I don’t really know how to start this kind of a post.
But I’m asking you all for help, again.
I am a mixed race Canadian First Nations person, (i am Secwepemc, and Hungarian Roma!) and my cousin, a half Cherokee, half Secwepemc man was murdered.
He went hiking with two of his “friends” in a Forrest in British Columbia. And that is where his two friends pulled a gun out, and point blank shot him in the back of the head killing him.
That was 6 years ago. For 6 years my cousin was “missing” And the RCMP never bothered to look for him, because they figured since he was First Nations, he was an addict, and willingly left.
This past January (January 2017) the two men came forward, and confessed to the RCMP about shooting and killing my cousin. And they lead the RCMP to where my cousins body was dumped.
From there they did a DNA test on my cousins bones, and it was a match to my uncle, his father.
finally my cousin Josh was brought home. Where we cremated him, and we split up his ashes between his loved ones.
This is where I need help.
February 2018, is when the trial is set to start. And the only person who will be at the trial, Will be Josh and I’s grandmother. But she’s 76, and sick.
As of November 2017 I will have $600 in savings, to put towards flying out to British Columbia to represent my family at the trial. But I need more money.
I need money for flight, a place to stay, and for public transit.
“Why don’t you just work?” You may ask. We’ll my dear friend. I was diagnosed with a severe, aggressive tumor this past year. I had it surgically removed from my jaw January 2017. And iv been recovering from the major surgery I underwent. I’m just starting to work again now, in July 2017.
TLDR: Please help a first nations family get justice for their murdered family member. I need help, and funds to go stare the men who murdered my cousin in the eye and watch them get put away in jail.

I’m on mobile rn so its an ugly link. But here’s a link to a news site where they first reported about my cousins death/murder.
This has slowed down!!
Iv been keeping everyone updated on my blog, but I really want the word to get out.
A first nations man, was murdered. And no one cares, except for myself and our small family

On September 12th, 1952, these boys (Left to right: Tommy Hyer, Freddie May, Edison May (front), and Neil Nunley (rear).) witnessed a strange object fall from the sky. The boys went home and told Mrs. May of the event, they later went with her, a few other children and 17 year old West Virginia National Guardsman Eugene Lemon to examine the object. They came upon a hill and saw a “ball of fire” a ways to their right and there was a strange mist in the area that made their eyes and noses irritated. Upon seeing two odd lights, Lemon aimed his flashlight under a large oak tree and there it was, the creature that would soon be known as the Flatwoods Monster. This Monster was said to have let out a shrill hissing sound and came at the group before quickly turning and heading toward a red light. The group quickly fled the area.
Shortly after these people came across the monster, they came down with an illness that is said to be attributed to the mist they had encountered. Several of them had irritation of their noses and swelling of the throat for several days after the encounter. Lemon suffered from convulsions and vomiting throughout the night and had issues with his throat for several weeks afterwards. A doctor that treated a few of the witnesses claimed that the symptoms were similar to those that appeared with victims of mustard gas.

trust, trust Him in all things, trust the One who loves you most for He will ease your misery and lift you up all in His own time.
I read and read and read searching for comfort, an invisible hand to hold, my eyelashes flicker, from lack of sleep and understanding.
time, they say, time heals all things, but I can hear it winding down, a carousel of pain ticking away when I had asked to get off long ago.
kind, I say, be kind, but what has it given me? broken teeth, smashed fingers, a heart worn thin and tired of being built into a home only to be burned down.
trust, it says, but my hand is empty, my heart is too, and the boards are on fire.
Them: Oh you don’t want this cat. He’s wild and he bites everyone and he’ll never just sit nicely in your lap. He’s a project cat.
Me: That’s okay, I’m a project person.
Two weeks later:
He won’t leave.
@donskoi
Tell us your secret oh great kitty whisperer.
Step one: let him hide or shy away from you if he wants to. He wouldn’t let me touch him for a couple days after we got back from the shelter. His comfort was more important than me getting to touch him.
Step two: make yourself nonthreatening. In my case this meant being very quiet, bringing food and lying down on the ground within his eyesight as an invitation to investigate.
Step three: watch his body language and don’t do things that make him uncomfortable. Turns out my cat often bit when he was overstimulated so I made sure not to overwhelm him.
Step four: draw lines, but not with brute force. Even though his biting wasn’t meant to hurt, I wanted to make sure he wouldn’t injure anyone in the future. So I decided when he bit me, I’d yelp “ow!” And then withdraw all physical contact for a few minutes, sometimes leaving the room. Now he never bites, but sometimes he puts his teeth on my hand and then thinks better of it.
Step five: provide a good outlet for destructive behaviors. Aka PLAY WITH HIM, SEVERAL TIMES A DAY.
Step six: be patient.
Step seven: get lucky and somehow pick up the best cat in the entire shelter. I don’t know how it happened but he’s a godsend. He’s literally cuddled me out of a panic attack. We both really needed each other.
Ever since I found the Facebook group for our local Pokemon Go players, I have never had so much fun playing this game. It’s amazing to have such a concept that can bring so many people together. i’ve made lots of new friends and met so many people playing and I’m so happy about it.
I’m looking forward to Niantic’s next Pokemon Go Fest. After the first one under their belt, I hope they’ve learned from any mistakes made in Chicago, and the next one is even better whenever that may be.
The raid system was a huge success and has brought so many people back to the game and I’m so happy about it.
It's pretty nuts seeing like 20 cars full of people collected at gyms in my boring little city. I wish I could play more, maybe I'd make some friends.
