendencies sometimes.
You definitely don’t. At least that’s what I remember from the last time we went through your closets... And I have a pretty good memory so there’s that.
Exactly, people will go watch it and that’s that. —And you know what, you’re right, taking it up with the production team is probably something I should do. Well, will do. They need to understand that the sets are characters in their own right, even if they can’t necessarily express their feelings or emotions. —I mean... It’s an injustice to my children, S!
Met Samar? No no, that I haven’t. And I shall keep my mouth zipped about him being a munchkin. You mother-henning him will be rather amusing to witness, I won’t lie so I look forward to that. —Wait do you want to give him the set rules or do I have to go all ‘touch anything and I totally will strangle you?’ ... I’m kidding. Mostly.
I’m feeling a vacay already and we’ve barely started. Why?
shreyamehrarp:
I actually agree with you on that one. Whole Heartedly.
There was a bit of an incident. With Adi..
An incident, matlab— what happened?
thedrao:
It’s the first day. Or well fourth for you & me. How can you have already gone over your budget madam? …wait, I forgot who I was asking.
Hey, that’s not fair!
You should know by now how much effort goes into creating masterpieces, so the budget should always match. This is why I love SLB. Most of the time.
sameerasingh:
Blair! Of course you would love seeing me all dressed up. There’s just no mobility unfortunately - these heels weren’t made for walking. Thank God today was only a short day ahem.
And by the way, where have you been? I was expecting a blow-by-blow recount of everything that went wrong today.
Ah. Maybe pack a spare pair of flats next time? There’s always ways...
—Oh, God, don’t even get me started. What part of big budget... Is the hard part to understand? Common sense, ya, KJo. Challo at least we’re not working on a reboot of another terrible ‘Hindi Cinema Classic.’ Yawn. Anyway, how was your day back, madam?
arjun-rp:
Acha? Is that why you always appear when I least expect it?
That would be telling. But don’t consider yourself too special, Arjun, I tend to do that with most people.
nikithapar:
“Isn’t your budget is always low, babe?”
“And anyway, I have a super quick solution to that. Make them fire me, and you can have my salary. And like ten thousand per day or something from me personally. I would rather sit for my bar exam tomorrow than be here right now. And you know how unprepared I am for it.”
Point. But what am I supposed to do? These so called big budget film-makers need to understand that in order to have state of the art sets, you need to loosen your purse strings before I can even think of pestering for a budget increase. Kanjoos kahin ke...
—Hold on a second, Miss. Thapar. Why have we not made an effort to fix being unprepared for the exam? It’s this movie, na, messing with your head already?
These numbers are so not working out... They really need to up my budget.
arjun-rp:
The amount of aunty’s wanting me to meet their daughters and marry them seem to be growing by the second. Seriously, how do they even find me?
It’s not that tough you know, to find you.
aaliyahahmad:
…. so, round 2?
Tell me about it.
sameerasingh:
…I’m a bit overdressed aren’t I?
No, no. —Oh, I could get used to seeing this every day.
shreyamehrarp:
That’s true. I am excited to get back in touch with everything and everyone.. Well almost everyone.
I didn’t! I spotted an old lady rocking them downtown and honestly can’t even think of them the same way again.
Oh trust me, there’s a fair few faces I could certainly do without seeing. Alas, what can you do? Just stick with your mains.
That’s gross. —But I’m sure we can find another pair, and maybe start making the rest of the same design... mysteriously unavailable.
