Tee hee hee. I'm back! (because my life is going to shit, so I am now procrastinating a lot of insane shit via Teen Wolf again)
ANYWAY! Violet and Garrett are both really interesting characters, and we only know them for a little bit in the show. We don't get a lot of information on them, so a lot of what I'm going to say is gonna be conjecture and personal opinion (also haven't seen the Vi and Garrett scenes in a while, so cut me some slack) <3
Violet seems like such a girlboss in the way where I don't wanna call her a girlboss yk? It feels like she definitely took on a lot of responsibility at a young age, and maybe is now (as an 'adult') still taking all that responsibility. They're both orphans, as far as we can tell, and it feels like Violet takes on the parental role. It feels like she's taking care of Garrett and letting him do all the fun shit (like playing lacrosse, going to parties, and making friends). It could just be that they needed Garrett to get close to Scott, but at the same time, it also feels like Violet could have done something similar on her own.
Garrett is very 'boys will be boys' to me. I feel as if he's got this boyish charm and nature, the cheery smile and sports aesthetic make him easy to trust. It's a good con, but I don't know how much Garrett had to do with that. Garrett seems like he's in charge, which we see a bit where he decides he has to kill Scott instead of waiting to kill Liam. But at the same time, you can see that Violet is both surprised and not at all.
I'd say they have a very flip-flopping relationship. I can see them being very on and off, though it's never really off. because there's nothing that could possibly split them up. I genuinely believe that if someone tried to drive a wedge between them, they wouldn't be able to. Like, they know enough about each other that they can't lie to each other, and no one can lie to them about each other.
All they have is each other, and I think it's interesting that they don't really seem like that. They do a lot of work with others, in terms of making friends for their own gain, but the only ones who understand them are each other. It feels like Violet and Garrett are two sides of the same coin. You can't separate them, but they can never look at each other.
Does any of this make sense? Am I just talking in circles? Am I simply stating the obvious? Who fucking knows! I now have to apply to transfer colleges bc mine is closing right before my senior year! Isn't that fab!
Barely anything happened without Malia knowing about it. But she still wasn't sure how she started dating Tracy and Braeden. She wasn't sure about it, but she wasn't upset it had happened.
Headcanons under the cut.
Braeden plays the guitar and serenades her partners as much as she can, she's also teaching Malia how to play, and Malia can play a few short songs and enjoys horrifically serenading her partners with a plinky version of twinkle twinkle
Tracey loves to cuddle her partners and hold them in her arms as much as possible
Braeden is a traveller and really loves being able to move around as much as possible, Malia is similar and really loves to be able to move around and change what she's seeing and viewing all of the time, Tracy enjoys it, but more enjoys how much her partners are enjoying themselves
Malia absolutely cannot cook and can pretty much just help other people measure ingredients, Braeden is a great cook and Tracy can make a few things well, but doesn't really like going off road without a recipe
Malia is the big spoon, Tracy is the little spoon and Braeden brackets Tracy
Tracy loves camping and will take her partners to the preserve to go camping in the wilderness, Malia will absolutely go coyote mode and cuddle between her partner's bodies
On full moons, the three go to the preserve and spend the night camping, though sometimes Braeden gets nervous about the prospects of omegas in the preserve, and they spend it at home
All of these make perfect sense to me. SO... let me explain.
First of all, they're obviously a power couple. Like, I don't really need to explain that one. Alpha Scott and Allison as the Matriarch for the Argents, PLUS Malia, the extremely powerful werecoyote! It's very obvious that they're gonna take over the world.
If you think about it, it's basically canon. In a weird way. Like, after Allison's death, there's no world in which Scott stops loving her or thinking about her, so she's basically the unspoken third member to his later relationship with Malia. Allison shaped the way that Scott thinks about love and the way he approaches it, so in a way, Malia is falling for the version of Scott that emerged from his time with Allison.
Even in an AU where she lives, Allison has really entwined herself in Scott's life and who Scott is, so Malia would have to be comfortable enough with that to date Scott.
All three of them, though!
