Alright, so-
I am NOT open for commissions right now (and I'm not sure if I will be in the future).
If you post something generic like "Are you available for commissions?" within one minute of me uploading a picture I will usually assume you are a bot (sorry).
If you ARE actually interested in commissions and I happen to be taking them I'll probably edit this post to include some kind of phrase to have in a request to make it obvious you're not a bot.
I'm in this (using Akasaki Minato/赤咲湊). I'm far from the strongest part though; there are a lot of talented people in this medley.

Why is CoeFont in its own tier?
The offline version of CoeFont did some weird stuff to the sound settings of my computer, so I don't remotely trust it (annoyingly that's how you get voice to voice conversion iirc). The regular site is fine, albeit a weird freemium in-website currency thing, but it's starting to look very AI bro-y. Annoying, because several UTAU characters also have voices there.
Why is UTAU there?
The original version of UTAU is region restricted. Technically I could change my computer's region but I'm very cautious about messing with my computer's settings so I got as far as downloading it and realising it wouldn't run.
Why is SynthV basic there?
In the version I have, the audio becomes unplayable if I remove my headphones. This bug has led to me abandoning many projects when I inevitably forget this is the case. Also minor grievance ik but I keep on having to Google how to zoom. And as much as I get why people like dragging pitch points around, I keep forgetting you can't just hand draw the pitch else it'll feel like it's fighting against you. This is mostly a me thing tbh.
Why is CeVIO Creative Studio there?
I just like CeVIO. There's some personal bias because it was my first tuneable synth, but I like hand drawing pitch. Also the pre-AI version of CeVIO is fun because I like comparing the before and after for tuning some of the clearer vbs like "engine noise, no engine noise".
I just realised I forgot some synths so for the record: imagine every Google experiment is in its own tier above "just don't" but below "rage quit".
Like I was tempted to make a joke post just now like "if I knew how to code I'd use my powers for evil and make a voice synth with the most annoying interface possible" but then I remembered Blob Opera and Pink Trombone and things exist... Very much there for the vibes rather than practical use. I know SOME people use Blob Opera, but god knows how...
Actually yk what I'm curious and this is as good an excuse as any to test the polls feature...
To any vsynth fans seeing this, Desktop Mate (this thing) keeps adding voice synth characters as official collabs, and some of the choices seem kind of surprising. So-

Currently existing vsynth characters are (in approximate order of addition)- Aieru-tan, Hatsune Miku, Zundamon, Koharu Rikka, Miku again, SynthV Kasane Teto, Natsuki Karin, Megurine Luka, Hanakuma Chifuyu, Kizuna Akari, Yuzuki Yukari, Kagamine Rin and Len, Miku again, Miku again, Gumi, Kotonoha Aoi and Akane, and Kasukabe Tsumugi.
That's their current banner rn with Aieru-tan and Miku, so this is just something they're doing I guess.
I *think* they have a slight moe and speech synth bias which is the reason for some of my guesses.
I mentioned briefly a while back how I thought TAKU might be the clearest V6 silhouette vocal...

which is a comparative thing with (nearly) all the Vocaloids. Sadly they don't have asa (who I know is similarly good), or V6 IA (who I hear is good) but it really cements in my mind how he genuinely might be one of the clearest V6s IN GENERAL. Like, he's not engine noise-free but in a mix you're definitely gonna struggle to hear it.
Also dear god is there some range... I don't think I've used NAOKI much but... Oh my god.

There are supposed to be gradients in this but I was drawing in that paint emulator website again and I couldn't work out how to do them.
Alliums are the group that onions, leeks, garlic, chives, etc. belong to be clear. Truly one of the best plant groups.
The year is 4500. Every name in existence is now a Synthesizer V voicebank. Almost.

I think that everyone should have a favourite variety of shark. There's actually a lot of variety in shark species, so plenty to pick from.
Personally, I like bullhead sharks/horn sharks.

One of my project files ended up corrupted so in case it happens again (and to prove I actually use my vocaloids) here's another project I have as a WIP- Goodness and Beauty (original by Rai) covered with SHION. I actually started this ages ago but only remembered it recently.
She has (as with the other Japanese V6s) some issues with pronouncing "r" as "w", but I still think she's pretty underrated.

