Social anxiety as an adult is very frustrating. You’re expected to handle everything normally and you’re looked down upon if you can’t. I still get anxiety walking into crowded rooms (work, college, doctors, stores, etc) and I still absolutely hate making phone calls. I have to calm myself down at times because I work myself up. And I feel like if I tell anyone around me this stuff I’ll just get told to grow up. Anyway, just want to remind everyone that your anxiety is validated no matter what age you are. Don’t let people make you think you’re crazy or weird for it. I know it’s frustrating and I know a lot of people don’t understand what’s going on in your head- but you’re not alone in this struggle.
