god the assassinduo divorce this time around is much worse. i dont think a simple conversation will help this time!!!! esp since ewroon doesnt want to talk to ash!!!! which is totally fair on his end bc ash DID share that the heart he gave to DC was fake so. kinda condemned him to death even more then he already was.

don was ultimately the source of this bc he decided it was a bright idea to want to kill ewroon and brought it up with ash, the guy who got out of horrific torture and almost being fully brainwashed abt it. the guy who saw him, katie, and ewroon working together to save him. like ash was NOTT in the proper headspace for that.... like his broken leg JUST healed and thats only bc of ash's insane healing factor

i wouldn't be shocked if some of the shit the federation did to ash WORKED. and that affected his decision-making. like even if the process wasn't completed, he WAS on the verge of succumbing to it. that definitely has some ramifications.

genuinely am not ready for ewroons death and ash's reaction to it. like if my train of though abt the brainwashing actually working at least somewhat is true and reflects in how ash reacts bc if he IS... i dont think anyone will truly care enough to help him with it. either way he is gonna spiral. both probably towards self-destruction but in very different ways... haha..... always bet on assassinduo, amirite?

finally getting around to answering asks, most of which being from the ashwron divorce and since i got so many i’ll probably just answer them all in one, aka this ask.

but anyway, i think don and katie do have a right to distrust ewron especially considering all he’s done to katie, however ash mentioned something about don being overprotective of katie to the point it feels coddling, and i heavily agree with that. at times it views as don not seeing katie as capable enough to handle her own problems. that isn’t to say ash doesn’t coddle her too. he does, and the coddling of katie for don and ash is like, on opposite sides of the spectrum. ashs form of belittlement is excluding katie from most of the regimes activities and also not taking her seriously because he loves her too much to ever really put her harms way, even if she’d want it. there’s also ewron’s talk about him being weak and that affecting his dynamic with katie, but we all know that conversation holds no weight because ashwron have absolutely fallen in love with the island and it’s residents. the “kill everyone” plan is not happening lol. overall it’s ashs fencesitting that killed their relationship, but everyone knows that. his fencesitting stems from a desperation to keep any resemblance of a family that he has together, no matter how they feel about it, but that doesn’t change the effect.

one of the reasons i love siblingtrio so much is that they’re not good for eachother. they truly do give off the vibe of “i don’t really like you sometimes but you’re family” they were doomed from the start especially considering katie’s relationship w nuclearfamily and how she’ll always put them above ash and don (why wouldn’t she?) and both brothers acknowledge this fact. yet don and ash are so desperate to make it work and don’t even realize they’re just pushing katie even further apart from them. even so you can still see where every character in siblingtrio is coming from with their conceptions and i adoreee the nuance in that. it’s so much more fun when things aren’t a clear black and white.

however it’s a little unfair to face ash with this dilemma when he just got freed from two weeks of torture. my stance on the topic of how ash treated ewron is: not only has ash always been mentally unstable, even more so after his kidnapping, but he’s an alcoholic drug addict who self harms via cutting himself, starving himself, and punching walls. he is actively suicidal. he was not in the correct mental state to make such a huge decision. and also, he’s taken ewron’s statement of having him pretend to have little to no relations with ewron, which he said during their conversation during the movie night, though many people misinterpreted this lol. he just wants his family to get along. he saw them do it when they were rescuing him, so why not now?

on the note of rescuing him though; that shit was too easy. it was definitely planned. the feds absolutely did something to him and probably wanted katie don and ewron to break in especially considering the mysterious message katie got. all i’m saying is i expect a switch to be flipped during purgatory lol

with ewron’s death and ash’s reaction, that man is going to be devastated. the diamond knife™ will be making an appearance just you watch. ewron was such a huge pillar of ashs mental stability and managed to calm him down and talk him out of suicide. him learning that niewron not only hates him but isn’t even *his* ewron? yeah there’s no hope haha

but yes!! always bet on assassinduo! they never die and if they did i’d still be here

I am growing increasingly tired of the way certain sections of the MCYT fandom treats QPRs and non-romantic relationships as if they're inherently within Creator Boundaries. This is both ignorant of what QPRs are, and willfully avoids considering boundaries as anything beyond a useful checklist to bludgeon other fans with.

QPRs can look like friendships, friends with benefits, kink relationships, life partners, and a million other things. They can appear identical to romantic relationships from the outside. They can include sex. It's frustrating seeing QPRs morphed into Schrodinger's Platonic Relationship in fandom, where people write what is functionally just traditional romantic ship fic but still get to yell at other people for Breaking Creator Boundaries.

It feels like the assumption is "Romance might upset creators, but as long as it's platonic it's fine." As if a QPR fic where characters spend the whole time cuddling, or even a fic where they're assigned as family and are written to have a non-existent sibling relationship, wouldn't also be deeply weird & off-putting to creators. (I know many people don't approach creating fan content with creators in mind, but for those who evidently do it seems deeply odd to pretend that romance is taboo but cuddling/whump/etc are inherently unobjectionable.)

A fic where someone gets Overcome By Instincts and kidnaps another character to (platonically!!1!1!) force them to cuddle is way weirder than just having them kiss. Which is fine! It's fine to be weird! The problem is assuming that an Omegaverse fic w/ the serial numbers filed off is inherently More Pure and palatable to creators just because it uses an & instead of a /, and in incorrectly redefining an entire complex relationship category to 'sexless off-brand romance that won't get me cancelled on Twitter'.

People squeeze their legs against the chair so you don’t have to hop over them on your way to your seat in the theatre, and make funny faces to make babies laugh, and purposefully step on leaves to hear them scrunch, and hold the door open for someone leaving behind them, and ask what floor you’re heading to when you enter the elevator, and send others photos of things that reminded them of them, and recommend each other songs, and ask if anyone else wants a coffee because they’re getting one, and make videos teaching how to sew a button, and wish on shooting stars, and share fun facts, and listen to others rant about things they don’t even understand, and let you cross the street first, and give a bit of their food to others, and laugh at jokes they don’t find funny to make you feel good, and listen to kids talk for hours about nonsense, and let you know your keys fell from your pocket, and they may be strangers, but with every little gesture they’re saying “I love you, I love you, I love you”.
