Draco trudged through the Being Resources office in the basement of St. Mungo’s, clutching a folder of printed PowerPoint slides to his chest. He was headed to a board meeting to present his autumn update on the Relationship Instruction Program, a professional development course he’d proposed to help hospital staff navigate the challenges of mixing the personal and professional. If Draco recruited a test participant this fall, he would be eligible for grant funding to expand into the pilot phase after Christmas.

Unfortunately, he was short on participants. As in, absolutely no one had enrolled.

He’d gotten the idea for the Program over the summer when the new crop of healer-trainees arrived and Draco increasingly found himself on the business end of Form C0-UPL: the inter-office sex document.

So much had changed since then, and yet here they were, in the same castle where the same witch had rendered him speechless for not just the second time.

Not that it mattered. They were co-workers. Friends. And that was the full extent of where their relationship could go.