Allison and Malia don't interact in canon much at all. They know of each other, but there's very little connection. I feel that, if Allison lived, there would definitely be a bit of contention. I think Allison would try her best, but that there would still be a divide. Any connection is going to come up in conversation and in active battle. Malia would definitely admire Allison's strategic mind, though I can see it also being some contention, where Malia finds Allison's strategies too slow, wanting things to be complete as fast as possible. If they spoke in any sort of deep manner, they would realize just how similar they are.
They both have lots of pain and tragedy in their past, though Allison had more of a 'normal' life than Malia did.
Scott, on the other hand, is the kind of middle ground between their personalities. He's very steady but still has that very strong emotionality. He cares about everyone and everything. There's this sort of middle ground in terms of ability to wait- he wants to be able to strategise and wait, and learns that the more responsibility he takes on, but at first he's very impulsive and quick to move on things.
Moving on to my second point, Angst-factor. There's a lot of it there for them. For Allison, it's falling for not one, but two, of her family's 'natural enemies.' I feel like it's something so barely touched on in canon.
For Scott, it's very much going to be this angst in terms of emotional confusion. Poly relationships can very much be angsty at first, and I think Scott would fall into that self-loathing. He'd definitely feel terrible about having such strong feelings for both of them. He would really go in hard on himself, because I feel like he's such a self-loathing bitch. He'd feel greedy and as if he were cheating somehow, even if he's not dating one of them and harbouring feelings for the other or whatever. He'd definitely not be able to hold it in for too long.
Malia is probably going to have the least angst about the whole poly thing. For her, it's going to be anger and frustration because she still doesn't quite get why it's these people. Like, there's a level of distrust of Scott for pulling her out of her comfort zone (coyote form) and an obvious level of distrust for Allison for her family and her past. That's where the angst comes from.
Weirdos... Which is like duh. They're very weird. Allison, in being someone important to two weres, becomes very wolf-like. She suddenly becomes like a little instinctively wrong to humans, because she's using her body language to communicate with all the weres around her. It's so weird to watch her communicate with weres because she's using so few words, but her body is tilting and moving in ways humans don't during conversation.
Malia is both a weirdo in the human community and were community. Because she's a werecoyote, she's less likely to be scenting her partners or always touching them in the way that wolves would be. She's more likely to go hunting in coyote form and return with some sort of hunt for them. Malia is very independent, and I do think that she'd probably be doing her own thing a lot of the time and doesn't always seem like she's a part of the relationship to an outsider.
Scott is like duh. He's a weirdo. He's always scenting Allison, keeping her in his arms or close to him. He's always verbally claiming Malia as his, because he knows she doesn't like to be scented, but she does like still knowing that she belongs somewhere. He's also the Alpha in that he's always listening to his partner's feelings and thoughts, and he's always asking for their opinions in leading and stuff. It's not normal for Alphas to defer to their partners like Scott does.
This is so long already, but basically, I think they work together really well. I also think Malia works best in poly relationships and that this one is like really fuck yeah for her. Allison and Scott get to like nest and be domestic, and Malia gets to have people to come home to. <3 They're cuties to me.
I am of course going to submit my beloved Steter for analysis
Stiles Stilinski x Peter Hale Analysis
They make me violent... in such a good way. Like, I don't even know how to explain it. So like, take all of this with the mind that I am obsessed with them and will gas them up until I die. Also, this is like... crazy long, and I'm sorry :(
They are so similar but different. I feel like I say that a lot, but like........ They remind me of like... the same product in different packaging... Like name brand vs store brand (though who is who idk).
You can see it really clearly through the series as Stiles develops, just how similar he is to Peter, specifically s2+s3A Peter. Like, Peter really goes out of his way to be annoying and grumpy and somehow still helps. He's always being a piss-baby about it, but he's going to help. He's gonna complain and throw a fit and maybe even make the pack work for the answers, but he's gonna help them in the end.
