Jon Bellion - The Definition
It’s been a while since I last did a review of an album. The album I will be reviewing today is Jon Bellion’s - The Definition. The review is a bit late considering the album came out on the 23rd of September. The reason for me taking time to put out a review is because I wanted to have time to read it and really get to see I the album was good or if it was one of those albums id listen to once; think its good but never really listen to after a week or so.
Before I go into much detail about the album, if you don’t know who Jon Bellion is, I would say go check him out as I think he a great artist as he makes pretty timeless songs. Jon Bellion is a 22 and lives in New York, America. He has released 2 albums before this and both of them have been free just like this one which can be found on his website; JonBellion.com.
There are so many albums we listen and we automatically pick out your favourites but after listening to the album. I wanted to make sure I had listened to the full album a number of times to see if I was going to end up getting bored of the album.
The album seems to be quite a reflection of his life showing that even though he does have money is currently living the life, he does face problems like the rest of us. He touches on different topics throughout his album from relationships, money, insecurities, thoughts whether he is living right and more.
After listening to the album, I have to say my favourite songs are either Carry Your Throne, Munny Right, Human and Pre-Occupied. Me choosing these songs doesn’t mean I do not like the rest of the songs but I had to go to my iTunes and see which songs I played more and to be hones the only song that had a big gap difference in listens was “Pre-Occupied ft. Blaque Keyz”. The song had just over 20 plays more than the other songs.
So to go the album review, I really enjoyed listening to the album but the thing that I noticed is that I listened to the singles that were prepared for the album were good but after the album came out I really didn’t listen to them anymore. All the time when singles would play I would skip them with a few exceptions.
Even though the album was a pop type or album, every song seemed to be different which I thought was quite creative. In every song Jon seemed to try and produce a different type of sound. My favourite song production wise would have to be Carry Your Throne as it varied in the instruments that were used. The song had a full orchestra and I really liked how they were used to produce the final product.
As an album I would rate it at an 8/10 as I thought it was a really good album and I could really listen to it a lot of times but I thought for a good album it need to be consistently great. Even though there were a lot of good songs there were only 2 or 3 songs I would label 5 star song. Songs that I could give to anyone and whether they like pop or not they will like the songs. Other than that I would say you should download the free album and tae a look for yourself and see if you like the album. If you have anything to say please just do drop us a message on out twitter (@NineT3Official) or leave a comment on here.

Searching Sylvan Album Review
So Today I am doing an album review of Quest’s Searching Sylvan. As you probably know, I love to listen to all kinds of music and I love hearing what people have to say with their music. I have been following visionary Music group for a while now and they have 3 artists Quest, Logic and Jon Bellion.
The First artist I first heard was Logic around 2 years ago and since the the guy has gone far. From making music for the quick scopers on Call of Duty to getting features from Childish Gambino, Jhene Aiko and more. He later got signed by Def Jam Records so the guy is doing well for himself.
After listening to Logic I thought he was interesting and I thought id look to see who else Visionary had and I found Jon Bellion. Since finding out about him I have been following this guy very closely even got to see him live at Wireless festival in Birmingham, UK. I fell in love with the artists music after listening to his album Translation Through Speakers.
So like everyone else I guess I went to check who Visionary had as I really liked from their other two artists. I really went to listening to Quest expecting this guy to be a great artist. I watched the video trailer for his album and I made sure I didn’t listen to any of his singles so that I would get the full experience from his album.
I really liked the video trailer to his album as the artist sounded so sincere and show gratitude that he has come a long way to be where he is which made me even more interested to hear his upcoming project. Searching Sylvan dropped on the 2nd of september and I thought I would get it and see what he had to offer.
I liked how the album started off, with a slow soulful instrumental and it starts off with him having a conversation with his mum and her trying to give him some confidence to get on his feet. The track following is a track called Maybe I should that has him rapping on a slow track about thats happening around, well at the time just after the conversation with his mum. So I guessed the album would be his story from the start to where he is right now. I really thought that was a great idea as it was something different and something you don’t occasionally see.
As the album went through I noticed a repeating rap style. Long rap beats and the Kendrick Lamar flow. I am sorry but I wasn’t impressed. The always was a wanna be version of GOOD Kid Maaad City. Because of this I lost interest in the album. I would give the album a 5/10 as I won’t lie but I didn’t find tracks that caught my eye. When you listen to an album theres always that one song that you listen to once and you can remember the chorus or something make you want to listen to it again. Well for this album there was no such thing which was very disappointing. Something that I also picked on was the fact that even though he sounded all sincere and appreciative at the start of the album that all changed as it went along.
I think that as a rapper he should concentrate on what exactly he wants to do as an artist and focus on it because sometimes he chose to sound like Kendrick. Sometimes he would rap is if he is the nicest guy around then afterwards do a song with a trap beat as if he’s the biggest coke dealer around and to be me its very inconsistent.
Anyway that was my review of Searching Sylvan. I hope to hear a change from him when he releases his next upcoming project but I wasn’t a fan of this current one. Please share and follow NineT3Official on Twitter. Thanks

