Day 6 and thank the heavens women were given the gift of Read, so I might one day wear these #7: BOOTY SHORTS in my home office. Look at me type! I'm up to 4 words per minute! Back straight, elbows high, fingers light, ladies! And with shorts like these, someone is sure to read my essay and think, "I'll bet she showered, applied makeup, and was wearing something suit-like in her process." But they're not just for home office - I also walked my dog in them! In public! Recommended "small dose" in these v rad hi-tops that I got from #Vans complete Day 4, #20 in the #24ThingsOver30 streak: Leopard Print. I also own leopard print heels, leopard print hoop earrings, and some leopard print unmentionables that I've had since probably early college/late burlesque days and shouldn't be pictured (by my age, I "should know it's always better to leave something to the imagination" just kidding I didn't want anyone to see how tattered my delicates are just yet. Day 3, honeys. Taking care of #18 of #24ThingsOver30: OVERSIZED SUNGLASSES. Pictured, you see this $5 pair I purchased on the Venice Boardwalk and wear daily. Notice the gold chain, which doubles as a lanyard (like I've said before, "Just as practical to leave $15 in the back of a Lyft or bar counter instead of replacing these durn things.") Day 2 of #24ThingsOver30. Knocking out #6: old sneakers. Any given day, I might ask myself, "Oh, my god. What did I forget about and am now running late for today?" Answers are usually: Work, where my tennis shoes will be covered in grease, smoke and outdoor downtown market dirt. An audition, where I need black flats for 4 minutes and no one will see the hole in the bottom. Or maybe I'm choosing to ride my bike, where I can easily slip on some sparkly gold shoes that are flimsy enough to wrap around the pedals yet strong enough to step in grease, food or dog shit on the road or sidewalk. Is it raining? Does it matter that I have holes in the bottom of 2 of these? Will I be in sand? Will the ground scald my feet? Usually not. That's why I keep these assholes around, just in case. I have a couple pairs of good shoes too, but I'm not going to ruin them at any of those places. #sneakers #feminism #oldsneakers