Stiles is very similar in that he's always giving those little sarcastic quips. That's essentially the same energy as Peter complaining about helping or doing any work. It's also kinda crazy how much Stiles cares about his friends and his pack. Like, you can see the parallels and similarity between Peter in s1 and Stiles in some of the later seasons. He's very much a vengeful person and only really has morals because of Scott.
With the whole 'I'm only human' speech, we know Stiles and Scott aren't talking about the same thing, but we know that Stiles is still justifying murder. He's not... really. But he is.
Even though we know it was an accident and was self-defence, someone still died, and Stiles is defending that in his speech, even though it's really roundabout. It's kinda reinforcing this sort of downhill for Stiles, post-nogitsune, into a darker kind of space.
Peter, in s1, is doing murder, and though he is really mentally not okay, he's still justifying it. Later, he doesn't seem apologetic or remorseful at all. He's vengful and it's all about revenge here (I don't really believe in any way that he hurt Laura, and I can't remember if they addressed it in canon, so I'm gonna ignore it).
A lot of viewers can very clearly see Stiles fall into these depths. It's really evident with how many DarkStiles fics you can find on Ao3.
What I think is really interesting about their relationship is that Peter doesn't seem to want Stiles to fall to his level. You can really see this in s6A. It may not be specifically with Stiles, but you can really see how he doesn't want Malia to become like him... as a viewer, you can really easily see Stiles in that position too. Even when they're in the Ghost Rider dimension together, Stiles has to kind of convince Peter to return to reality there... It feels kind of like Stiles is the light, and Peter is fighting to return to it.
It's also kinda interesting to me that Peter's first real character interaction in the show is with Stiles. It's very violent, especially so early on in the show and the two characters really sort of revolve around each other.
So like I said, they both have this darkness that's so hidden, with Peter, it's obviously not hidden very well. But I feel like having that similarity that they don't really get to see in many other people around them is really important for their relationship. I think they have this kind of singularity to them, where they are kind of the only one who really understands each other.
In a relationship that can either be really good or really toxic. I think with this relationship, that difference could be hard to define. Stiles and Peter aren't ever, in my opinion, going to be codependent. I think they have WAY too many issues for that.
Like, I can't see Stiles pinning his entire life/happiness/ability to live on one person, because he's so logical that he can clearly see just how bad of an idea that is. Peter wouldn't either because he has already experienced that bad outcome and can't put himself in a position to do it again.
To me, the magic of thier relationship is how much time they can spend apart and still make the relationship work. Like I can really see them being so close emotionally that their relationship wouldn't work as well if they were always physically close/on top of each other. I mean, I do LOVE them as a touchy-feely couple, becayse I think that's just true.
Stiles is very much someone who doesn't think before hanging off of someone and I feel like, though Peter may seem like he's not super into it, he's obsessed with it. Like, the way Stiles interacts with him is very wolf and not very human and I think that makes Peter feel more... wanted? Or like needed in that moment.
ARGH.
I could yap about them for so much longer but I wont. Will defintely revisit them in the future though because there's so many AU's and headcanons and just word vomit I could say about them.
so like... random question.... how long of an analysis are yall willing to read bc the one i am working on rn is like... LONG! im also thinking of doing multiple over time for ships i just have SO much to say about... but would yall be up for that???
See theres a lot here... yk. Like, I don't really enjoy this ship personally, but I'll try not to let it colour my analysis. Also like... It's hard to analyse a character with so little canon knowledge, because what am I analysing with Laura? I'm gonna try my best here, though
I feel like Laura and Isaac are very different but also very similar. I think they both have this really deep inner rage, and the difference is how they express that. I think Laura is very expressive and emotive with it, like if she's ma,d you'll know. I think there is also an internal aspect to it, though, that she'd really try not to be so externally rageful about the injustices in her life that she can't control.
Isaac, on the other hand, is very much internalized in his rage. You see it a lot in canon with his quickness to jump into fights and how easy it was for him to fall into that rage that Derek was trying to pull out of him in s2. He's really trying his best to keep it all in, though, and it really only comes out when it's pulled from him or if he explodes with all the emotion he's keeping within himself.
