Especially if you are prone to suicidal thoughts, cutting, or just get depressed when people are total assholes towards you. Supposedly yik yak takes precautions against cyber bullying but they forgot how vicious people are in college. People will upvote insanely mean comments and whatever moderators and flagging system that is supposedly in place doesn’t work. I posted about needing the number for the school’s suicide hotline and 10 different people commented telling me to kill myself and “rid the world of a stupid bitch”... and yet yik yak did nothing to get rid of those comments