Jhene Aiko - Souled Out Review
For all you who don't know. Jhené Aiko is an America singer who is well known for her soulful R&B music. She has managed to feature with the likes of Drake, Kanye West, Kendrick, J.Cole, Gambino, Schoolboy Q and a number of artists that are well known in the music industry. Her music is definitely what a depressed person shouldn't listen to but you will either love her or hate her. She makes angelic music that just flows into your ears and unlike Rihanna and other main singers, she is very down to earth and sends a positive message in all her music. She is more of a story teller rather than most singers which I guess attracts a lot of people to her music.
When I first started listening to the album, the first two singles to me were just ordinary songs. I guess I was expecting too much of her album expecting it to blow my mind. The songs were decent but not as good as the two songs that followed. The two songs that followed were Jhené Aikò's singles that came out which were "To Love & Die" and "Spotless Mind" if you hadn't heard them before. I really enjoyed the two songs but then after listening to the first two songs I was wondering if the following songs on the album were going to be good songs too or not.
Well with an open mind I still went and continued listening to find out what the album had to offer. The song that followed right after is called "It's Cool". To me the song was very repetitive and wasn't my kind of style and I wasn't too impressed with the song if I must say. The song afterwards she sang as if she was the female drake. She really went well on the track and I would say that is one good song; it is called "Lyin King".
The song "Wading" is a good song and it's just a nice smooth going song about her playing hard to get but she hopes he can accept all her flaws. The song is followed by a single she also released called The Pressure.
I would continue on going through every song but I real enjoyed the second half of the album and to be honest the second half of the album probably has my favourite song off the whole album which is "Eternal Sunshine". I would give the album another 7/10 as it could have improved quite a bit even though it was a good album. To me the album wasn’t as consistent as I would have hoped it to be. Neither-wise it was a good album and if you do like soulful music then take a look at the album.
AB - D.R.U.G.S (Interview)
I got the chance of talking to A.B. via Skype on the 3rd September and the guy was very down to earth. We got talking and I thought I would get to know the guy better and what better way to know him than ask him questions. A.B. Stands for his name which is Aaron Bell. The rapper lives in Texas but he is originally from Kansas. A.B. has a lot to offer and he has been spending most of his time recording tracks and trying to perfect his upcoming project. The upcoming project is going to be called AB-D.R.U.G.S. (Drinking Recreationally Under Gods Supervision). Expect to see it drop hopefully before the end of the year. He has been recording for 18 months now and only 1 single has come out so far. If you haven’t taken a look at the single, the SoundCloud link is right below.
I asked him who he would say is his inspiration/idol and why?
He replied Tech N9ne because the guy has been relevant for more than 20 years and he is still going. He added on to say it is difficult to keep that level of a standard and fan base after a long period of time as a lot of people in the music industry come and go. He also said he respected Jay Z and Diddy as they have been able to use rap not just to sell records but to make business ventures out of their careers and contacts.
The second question was "If you had to choose 3 Albums what albums that you could listen to what albums would they be, 1 album from the 90s, 1 from the 2000’s and 1 more 2010 onwards:”
A.B. said "From the 90s it would have to be illmatic, from the 2000’s I would have to say Jeezy’s The inspiration and Kendrick’s G.O.O.D Kid Maad City.
I really liked his choice of albums as they are not albums that are chosen by most people. Nas’ illmatic is a definite classic and Young Jeezy’s The Inspiration was something I never expected him to say. He said he loved the album as Jeezy really introduced trap music and I have to say that is a fair comment. I never thought about it that way but I would have to revisit the album and take a look. The third album is a classic for a lot of people and I am pretty sure that album has already been added to one of the best rap albums of all time.
I asked him if he could have a any producer make a track for him who would it be and he went on to say Timbaland. He likes how Timbaland has been able to make many different style beats for different artists and even though the producer isn’t the biggest guy at the moment, he really thinks he is one of his all time favourite producers.
This question is last but definitely not the least important question I got to ask A.B.
“What made you want to be a rapper?"
A.B.: "Ever since I was little I have always been interested in music and short stories. I used to watch MTV back in the day and that made me want to make something of myself and share my talent and my stories with the world."
If you liked what the guy had to say and what he had to offer then please do follow him on:
Twitter: @ABmusiconline
Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/abmusiconline
Looks like he is here to make his own lane as the guy has his very own perspective and vision as a rapper which shows the guy is not motivated by money but by good music.
Thanks for reading. Please subscribe and share.

Jon Bellion - Luxury ft. Audra Mae
The follow up to Munny Right has just been released. The third single was premiered by Time Magazine at 7pm GMT.
The single shows an emotional side of Jon and him reflecting on him getting money. He doesn't want to become an ass because of all the money coming into his pockets.
What do you think of the record?
