What purpose will a network serve?
The network will consist of blogs that adore Benedict and are mainly about him. Anyone can follow/browse the network (like a gallery) to discover new Benedict-centered blogs and hopefully make some new friends in the process.
Follow me (not actually a requirement, although it is an exciting option)
Must appreciate, respect, and support Benedict Cumberbatch unconditionally
Be respectful toward Benedict (that means his looks, his wardrobe, his personality, etc.), his family, and his friends (even if, somehow, you aren’t fond of them). No belittling, no rudeness, and no hate or negativity toward any of the aforementioned. Thank you.
Post a lot of Benedict. Like, A LOT! Blogs which predominantly consist of Benedict are ideal. If you post a lot of Benedict and occasionally some other things as well, that’s fine, too. I’d be a total hypocrite otherwise….
No NSFW or slash. Blogs with this content will not be considered ( I will be checking)
Have a Benedict inspired url or theme (eg: background, sidebar, etc.) Urls and themes inspired by a character Benedict has played are also brilliant.
Be familiar with more of Benedict’s work than just Sherlock. Obviously, there is nothing wrong with only having seen him in Sherlock; this network is simply for those who are familiar with and post a broad variety of his work.
Reblog this post so your blog can be considered. Likes will not be considered, however liking this post to keep track of it is totally fine.
When your blog is approved:
I’ll message you with an invitation (I’d love to hand-deliver them on fine parchment with a spiffy wax seal, but oh well.)
Send me an icon (the one used on your own blog is ideal; that way you are easily identifiable to users who visit or follow the network)
Your name (real or pseudonym, whichever you prefer)
A short description about yourself (optional)
ADD A DIRECT LINK TO The Benedict Network on your blog once you are accepted. (If you aren’t sure how to do this, just let me know and I’ll gladly help you out!)
FOLLOW THE BENEDICT NETWORK and please feel free to follow the other members as well. That’s kind of the point; finding and supporting each other and then sharing stuff with one another. The more of us Cumbercookies who terrorize run amok together on Tumblr, the better (?). But you don’t have to if you don’t want to. This is not a dictatorship.
Once this post reaches 25 notes, I’ll add the first few members to the network. I’ll add a few more every couple of days.
