REMINDER: This is an AU and a WHAT IF scenario for fun! I made this bsck in August/September

I’m really glad I’ve only seen tasteful interpretations of post-canon Goro & Haru interactions. I love the idea of them being friends! The two of them harbour such anger and defiance that they often find themselves hiding, even if it manifests differently. Haru has always struggled with her anger, choosing to mask it entirely, whereas Goro leans into it more. Although he’s hiding behind a mask for most of canon, he lets his anger guide him. That being said… Haru presents her anger in a very interesting way, which I like in this comic! She’s so gentle, soft spoken, yet she’s snappy! It’s wonderful to see how well the comic has captured her. She doesn’t want to hate Goro. She doesn’t want to hate anyone. She’s angry, of course she’s angry, but it’s so conflicting for her!!! She snaps at him at first, perhaps not out of her dislike of him, but perhaps because she just wants to actually curb the problem, rather than listen to Mr. Self Deprecating Goro Akechi waffle on about how he kicks puppies. I’ve always enjoyed how Haru (and Futaba) is able to see Goro as a victim, whilst feeling wholly wrong about what he’s done. It clearly sits uncomfortably within her and she hates it. She wants to be rid of it. Unlike Goro, who half just wants to hurt himself, she’s willing to try.
