Also in this AU Falst and Jolon live in an ancient bunker and Falst’s ability to open the doors is like the ‘Rapunzel let down your hair’ thing.

Falst: My first reaction was "wow." To write 300,000 words of my backstory that could essentially be skipped over while still having the full experience of Aurora… it's amazing. My second reaction to this was "what the fuck?" Hey, Red? What the fuck?!

Tess: I couldn't give a shit about death.

Dainix: But when all seemed lost, I had an epiphany. I am going to throw myself into the sea.

i have this small headcannon that erin was an angry child

erin is someone who has a deep curiousity of the world, and while books satiates some of it, there's still this deep frustration that he is unable to experience it for himself, outside of his room, his bed, his prison

add the chronic illness, tess, unknown daddy issues and his family's status that definitely comes with suffocating expectations, and i would definitely buy that before erin has built his mask of confidence and ego, he would have all this pent up frustration with nowhere to go
