In the end, it wasn’t the dark curse that killed Anne, or the goblins that raided Feldcroft one final time.

It wasn’t the bouts of pain that had reached her heart, squeezing it a little more each time until it gave out.

And neither was the heartbreak that she’d never live the life she’d dreamed of, with a first kiss, children like herself and Sebastian, a free witch.

It was the knowledge that she was the reason Sebastian had turned to the Dark Arts completely, drowned in the hope of saving her.

In the end, she’d lost her brother, as much as he’d lost her.

Sebastian Sallow Headcanons When He’s Jealous That Ominis Is Spending More Time With You

Oh, it drives him crazy, and he is not subtle about it. The more he thinks about it, the worse he gets.

He genuinely acts like it’s the end of the world. From the moment he first saw you, he felt like you were going to change his life in every possible way, and now he’s terrified of losing you.

Ominis notices by the second day of Sebastian acting petty. He just laughs, because jealous Sebastian is actually kind of cute and very funny. He always acts so tough, like nothing could ever get to him.

He finally loses it during a free period. The two of you are in the gardens, and you happen to mention something funny Ominis did, and Sebastian immediately goes, “Do you like him? Are you in love with him?”

Then he has to explain why he suddenly jumped to that conclusion. And then explain why he’s been observing you so closely. And then, somehow, it all ends in a confession: “I just want to be the only guy you look at.”

Did I mention he’s a little bit possessive? He starts holding your hand on the way to class, or resting his hand on the small of your back whenever you walk together.

The way he pouts when you choose Ominis as your class partner instead of him… honestly, it’s ridiculous. Why would you do that? You promised you’d always be by his side.

He starts showing up everywhere Ominis is, pretending it’s a coincidence when it very clearly isn’t.

The second Ominis makes you laugh a little too hard, Sebastian is already glaring and planning how to steal your attention back.