Realising I missed this poll but honestly... Taku is probably the best V6 silhouette vocal. He's like a masculine version of asa and so far the cleanest and easiest to tune. Sadly I'm convinced many people lump all the V6 silhouettes together, so he was sort of doomed from the start.
I love Daina too, but damnit I wish the numbers were at least a LITTLE closer.
Every new piece of information I hear about Sonika is an emotional rollercoaster.

Oh cool I knew she was British, but Scouser rep feels incredibly rare.

Aww... shame, I would've loved to hear an upgraded version of her voicebank. Maybe it would make her accent more obvious? Plus the designs look really cool.

An increasing problem in a world of AI slop and bots 😔
Attempted to draw Miku in that one art style I aimed for when I was like 6 and my main art influences were Nick Sharratt (illustrator of Tracy Beaker, every other Jacqueline Wilson book, and a ton of others) and Alex Brychta (illustrator of The Magic Key series).
She also has Beano knees.
I might be obsessed with the idea of a British (possibly self-hating) Miku so this kind of urge may happen as her V6 (with potential vocal conversion?) nears.
Unfortunately this style is simple enough I wonder if it might've had its reputation killed by AI. For the record, this is not AI. I drew this in an ms paint emulator on my phone. Which just raises more questions why people use AI image generators.
If I ever become a Vocaloid producer for real I'm gonna earn a "frequent media deleter" tag on my vocadb page so damn quickly istg.
Of the like 1% of the songs I write that are actually any good only 1% of them escape my thoughts of "this was a bad idea actually" and I seriously doubt any of THEM are safe either from me convincing myself that they're cringeworthy, offensive to people who might not even exist, or just plain bad.
Example- I wrote a short song (like 80% complete). It was a cute yuri thing, from the perspective of a woman who couldn't tell if her coworker was flirting or just like that. I was proud of the tune, concept, and wordplay.
One of the bits of wordplay however-
"Workdays like normal, I'm taken aback
By her utterly barbaric "hon" attack."
I was proud of this at the time. It's a pun. "Hon" (short for honey) and "Hun" (as in the people) are homophones (they sound the same). And the juxtaposition was meant to be humorous as those are insane things to compare.
However then I thought "oh maybe the Huns were one of those cultures crazily misinterpreted by the history books, maybe the idea of them as barbarians is an outdated thing meant to 'other' foreign cultures, maybe someone's gonna turn around and go 'I have Hun ancestry and I'm proud of it and you're an asshole".
And then simultaneously at the same "maybe the reputation of the Hun as barbarians was deserved, maybe someone's gonna turn around and go "the Huns were horrible people who murdered my ancestors, you're an asshole for trying to make a light-hearted joke about them like it means nothing".
So anyway I abandoned the song.
The civilisation known as the Hun ceased to exist over 1500 years ago.

The drawing's a little rough because I drew it on an ms paint emulator on my phone but I've been thinking about how personally I'd redesign ci flower if I had to-
Okay so I'll explain:
ci flower is from a parallel universe to v flower and I really feel like they should've leant into that further, which is why the hair colours are flipped. Possibly some yin and yang symbolism can be derived from this? I'm not really familiar with all the interpretations of the symbol though so idk.
Not exactly depicted but I also thought since ci is less androgynous sounding than v it might be fun if that second white hair strand swept just out of sight was part of a small (like not even neck length maybe) half up half down ponytail thing at the back of her head. That way the hair's overall silhouette is preserved from v4 from the front, but the design is a little girlier.
People are regularly annoyed by ci's blue eyes, and tbh it's a choice I question too. I did think of a possible reason for it though- pink and blue are CeVIO's colours, so together with her pink hair accents both are covered in her design. I propose a possible alternative- blue eyes with pink highlights or pink eyes with blue shadows should appear purple from a distance. Idk how well I executed that though.
ci's design lacks the bandages of her other designs so I took the double striped strip of her shorts and moved it up, turning it into a sweatband that- whilst not actually bandages- kinda parallels them. Also one sleeve is rolled up, idk if that was a good idea but I was aiming for asymmetry.
Ragged clothing! Some part of all of her designs prior to ci has some. Cut off shorts didn't feel too out of place so I added them. Torn jacket ends too but just because they were fun to draw.
Extra purple.
Everything else is basically the same.
