Acting + Socials:
I've been in the booth for about two and a half years, and if I have my way, I'll be doing this indefinitely! Happy to do all sorts of VA/VO, but I have fallen for audio drama in particular. I can hit quite a range of archetypes, but my specialties are snarky/sassy, and frantic. My Aussie accent is South Australian, and I regularly play many general English and general American characters. I study at SkillsHub, and spent six months in Canada to focus on my VA. I've since returned to Aus, but I want to go back!
Speaking of going back, I used to toil in the Tumblr mines a lonnnnng time ago so lol. I'm also on Bluesky and Insta, but with most things social media battery ebbs and flows because introverts gonna introvert. Let's see if I make it longer than two posts here...
Where you might have heard me in audio land?
- Actual Play: I Should Roll an unofficial Mass Effect pod (Athena + others)
- Audio Drama: Appalachia: A Fallout 76 Story (Kitt), Fallen Orbit (Mosman), [Redacted] (Agent Winters), Someone Just Like You (Serena), Black Sheep Shipping (Maddie), Heartglass (Trapped Townsperson), Radio San Lazaro (Bobbi & ?)! annnd quite a few that haven't aired yet!
- Interactive: Broadway Broadcast - A Fallout 4 New York Radio Mod (Eliot), For A Few Brahmin More - A Fallout New Vegas Mod (Dr. Vestch), Skywind (in production - don't ask me when, but production is humming away!
Anything else?
For ISR I create the episode promos and advertise on our BSky and IG, and have been dabbling in dialogue editing since November '25 (so feel free to hit me up for VA or DE). I also have a penchant for improv, and quite possibly have something to that effect in the works to be released some time this year... stay tuned, and I'll see ya around!
Edit: That project is here! Well, the trailer is. Check out my solo improvised audio drama Vignettes! ☺️
(And find the official tumblr at https://vignettespod.tumblr.com/)
Whomst? Hey, Tumblr! My name is Lea Lawson, and I'm the creator of Vignettes! I Neil Breen'd this project and did all the things (save for the soundtrack sourced by Tim Kulig, the open+close themes by Maria Damianou & myself, and the seven episode artworks are also by Maria!)
What is Vignettes?
It's a fully improvised short form audio drama! You read right, I wrote out loud and just had to trust that I'd find my way through each story
You'll get dropped into a situation (or an about-to-be-situation) and get to decide if the episode's char is a reliable narrator
You don't need to know any backstory to jump into any of these! That said, maybe read each episode's show notes before hitting play for CWs if you have certain triggers – episodes can be intense at times and I made these feeling grief so pls take care x
You're gonna fill in the blanks because I voice one character per episode and I don't give you context. Wait, was that char being literal or figurative? Wait, who are they talking to? Wait, did they survive?? Woah, is your theory about x episode different than your friend's? Maybe drawing your own conclusions is fun :)
The story part of the episodes only run sixish minutes, and with theme/credits only eight to nine mins long – bite sized audio, hooray! You have under ten minutes to spare, yeah?
I've solo'd this so it could be fun hearing what nonsense flew out of my mouth?
There are seven episodes to this show, and the total runtime is 59 mins so TBH this is very bingeable!
It's not just my voice, you'll also be treated to a full score and SFX!
Finally, it's my first time with full creative control of anything, and made this on a wing and a prayer. It's a little rough - but the point was the journey: raw and imperfect
Whenst? (I know that's not a word. Just let me do the bit). All episodes are out now! ^_^

Alice, played by the most excellent Arielle Skye, is a street witch, a combat witch, a PUNK WITCH. You wanna hear more? Check us out wherever you get your podcasts!
It was a great week to listen to audio dramas and play Audio Fiction BINGO
Alice Isn't Dead: Don't Tell Alice
Episode 5 and Episode 6 (current)
Really enjoying the exploration of the life after, Keisha's joy of married life. The past vs the present. Gods the music is gorgeous. It's making me nostalgic in the best way, I want to relisten the whole show.