I think, if they dated, it would (obviously) have to be an AU. I can see something with forced proximity. Because I really can't see many other ways for Laura and Isaac to get close enough to each other for their similarities to come out. Like, if they were forced to be coworkers or roommates, there would be no way for them to hide that subtle rage and anger from each other over such a long time. It would have to come out, and I think that once it does, the relationship would really start to flow from there.
No matter who Laura is with, I see her as a protector. I think that there's something really intrinsic about the way she took care of Derek after the fire, and while I don't think she'd see Isaac in the same way, I do think she'd be really protective of him. I can also see Isaac being a little perturbed by this, like he's spent a lot of time and energy trying to become someone who can protect himself. I think they very quickly fall into being each other's protectors or guard dogs.
For them, a really powerful moment in their relationship would definitely be one where they are both loudly protecting the other. Because I feel like they would really dislike that in the moment. They would both feel infantilised in some way, as if the other person didn't believe they could defend themselves.
The argument that would ensue would absolutely be earth-shattering.
Whatever comes out of that would fundamentally change their relationship. Because if they come out of it knowing that the other believes in their abilities but would rather they didn't need to use them, then this relationship could WORK. Like seriously. If any other kind of conclusion gets drawn, then I can really see them absolutely just crashing.
Obviously, this is all subjective, like I'm really coming to this with a specific point of view.
Lydia is a very internal character in the earlier seasons, and since Cora isn't introduced then, I can't see them getting together then. Cora is a very external character- she's very physical, not only in her wolf stuff but also due to how she serves the story by simply being there.
I think that, no matter what universe they're in, Cora and Lydia wouldn't get together until after Lydia has her whole redemption arc/realisation about who she is. I feel like Lydia would have to grow from her very logical and manipulative phase (season 1) to be in the right space to date Cora.
If they dated before then, which is something I can see happening if Cora went to Beacon Hills High and was popular, I don't think they'd stay together very long. I feel like it would be very toxic and definitely unhealthy for the girlies.
In canon, I can see them connecting physically during season 3A when Cora is introduced. I can see it being purely physical at first, with emotions coming later, maybe after Cora leaves Beacon Hills. Distance makes the heart grow fonder or whatever.
There's also a world where, in canon, Lydia reaches out to Cora at the beginning of s4, though that would only be something that would occur if Lydia and Cora became friends in s3A... Lydia would reach out to Cora about Derek in s4 and Cora would def come back to Beacon Hills... I can see them having a very weird relatiosnhip at first, just friends and maybe Cora feeling something more... probably Lydia making the first move though, because I see her as someone who, once she realizes she likes someone, isn't going to pussy-foot around it
I think once they get together, they are a POWER COUPLE. Because can you imagine Lydia's brains and Cora's physical strength??? It would definitely be crazy. I think Lydia would be really astonished at the trust Cora would put in her and probably be really wary of it at first... Cora probably also would be wary of it, knowing what happened the last time a Hale trusted a human like that, but I think if they communicate, they could get through it.
Cora is definitely more external with her style of communication. I think we see that pretty solidly in the show with how bluntly she speaks. Lydia, on the other hand, is better at communicating with body language or through sarcasm/manipulation. These two communication styles can def work well together, in that Lydia never has to worry if Cora is having a bad time somewhere or doesn't like spending time with her. Whereas Cora, with her wolf abilities, can easily tell that, despite Lydia's griping, she is having fun.
I think they definitely interact in a way that is strange to outsiders but works well for them. They definitely are really annoying to outsiders because Lydia has to do very little actual speaking to get her point across to Cora, which can be strange when you know Lydia because she's very talkative.
If they ever move in together, it would be really interesting, because I feel like Lydia is very particular about where things are and what belongs in which spaces, whereas Cora is really messy and the kind of person who treats putting things down in a place as belonging there. They definitely had a real fight about this, like a week or two after moving in together. Compromises are made, but it's always going to be hard for Cora to try and put things where they 'belong' according to Lydia.
