"would you mind designing...?" That is not how this works, and that type of language really discounts me as an artist! Would i mind, yes of course i fucking mind. I use my mind to make art, of course i MIND. Please heavily consider when you ask your artist friends to do something for you pro-bono, because nobody will shut the fuck up to us about 'oh yeah you can design this and that for my group/band/life' - i am a dynamic human being with her own group/art/life/shitty job/responsibilities/mental health to think about. Please stop viewing me as a tool! It is one thing to open up dialogue with an artist without expectation- to see what they would consider, it is another to just ~ casually~ ask for whatever the fuck you want. I am trying to get to a point where i can partially support myself through my art and nobody seems to give a fuck about that. Nobody seems to give a fuck that the art i make takes a LOT of focus and time. Yeah, it looks cool because i work HARD on it. Let's start considering the fact that the muscle memory artists need takes years and years to develop, and that every time you ask an artist to make you something pro-bono that you are actually capitalizing off of YEARS of their work. Drawing is not just something I 'do'. FUCK.