Hello from the Hallowoods
Episodes 41-43
I'm heading towards the S1 finale and now I'm in territory I haven't heard before (I started relistening after Ep40). Having a blast. If you're quiet enough you can hear me make happy stim noises as I wander through the dark pines.
The Very Prudent Decisions of Hortlakçı Süleyman Hoca
Episodes 3 & 4 (current)
I LOVE THIS SCHOLAR/FOOL <3 I'm excited that Episode 4 is a part 1 (with an amazing scene between Süleyman and the Old Grandfather with the White Beard, played by Karim Kronfli) -> digging our teeth into a longer story. Yum.
The storytelling of this show is so kind and tender and fun and it has great horror moments. Truly amazing work. Everyone listen to this show NOW.
Leaving Corvat
Episodes 1-6
This show feels inspired by Alice Isn't Dead, or maybe that's me listening to both in the same week, hah. It's a little odd to listen to an Americana story from a European creator. There's a lot of fatphobia, bodyshaming/horror-genre typical ableism, and offhand prejudice against the homeless in this one (no CW given by the show). I do really like the twist that's sneaking into these episodes and the background score is great. Enjoyable enough to continue listening; I'm noting the CW in my spreadsheet.
When Angels Visit Armadillo
The full limited series (8 episodes)
This was an incredible, very sapphic "investigative true crime podcast" story set in the US south, small town, Black lesbian lead. Great mystery and I adore good unreliable witnesses/narrators writing. Angels? Aliens? Bunch of bastards? Something else? Guess you'll have to listen and decide for yourself, reader. Immediately on my To Relisten list.
Vignettes
Episodes 1-6 (current)
Someone recommended this show for me for my BINGO card and gods fuck yes this is right up my alley. Improvised microfiction with a mystery/story you kinda have to puzzle for yourself? DELIGHTFUL.
WOE.BEGONE
Episode 252 (S21 finale, current)
We didn't bounce to the moon but that's okay, I love to chase a dream. I adore the Big Plot choices made in this finale. I'm incredibly excited to see these develop into a (this twist of the show specific) exploration of capitalism, corpocracy, and inescapable surveillance state(s).
AUDIO FICTION BINGO
Finally, since we're halfway through the year now (bizarre) I figured I'd share the current state of my personal BINGO cards. I'm aiming to fill every card out with each podcast only counting towards one box - not the bingo rules, I just like making my life difficult. So I still have some listening to do (yahoo yippee)
(Hfth and Leaving Korvat aren't on here because I haven't reached current yet)
Check out vosling's audio fiction Bingo cards! Such a cool idea! And WDYM I've been put on something that also casually has Tatiana Maslany next door ahajshshkskdj
to my audio drama mutuals: does anyone have a recommendation of a short audio drama that someone could listen to in a day or so? I really want to get back into audio drama but all of my favourite shows are quite long and with a lot of them I kind of need to relisten to parts before I catch up and I think this is making me procrastinate getting back into them. I think if there was something that I could listen to quickly I’d get reinvested in the form and feel more motivated to catch up on my favourite shows if that makes sense. Really any genre is fine just as long as it’s shortish and it’s something you really like.
A couple weeks ago or something Olivia asked you for audiodrama recs for the parthenoi. It gets kind of boring listening to Persephone talk all day so I listened to a bunch and just nodded my head while she yapped - she didn't even notice I had headphones in.
@san-lazaro-podcast rules. I watched humanity go through the something similar to a zombie apocalypse a couple years ago and it got... really dark. I usually don't give a shit about what you guys go through, but that... I don't know, I actually felt a little upset. I guess. Even when I wasn't haunting topside, the pain sunk all the way into the Underworld. And that's... really intense. As I've said before, if you listened to our podcast (read: passive aggressive tone towards whoever hasn't), people usually have a hard time telling hard stories. Radio San Lazaro from Cozy AF Media doesn't. I think that's brave, or whatever.