Cora, to me, works somewhere where she can be active, such as a personal trainer or a sports coach. Lydia is very obviously going to go on to do something crazy with maths or physics. They are definitely supportive of each other's jobs, but I feel like Cora is always a little envious of how much time Lydia spends working and just wants to cuddle her girl after a long day at work.
I don't think they'd ever have kids, either through adoption or IVF or whatever. I feel like neither of them would be really into that. They both value their jobs and their alone time and just being free to spend time with their family, pack, or each other, so I don't see kids in their future.
Lots of yapping just to say, I really think they would work well together, though I can see them always having some issues to work through. Communication is going to be something they are always working through, and I think that's kinda beautiful!

They are always going to be subjective and entirely on what i think and feel about characters and how they'd work together! It's going to be a lot less organised because it's gonna be entirely up to my whim... tho I'm going to try and do at least two every month
I'm still gonna use my crazy ass spreadsheet bc i spent so long on it and im proud of it tbh
I'm excited about this! expect to see the first analysis soon <3
what do you think about the ship of stiles and cora? I look forward to new publications:)
Hey! I have been off for a while, just dealing with burnout and getting surgery! I am planning to start posting again, I know this blog is ship of the day, but we might end up being ship of the week!
But to answer your question! stiles and cora as a ship is really cute. I think they'd be something that would work pretty well together. Stiles feels like he's very excitable and full of energy wheras Cora is more serious but has the same level of energy as Stiles I think. I do feel like they would have similar energy and probably have really cute date nights and would def be adorable together
Melissa knew that this was who she was supposed to be with. It just made sense. Her and Noah was almost inevitable with how comfortable they were with each other.
Headcanons under the cut.
Melissa and Noah have been co-parenting for so long that it becomes second nature. They really enjoy being able to finally say, 'go ask your mom' or 'tell your dad first'
Melissa cooks more often than Noah does. They aren't usually home for diners as they both work so hard but in those cases Noah will pick up take out and they'll eat on the sofa
Noah is more often the big spoon but every so often the two will curl into each other face to face to sleep
Melissa is a lover of drama and drama shows. She loves reality tv and other similar types of media. Noah really doesn't care what he watches on tv or what media he consumes, so he ends up watching a lot of reality shows with Melissa
They both have really long work days and sometimes don't get to talk all day. They'll text each other during the day but are usually exhausted at the end of the day and don't really want to talk about their day
A hellhound and an alpha werewolf. Who would have thought? They were an odd couple, but you'd never see Halwyn complaining. Talia was his everything.
Headcanons under the cut.
Talia loves a rainy day. She loves to run around in the rain or watch a thunderstorm roll in. Halwyn isn't in the same boat as her but he lives how happy she gets
Halwyn is a pretty good chef but gets confused over recipes quickly. Talia is a good cook, but her food always runs on the saltier side
Halwyn has a sketchbook where he draws things he notices in his day to day life. They are always filled with sketches of Talias face, her hair. her hands, whatever part of her he's focused on that day
Talia is a bit of a big spoon when falling asleep but moves during the night to become the small spoon. She always runs hot in her sleep, and Halwyn is the same, so they barely ever need a full duvet or comforter to sleep comfortably
They both enjoy gift giving and get each other small things every so often. Talia lives to get Halwyn flowers, and Halwyn often gives Talia small things that appeal more to her wolf side. She always loves his gifts, and he loves receiving flowers as he was never used to it before Talia. It always makes him blush
They're both very tactile. Talia can always be seen with a hand around Halwyns wrist, and Halwyn adores just picking up Talia and walking her out of a room to end a conversation. She thinks it's just as funny as he does
Halwyn has always wanted to explore the world and travel. Talia can't really do that because of her alpha responsibilities, so instead, she takes an extremely scheduled vacation once a year with Halwyn, and they travel to a new place every time. It's wonderful, and the scheduled bit of it makes it so that nothing ever interrupts their vacation, and if they do, then they'd have a very angry power couple to deal with
Jackson didn't ever think he'd come back to Beacon Hills. He especially didn't consider falling for the quiet-looking lacrosse player. Jackson didn't know how he lived without Nolan, and he didn't think he could return to that.
