Why do so many people think Jason Todd is Red X II? (Teen Titans, 2003)

I know this has probably been mentioned on the internet a million times but I recently watched the series and I just have to say that I don't understand how this theory seemingly became so widely accepted as "Canon" when it doesn't make sense like at all.

Quick note: I'm not saying people can't like the theory, not at all. Also I know the TV show's area in the general mainstream canon is already hazy as is. I'm just yapping because I don't have anyone to talk about this with.

General sequence of events relating to Dick and Jason as 'Robin':

Dick Grayson becomes 'Robin' around 9-12 after his parents die and he's adopted/taken by Bruce.

He serves as Bruce's sidekick in Gotham until about 15-16 when he leaves and creates his own team.

Dick abandons the 'Robin' Moniker at 18-19 to become 'Nightwing'. He was 'Robin' for 6-10 years

Around the same time Dick becomes 'Nightwing' Jason is adopted/taken in by Bruce, becoming the second 'Robin' around 12-13

Jason stays 'Robin' until his death at 14-15, having been 'Robin' for only 1-3 years. He was dead for 6 months and then stayed with the League of Assassins for 3.5-6.5 years

Around 19-21 Jason returns to Gotham as 'Red Hood'.

Given that in the show the main Teen Titans team seem already well established in their identity as the Teen Titans but Dick is still using the name 'Robin', I'd say Dick is likely 17-18. If the show is following the general sequence of events above Jason likely hasn't even met Bruce yet, let alone been given any of the training needed to do any of the stuff Red X II does. Not to mention Red X II is seemingly built exactly like Dick or at least close enough to be mistaken for him which is a problem for the theory since generally Jason is six years younger than Dick.

The theory just doesn't make sense when looking at any of characters general lives at the time. No version of the events make it possible for Jason to be Red X II. The only three things they have in common is their direct tie to Dick, a red and black color palette(which Jason would only get years later), and the word red in their monikers.

Your problems, no matter how minor or common, are still just as important and valid as anyone else's.

This also extends to children of all ages by the way but especially young ones. A minor inconvenience to us can be the worst thing ever to them because they're new to everything and don't understanding much, that inconvenience IS the worst thing ever to them. Let them react, their reactions are valid.

It's spring now which means the kids in my city have started drawing hopscotches on the sidewalk and as a rule I do every hopscotch I see because 1. Use it or lose it (ability to scotch) and 2. If a child got down on the hardscrabble streets of Boston Massachusetts to draw a scotch the least I can do is use it, but in doing the hopscotches, I've learned that about 50% of them are the typical 8-10 step scotch and the other 50% are. Somewhat avant-garde. And of course I'm not vetting the entire scotch before I start it so sometimes it's like haha 8 steps woo! Childlike whimsy! And sometimes they're 20 steps or 30 or they've got a section with three squares instead of two where you have to do a little Charleston to step on all three, or, memorably, FORTY one foot squares. A full BLOCK of jumping on one foot but I'm no quitter so once I've started Jigsaw Junior's fuckin hopscotch gauntlet I'm there til the end just a daily pot smoker in her thirties jumping kasa-obake style through an affluent suburb while some little proto-kennedy watches from his bedroom window rubbing his sadistic little third grade hands together and cackling. It's amazing. I love spring.

Undertale Headcanon

There’s a dog called Least Dog. It’s a dachshund.

The reason you never see it is because it’s so short that it’s always under the snow.

You spare it by giving it belly rubs and a sock baby. If you keep giving it belly rubs its body gets longer and longer. Kind of like Lesser Dog.

You don't see it because you thought it was apart of the rock because it was sleeping in a crevasse(large hole in rock formation) and was covered in snow.

its so fascinating to me that mojang made a disabled villager, called them a nitwit, visually Othered them for the player by giving them different base clothes, but then seemingly unintentionally created an entirely different vibe from the in-universe perspective (which tbf varies a bit depending on the biome, the impact is less in the desert).

to the player, they're stupid. useless. but to the villagers it reads more like "this member of our community cannot work, true. but that's okay. they're still valuable to us. we'll show it by giving them clothing made from dye we can only get from a plant from the other end of the world." nitwit is a cruel exonym, and their little green cardigans prove it