Also, zombies rule. Apocalypse rules. HF Radio as a form of accessible communication during the revolution and/or apocalypse (same thing?) rules. Also, labor is theft and bosses suck. @san-lazaro-podcast has all these things.
Plus -- I laughed twice. And laughing is not something I do. So don't tell other people... I just want people to know the podcast is funny I guess
Don't be stupid, listen to @san-lazaro-podcast. Literally click on it right now. It's right there. JFC, you're so lazy.
E7. Siphon - They are trapped by what they are. They are trapped by what they are?
Vignettes, an improvised audio drama. Sci-fi suspense where you fill in the blanks, and every episode is different from the last.
Click here to listen -> Throw on those headphones, and talk yourself into or out of tearing apart your inner nature here Heading into the booth I genuinely didn't think Siphon would be the final episode; but these things have a way of choosing for you.
I woke up with that gravel in my voice and said: okay, we're gonna work with that. Wasn't expecting to be working with a lot of rage, however. And the rage and complexity of identity of this being has been long brewing.
Fun fact: though I felt this was an anthology, it was not long after I started talking did I realise I was wrong. It legitimately was "Charlie Kelly, wild-eyed, with the red strings" as I spoke lmao and I was making connections to the other episodes left, right, and centre. And that made me oh so excited, listener (my grinning between spitting venom must have looked so strange). Am I going to explain what connections I made though? Absolutely not :D Because this show isn't about explanations. It's about allowing raw emotion to surface. It's about the journey. It's about finding what moments or words connect to you, and discovering why that is significant.
It certainly made me think afterward why these moments hit me so hard. Even just acknowledging those feelings was important.
Vignettes was important for me to make. I didn't know I needed it, or that it was coming, but it made itself known to me anyway.
I hope you can have an outlet too -in any way that makes sense to you- because the world is on fire and feeling connected to others is more crucial than ever. They want us to feel alone, and disconnect from ourselves. I need you to know that you are not alone, not in physical space nor in your feelings, and that those feelings are real and valid.
Grief wears many faces.
Acknowledge it.
Sit with it.
But don't let it consume you.
You've got this.

Coming up next week: Nothing! That's all she figuratively wrote, my loves!
CW for Siphon: (SPOILERS) Rage, existential, loud pounding music (heart beat-like) 5:52 to 7:05
Do people watch creator rambles? Well, I'm posting one anyway :D
The series(?) finale of Vignettes airs tomorrow!
(Also shout out to the HandBrake app for converting the freakin' 1.2GB video off my phone into 25MB! Blessed be your day, HandBrake devs!)
E6. Glitch - They volunteer to test experimental tech. Was it worth the money?
Vignettes, an improvised audio drama. Sci-fi suspense where you fill in the blanks, and every episode is different from the last.
Click here to listen -> Throw on those headphones, use your nose if you have to, and make your choice here I did not expect to be revisiting this genre, but it happened. And boy did it keep me there. I reckon I had as much fun adding SFX & music to this as I did recording the happenings! I had no idea how to make a "not quite in one place" vocal effect, so working out how to audibly represent that was a real fun experimental pushing of buttons in my DAW until I found it. And when I had the idea of how to use the music, I was grinning like an idiot. I legitimately sat at my laptop until I was satisfied with the outcome - just like I've done with every episode; all done in one go & no second guessing whatever I came up with. So, hopefully my enjoyment is apparent when you listen to this poor protagonist's NDA journey haha.

Coming up next week: The final episode! Already?? Apparently!! When I got to episode six, I thought maybe we'd get to eight? But, the stories chose and dictated themselves, and it decided that that was the end of the series. It decided to come back around.
CW for Glitch: (SPOILERS)
Coercion, non-consenting injection, many spiky tech noises, loss of autonomy, dismemberment, lost time, swearing