Headcanons under the cut.
Jackson and Nolan practice lacrosse together. Nolan is really nervous the first time, but Jackson is perfect as a teacher. He doesn't want to make Nolan feel the way that he felt when he was playing
Nolan gets really into learning archery and self-defence. Argent teaches him how to defend himself. Nolan gets really into jokingly sparring with Jackson
The two of them are really close. They tell each other everything. Jackson's past and Nolan's past are things that they talk about quietly and in the comfort of their own homes
Dates are sometimes small and cute and sometimes big and fun. Nolan will usually plan quieter dates, and Jackson adores planning bigger dates and vacations just for the two of them
Nolan loves cuddling with his partner. Any sort of physical connection is something that Nolan loves
Nightmares are something that happens often in their household. Both of them need to be held and cuddled after a nightmare. Sometimes Jackson will need a bit of a break, about 15 minutes or so before being able to cuddle away his fears or traumas
okay, so if you haven't noticed recently, ships are not going to be posted at the exact same time every day. I realized it was too difficult to keep to that schedule when im waking up later in the day, also I don't feel like anyone really noticed that so its not really a big deal if I change it. this should put us back on one ship every day and should stop the awkward missing days that I didn't post because I woke up after the scheduled posting time I set for myself.
Isaac didn't need to question how he got into this situation. He might have at one point. Not anymore though. Isaac didn't know how he got here but he wasn't going to question it. Theo and Scott were it for him.
Headcanons under the cut.
Theo goes to every single one of Scott and Isaac's lacrosse games. He gets really into strategy and definitely debriefs all of their games afterwards
Nightmares in their house usually involve about 30 minutes of needing to be alone after waking up. Once they come down from the fear, there is usually a lot of conversation and comforting
Isaac cannot cook. Scott can cook fairly well as long as its recipes he remembers from childhood, he can't really learn new ones. Theo can cook as long as he has a recipe, though it never turns out the same every single time
All three of them are so tactile. Often times Theo won't feel comfortable in public showing PDA to his partners but around the pack he's a lot more comfortable with it. The three of them are always touching in some way. Isaac loves to either give or get piggy-back rides. Scott loves to just be really close to his partners in any way
All three of them are really angsty about their relationship. Every single one of them thinks they don't deserve this relationship. Theo gets really angsty about how 'good' and 'great' Scott is. Scott feels like Theo's done so much work to be a good person and he hasn't done anything. Isaac feels like Theo and Scott know each other better than he does and Theo feels like Scott and Isaac work better together. It's just a ball of angst
If Stiles considered himself the King on the chess board, then Chris was his Queen. He could move wherever he wanted and didn't need to be protected the way that Stiles did. Chris was more of a danger on the board than Stiles was, but Chris knew just how smart the King could be.
Headcanons under the cut.
Stiles and Chris are an absolute power duo. They make plans like its breathing and always have backups for anything that could happen
Chris is the big spoon more often than not. Stiles would much prefer to spread out as much as possible when sleeping, and Chris likes to keep Stiles as comfortable as possible while also being held
Neither of them are fantastic cooks, Stiles is probably better than Chris, but only by a bit. Both of them would much rather get take out than make anything. Anything Stiles can make are things his mother taught him when he was younger. It's always emotional when he cooks, so sometimes he'd rather just not
They play chess a lot together. Sometimes Chris wins but its usually Stiles
Chris taught Stiles how to handle weapons, though Stiles prefers not to. He'll use them in emergency situations, but never when he can talk his way out of it. Stiles will always prefer to use his mind over any sort of brawn
Stiles can't fall asleep unless he's listening to something. Usually, it's a documentary. Chris prefers action movies as the sounds of explosions quickly become white noise to him. They always have some sort of show or movie playing at their place, and it alternates between what each of them like
Stiles is definitely more tactile than Chris is. Chris would rather not show that he has connections in any situation. Stiles prefers to have some sort of connection to his partner
